SPARTACUS AS WELL, THE series from Starz

In my opinion Gladiator was one of the best films ever made, I think I've seen it over 1000 times.

20 years has passed by , but this movie was well ahead of that time.Never will I ever get bored watching this movie again n again ..

I watched this movie with my father when I was a child and it became a thing between us to watch this and spend some quality time together. He passed away 2 years ago and every time I watch this movie or this scene, it reminds me of him, painfully, but some of the good memories of him.

I was watching the multiples version dubbed of thif film, due my profesional activities.. the french is the best.. second is japanese, third is spanish even oryginal english is not so emotional as the french... at the begins when Maximus sais "relaches des enferes" you have a gousse bumps...

J'ai rarement connu un tel sentiment de statisfaction devant une fin de film. Le fait que sa mort est montrée comme qqch qu'il attendait et qui le soulage et surtout... Rien ne peut surpasser la satisfaction de l'enchaînement "Il était un soldat de Rome, honorez_le", le porté solennel de Maximus et le corps de l'autre merde qui est délaissé par tlm. Un plaisir cette scène à chaque fois. Oui c'est mélancolique, oui y a de l'émotion mais en soit, c'est un happy end

I remember the first time I watched this fight and how I enjoyed every single punch that Maximus gave to Commodus.

That moment where she says 'Go to them' and Maximus returns her gaze for one last time before turning his head in death, is so profoundly moving. I've watched this film dozens of times and that one scene never ceases to catch my breath.

Apparently he doesn't actually die. The director wants to do a sequel and he said Maximus actually survives

I never noticed the respect Maximus give to Commodus when he is dying. A great guy. RIP

I love how the filmmakers managed to sell the underlying truth in this scene. Wounded Maximus had been a soldier his whole life and delusional Commodus never really had a chance. Its a sadness that makes your final verdict of the villian linger between hate, sadness and even pity.

2:17 I love how the cheering stops as Maximus draws the dagger closer to Commodus, and then absolute silence as he kills him.

Joker is pretty badass, keeping up with Jor-El for that long.

2:12 I love this part so much I mean just look how much skill it takes to be exhausted in pain of a severe wound and be able to block the arm of the opponent and carrying the punches like they nothing this takes high combat training dedication it also looks amazing when performed I love that arm block so much it's so effective too

@True South No, not somewhat. They were very heavily staged. The poor souls he picked were equipped with very dull swords and litteraly no armor at all against an emperor with the best swords and armor money could buy.

Man that ice-cold stare he gives him when he slices his throat open, it's like he's saying "We used to be brothers... now your legacy fill forever be this humiliating defeat."

J'ai vue ce film pour la première fois en 2004 et même aujourd'hui encore j'ai des larmes quand je vois cette scène . Trop d'émotions !

How the legends and stories of Rome and its time echo down the centuries to provide us with great material for wonderful human drama and entertainment. Even though this story is fictional it feels very real and believable. That is why it is such a great movie.

that last scene is very emotional, the return home. The body dies but not the spirit. An unforgettable film. Great performances in many films, but in my view, in Gladiator, Russell Crowe was brilliant.

I think what strucked me the most in this scene is the cold sounds commodus make when he get stabbed in the neck. There was no voice during the whole fight and it’s the first one we hear since. At the exact same time the music stop and then you see commodus facial expression, saying that it’s over, looking at maximus like a baby watching his father. Then maximum get him to the ground with a hand behind his neck like a father would carry his newborn child. The scenes in this movie are incredibly well thought

When you went to pick a flower, which one do you pick? Obviously the best looking one.
