That's a beautiful clock. It seems like just the nature of the beast that with mechanical clocks there are going to be glitches from time to time. I was glad you showed the clock with the quail on the quarter hour and the cuckoo on the hour at the end.

Another great video. Out of all the pictures that I have saved on my computer Alexander Fleig uses a 5 cut away hole count wheel but that is on their spring driven movements. Very well could be an Alexander Fleig movement as you know that GK only bought and sold clocks but the cuckoo quail movements that I have pictures of dont have that big curve that trips from the quail to the cuckoo. Hubert Herr does. So it very well could be a Hubert Herr movement. However their count wheels are all 4 hole count wheels on both the quail and the cuckoo. I would leave the bird alone but you did great. The clock looks and sounds great. I love how you show some of your clocks at the end. Thanks for the shout out. God bless you and yours.

Sometimes these old clocks get a little fussy if you don't get things just right and sometimes it's just because they have so much wear from use. Thanks so much for stopping in and Have a Great Week.

Is that a new intro? I like it. I'm working on the same movement again. I was going to fix it and it was working right when I put it on the stand. But the movement sometimes doesn't work right. So I've broken it down and fixed it over the last two days. Good video!

I have a new editing program. I couldn't stand the one I was using. With the wear these clock have gotten, because of the age and well loved clock, there are things we miss or have been hidden until we put a closer eye on it. I think I will be having another video on mine because of another issue that popped up. This will show that just because you already worked on the clock, there might be more issues to come. Mine has been working great for 6 months now and bam! in the shop it goes again.

0:47,i would definitely put that clock inside my home,the details are something they just dont take the time to really do anymore with stuff😢,but ide have to mute all that tick tock noise😅

You might mute the sound at night, but in time you will not even hear the clock because you get use to the sounds. And if you hear the clock early in the morning, you will find your self counting the cuckoo's to know what time it is with out opening your eyes. Your cuckoo gong is striking multiple bounces. The gong spring wire is wrapped up around the frame, putting the pressure the wrong direction. The wire should go around and down into the hole under the bellows lift arm, like the one on the quail side.

You are right and that is why I started small and worked up to the more difficult clocks. Now, I sometimes pull my hair out, but it is truly a joy to work on them and get them back in order to run again for several years. Thanks so much for watching Bat.

Hmm i think the wire that lift the cuckoo bird tail is a little bit too high, so it slip through the cuckoo bird tail and stuck it there:////

I have found that I forget to get the wire under the tail of the bird when I install the movement. I will admit the wire also needs a better adjustment for the bird tail as well. Thanks so much for your thoughts and thanks for watching Danh Khoa Nguyễn
