@@Trio3224 its just a marketing thing and its probably there to please a younger audience. But if something like this would def fit, let's say, Bad Boys or something, on Gladiator is like you'd put Jennifer Lopez on a SAW trailer.

I never thought I'd see the day where there was a Gladiator 2. Now I can only wish I hadn't'.

I love me some Denzel and yet have zero desire to watch this.

The rap music being used, even if for just a promo, is akin to a shit-stain on a beautiful, white roman drapery

I find it so fascinating when actors from shows I watch that don’t get a lot traction through the social media streets, find their way to the big screen. Him & Daisy Edgar-Jones from Normal People have both made a name for themselves. Goes to show patience & small beginnings reaps massive results. Unpopular opinion, but I didn’t like Fresh (sorry) but a movie I did like & recommend, is Foe. I thought Paul Mescal’s acting was really good in it. I may watch this movie only due to Denzel, I didn’t know he was in it, but I barely liked the first Gladiator. Spartacus just left such an impression on me that other similar offerings are, ok 🤷🏽‍♀️🥴😊

So we got Mescal, Pascal & a drizzle of Denzel.. smells like another bad sequel if you ask me.

Sequel to one of the greatest movies of all times - what could possibly go wrong? Normally I would think it will sink like Titanic II, without an iceberg even, but... who knows? Maybe it won't be the worst of sequels, even if it is one of the least needed.

We should all know many movies flop because trailers give it all away and kill dead any desire to see the whole film. Plus... why isn't Ridley Scott looking to make another Alien or Blade Runner? I don't mean sequeals or prequels, but another original film to match his two greatest films. This just feels like old ground.

I'm Italian and I still worship the old gods and our old customs and seeing these films about our modernized empire is shameful, a black man who plays the politician is a shameful film and shouldn't even come out. Because unfortunately in those days there was racism and all things that are more or less no longer there today so making such a film is not a shameful sense

Why do modern movie trailer always try to make a period movie like this, a western, or a medieval movie look like an action movie? It just doesn't fit. This trailer is almost as bad as the "Those About to Die" trailer wit the hip hop music in it. I remember watching the trailer for "Gladiator' 24 years ago and wanting to see it so bad in the theater. I watched this and shook my head. It's going to bomb so hard. I can see one BIG mistake already. They showed sea battles being fought in the Colosseum. That was only able to be done before the hypogeum was constructed under the Colosseum, which was done about 10m years after initial construction was completed. The events in the first Gladiator movie take place about 90-100 years after that. Seeing that in the trailer tells me that this movie is nothing ,ore than inaccurate pile of modern storytelling mixed with over the top action. Just a cash grabhat will never live up to the first movie.

Oh brother! 🫣....a rhino on the arena, Denzel, so out of place in this movie, hip hop music, etc. Like a roman emperor I give it my 👎.....I mean I am sure it's gonna be entertaining as hell as it will include more battle scenes but does not make justice to the original. Should have been called something else not Gladiator 2 😒

Being ancient Rome as brutal as it was I believe you, however it kind of seems fictitious how a gladiator would be riding it instead of fighting it. That makes the scene out of Star Wars the Clone Wars....I saw in many interviews that sir Ridley wanted to add a rhino scene since Gladiator 1 but they neither had the budget or technology for it at the time​ so it appears in this sequel he finally got his wish, lol @@slimslamfl
