Gktech V2 Z33 350Z/V35/G35 Steering Angle Kit - Install

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The GKTECH V2 Z33 350z/V35 Skyline angle kit is a simple, lightweight, yet super effective bolt on steering kit.
It is a bolt on kit, meaning it can be fitted and removed with no modifications.
With 30% faster steering and a height adjustable rod end for some added bump steer correction these are not just suitable for dedicated drift cars and will work equally as well for a grip/street car looking to speed their steering up.
If you own one of these vehicles, you would know the OEM steering angle on the Z/V chassis sucks! We measured them to having around 37 degrees lead wheel and even less trailing. This kit will allow you to get around 60 degrees of lock lead wheel and with close to 0 ackerman you will acheive near parallel front steering.
We strongly recommend our bolt on rack spacer to make the most of the kit but they are an optional item as some people may already have a rack spacer.
More information on this can be seen in the FAQ below.
- 30% faster steering
- Near 0 ackerman
- Bump steer correction
- Circa 60 degrees of steering lock
Vehicle Compatibility:
- Nissan Z33 350z
- Nissan V35 Skyline

What do you guys recommend for alignment specs? I'm running -2 camber, caster as far forward and 0 toe. I have light binding when I go full lock.

It is personal preference really as it depends on driver skill, track speed, street or track etc, I would stick with OEM alignment specs and go from there. You can determine from tyre wear and how the car feels and adjust from there based off that!

I installed this(technically V1 I believe), two problem occurs. 1) Hit the near steer lock, do not self center. Self center works fine about 70-80% steer but tend to go even further over 70-80% steer. I can take this but... 2) When turn hard in slow speed like parking, SLIP light turned on and ABS kicked in. Very annoying and I don't know what to do.

Hi there, they possibly haven't centered the steering rack correctly. Allowing for more steering angle in one direction than the other.

Would this kit work on a 350z which has standard ride night? I have lots of your products on my s14 and z32 but wouldn’t mind some extra lock on my z33 daily driver. I just don’t want to run coil overs due to where I live and the fact that it handles so well oem

Hey dude! Good to hear you are running our parts on your other cars, that is awesome! It will physically bolt up and give you more lock, but it is not recommended on standard suspension. Due to the nature of the kit and the near zero ackerman it does tend to make the steering feel weird and fall to lock when turning. I would suggest a super soft street coilover, lowering it tastefully and then installing!

You say brake line may get close to coil depending on set up. What set up can be run to negate this issue?

  • @gktech

    @gktech

    4 жыл бұрын

Hey dude, We suggest spacing your lockstop out enough so that it hits the lockstop before it hits the brake line, if you are running OEM arms as mentioned in the video. If you are looking to upgrade lower arms, then ours would move the coilover inwards enough for the line not to clear!
