Giving my Honda Civic the ULTIMATE Interior Detail | Start to Finish

Фильм және анимация

It's time to give my Honda Civic project a MUCH needed interior cleaning! In this video I show you how I tackle interior detailing with the tips and tricks I learned over the years.
Interior detailing is highly underrated and makes all the difference in the driving experience of a car. I purposely let my daily driven civic get filthy over the last few months to show you how to detail and transform your dirty interior. The goal was to achieve professional results with a majority of common detailing products and a few specialty items. I think the before and after transformation gives you a good idea, but let's break down what I did.
For the interior carpets and upholstery, I primarily used a vacuum, an interior cleaner, detailing brushes, and a handful of microfiber towels. The McCulloch 1275 steamer can speed up the process and generally provide a deeper clean for all the fabrics but can also be used on the plastics, windows, and dash. If you have leather, you can use the same process but followed up with a leather conditioner to keep the leather protected and feeling supple.
For the interior plastics. I like to use an interior cleaner, brushes, and towels to remove the grime. Following the cleaner, an interior protectant (with UV inhibitors) is helpful to protect the clean surface from the sun and keep them looking new.
Other details like cleaning rubber floor matts and cloth matts can be tackled with a dedicated rubber cleaner or all purpose cleaner to remove the dirt, oils, and other filth brought into the vehicle. I like to also utilize toothpicks for picking out pedals, small crevices, and seatbelt inserts.
I save the glass cleaning for last because nobody likes streaky glass. A couple dedicated glass cleaning microfibers and a good glass cleaner will always give me awesome results.
I hope you guys dig this video and (hopefully) learned a couple things to detail your cars interior at home! For all the products and tools I used in the video, check out the links below!

I'm a few years behind and catching up on your channel. I appreciate your detail in detailing. Hoping this motivates my kids to take better care of their first cars as well as my own. One thing i would add that doesn't take too much time is taking out the seats. Makes it easier to get under when they're not there. At least on your initial purchase of a used car. And it gives you a better look at things that may need replacing. Anyhow, great video.
