Unless it's Roger Craig Smith Sonic. He'd probably say something like: "Hey, what's the matter? Sheep got your tongue? HA! GET IT?! Cause you're a sheep, and you can't talk! Ha ha, you got to admit that was funny."

This was very sweet and I love how Sonic knew she had trouble communicating and immediately adapted to the situation

Sonic knowing that she can't communicate reminds me of what my incarnation of Sonic will be like in a fan series I'll be making sometime in College. He's the same as you know him now, cocky, has an ego, enjoys running, adventurous, blah blah blah. But here's the difference. In my headcanon (which the fan series will be heavily based on), he has ASD (Austism Spectrum Disorder) where sometimes he tends to have restricted or repetitive behaviors or interests (proof of this is that he describes Green Hill as his "home" and chooses to start his adventures there to in order to prepare himself for what he's up against is a nod to how many times Green Hill is used in Sonic games). But, it also causes him to have the insight of expressing himself more during hard times and getting emotional every now and then, but still remaining tough at the same time. Whenever he sees a new race of species getting harmed by someone that's not Dr. Eggman (sometimes Eggman can harm the species, but 8 times it of 10, it really doesn't affect Sonic that much as he keeps things in tact and gets it all over with due to his headstrong side and being healthily adjusted with stopping Eggman from harming nature, it just depends on if Eggman becomes insane enough where it can piss Sonic off), he sometimes gets furious and turns into Dark Sonic where his rage leads him to actually hurting the threat and becoming aggressive towards those who were helping the threat or ends up having lighting emit from his body (nod to the Sonic Movies) where he goes too fast and breaks his regular speed of 767 mph where it can dangerously reach 935 mph, causing him to become pissed off and insane. If he does go at 935, he will end up breaking the speed of light where the lightning and electricity in his body lashes out and causes a worldwide blackout which also causes Sonic to get injured and black out into a coma, concerning citizens about his mental and physical health (he looks up to the people that he saves as friends as they do the same with Sonic out of appreciation and/or just being friendly people as usual). Another new thing is that he also tends to meet girls the most since they usually introduce him to their homeworld and the ancient mysteries the location they live in have to offer (callback to the storybook games) and the fact that he's getting into a phase where he becomes respectful towards women by himself, meaning that he'll eventually confess his shy secret to Amy about how he felt about her all along. Also, his fear of water can sometimes turn into panic attacks and he fears losing his friends since he sometimes has nightmares about it happening. Lastly, he deeply understands most people with special needs or differences to where if they feel ashamed, he always becomes the good influencer and gives them advice to not be ashamed for who they are and that it's okay. Basically, my version of Sonic is a mix between a egotistical daredevil and a kind hearted, understandable person. He's meant to represent most teens that are good people and are currently making a difference who also face tough challenges, but experience wonderful opportunities in life as they get older.

​@@76o90I hope so too. Right now I'm on the forge of making concepts and voice impression-izing my scripts on Google Docs to give myself a feel on what the show will be like. The show will follow Sonic going on new adventures with his friends old and new (yes there are new characters, I may have announced them in other comment sections) while travelling to past locations and new places. For comedic episodes, the writing will be similar to Sonic Boom (TV show) and your generic Nickelodeon or Disney XD show. As for the episodes that are a hybrid between funny and serious, the writing will be like Sonic Prime, the Sonic Movies, and the MCU movies. I'm thinking on either having it animated in Blender or Maya, whichever can handle enough props and stuff. No info for VAs or soundtrack at the time. However, some food for thought I have in terms of VAs and soundtrack is to have the OST of the show be composed by Turret3471, Jahn Davis, Bouncy Glow's Music Room, NicoCW, Lil Boulder, TheLegendofRenagade, JX, and anyone that can do casual/epic orchestra music. And some ideas I also have for VAs was thinking about collabing with Sonicsong182 and Caudle (Its a Disney inspired ASMR RP... **Clears throat** furry... channel that makes me question my existence). Also, I might tap in with Garrulous64, my cousin who is a Sonic fan, or my Brother to help with writing comedic/day-in-the-life episodes vs serious/funny hybrid storyline episodes. Edit: Christ that was a mouthful lol

Goodness, this made me cry. This is such a wholesome take on his character and I adore the head-canon of him knowing a bit of sign language. It would make sense given he's an avid reader, I could see him picking up a few foreign languages too on his chill days. Absolutely love this idea to bits! Also, awesome animation and voice acting as always!

I haven't seen Sonic so gentle and humble like this since Sonic X with Helen in her wheelchair. This was wonderful. This should be canon.

Tell me why this anthropomorphic cartoon hedgehog is a better role model than at least 90% of celebrities? Funny how being kind is seen as a weakness but lowering yourself to assist others takes more strength than to put them down. A true role model

I always love the headcanon that Sonic knew sign language, which is how he communicated before he could. He may be a little rusty, but he still tries. 😊 I recognize the outtro. One of my favorite Sonic songs.

I really appreciate including deafness or any disability in fanmade content. It helps to normalize it and show that just because someone has that disability, it doesn't mean they can't do something

I love this animation, It truly shows Sonic's character. Fast, cool but more importantly...Kind.

I absolutely love that Sonic did the sign language. One of my favorite head cannons for sonic is that he's multilingual including being able to use sign language. The guy has traveled a lot and saved hundreds of people, so I think it makes a lot of sense.

That is so sweet seeing how Sonic trying communicate to a deaf person like Holly. The most heartwarming moment was that when Sonic sign to her "You're beautiful" and she tell him "Thank you". She's not at all a deaf. She's hear sometimes.🙂

That's not especially true. With deaf people, even if they can't hear the sound of their own voice, they can feel their own voice and the words as they come out. This mostly pertains to people who weren't born deaf, but became deaf at some point. Those people can't hear what they speak, but they remember what it was like to speak.

I was given an assignment in English to write a reaction paper about a short film called "The Silent Child" about a deaf child being taught to communicate, and then I ran into this video on my break. This truly warmed my heart to see Sonic interacting with a disabled character like this. I'm not too good with deaf people, but as I've known a little sign language since I was a kid (thanks to Sesame Street), this video and the short film has made want to practice sign language again. Give yourself a pat on the back for inspiring people once again Pixelrush. You deserve it for helping make the world better and making people aware 😊👍🏾

When I saw her pointing her ears, I was saying "ohhh she's deaf." Sonic will always have a good heart. This is really heartwarming and cute, and it's great that sonic is communicating her with sign language.

I'm very late on watching this, but this actually brought tears to my eyes- this is beautiful!! This really shows not just how kind-hearted and caring Sonic is, but can also be a testament to the (good side of the) Sonic community itself and how open and inclusive it is. 💙 Also, nice touch on that soundtrack! Gotta love that Sonic 06 music!

That was very beautiful, I miss the days when sonicare even life lessons just like all the other cartoons during the 80s and 90s… OK some of them did that but the point was kids learned from that and this is something that kids need to learn too: as Emcee voices put it, sonic is not the type to make disabilities stop him from being kind to others.

Great job on the video! I’ve always thought that Sonic has been an all around great character with the desire to help anyone just because they need help and he wants to be there to help them. This video also does a great job of portraying that, and shows sonic going the extra mile by learning a bit of ASL just for the benefit of others. Amazing!

One detail I loved about this which may or may not have been intentional is how Sonic smiles before instantly accelerating to supersonic speeds as he realized he can do so without worrying about the sonoc boom damaging her ears.

I love this! Sonic may be a little rusty, but he still remembers his sign language, especially once he got back into the motions of it, you could almost see the muscle memory kick back in! I’ve always imagined that, since Classic Sonic is Sonic from the past and is mute, Sonic himself knows sign language because he himself is selectively mute.

With Sonic talking with his hands in the 2010's , this actually makes sense. And it gives more character to an otherwise confusing direction. Actually would have been nice if he learned this as Classic Sonic so he could talk.
