    I think Curling Bomb should cost 50% of your ink tank, and should get a line when you charge it that shows how far it will go and where it'll explode.

    I've had this idea for the angle shooter that it's damage increases depends on how far it hits the target which makes it become really scary against long range weapons like chargers and splatlings.

    I thought of a weird buff for beakon, if an enemy player gets close to it, it will point them out as if they were under the effects of thermal ink until the beakon is destroyed or if the player goes out of it’s range. Like how they can be pointed out on the map if they are near a beakon in game.

    Can I propose a rework to the angle shooter: Goal: to make this sub more of a “hunt” sub because currently we don’t have a sub that really incentivizes a follow up. Since this sub already has some sonar it seems like this concept could be fleshed out. Changes: reduce indirect tripwire reveal by 1 second This is a nerf that will help flesh out the use of the next change as more “gotta go in on this ONE person”. I don’t want to remove it because A. The sub isn’t even strong right now there is no real point, B. It kinda helps you position to dive the target. The direct line marker hit will now slow the target for 4 seconds, ramping up from 5%-30%. Specifically the first second will rise the slow to 10%, 2nd second to 20%, and third to 30%. This slows your swim and run speed. This will help define it as a “target locked” sub that incentivizes chasing to finish the kill with a 35 damage sub ping, location, and a crippling slow that paints on the ground to make it even harder to escape without help from your team. Sub power shouldn’t change slow and probably only change mark duration or damage what do you guys think?

    Here's my take on curling as an avid splat roller enjoyer. The main issue with curling is that while it is good for mobility, that is all it is good for. Cooking a curling bomb is nearly worthless, despite being the explosive option, there are very few situations where the best option to deal with someone in close quarters is to charge up an explosion while doing nothing else. So, make cooked curling a beast of a bomb. It frankly deserves it, it costs the same as a suction bomb, takes 50% longer to explode than suction, requires the player to spend time charging it instead of firing and forgetting like suction, and cant be lobbed vertically. Not only should cooked curling travel just as far, if not further than uncooked, but it should have a massive explosion at the end. To improve quality of life on both ends, give it an autobomb function where it slows down when an enemy is in radius and primes itself to explode, which both means it will explode in more valuable areas, and it can be disarmed by activating it and getting out of range

    Only thing beakons need is a slight health increase to survive at least one blast from a wave breaker. I've been using the dapple dualies since the beginning and nothing is more frustrating then getting a chunk of your beakons wrecked almost immediately by a special you don't have to aim. You already lose a large chunk of ink deploying one and they aren't particularly strong against enemy fire anyway. Considering they slapped beakons on a crap ton of weapons now it would be a nightmare if they were invisible and the high ink cost just means you need to be smarter about placement.

    I think a good change for toxic mist is that it makes you take damage while your in your own ink while in the circle. It would enable plays where you can solidify kills and it will discourage inking your feet and just swimming out if you are low hp. It doesn't have to be huge, just enough to force the person in it to change how they deal with it.

    I do like the idea of Linemarker being some kind of laser. Instead of immediately damaging the player when tripping over the wire, it will slowly damage the player like how Killer Wail 5.1 does. Also, Curling Bomb should have a feature that it consumes less ink when you shorten its duration.

    I actually thought of some ideas on how to buff some of the utility subs myself so here are my ideas. -Toxic Mist has MIST in its name, so why not make it a smoke screen? The mist will be about either completely opaque or maybe a little translucient but looks the same before the buff to the user and teammates. We've never seen any kind of smoke screen in a splatoon game before unless you count Ink Storm in Splatoon 2's Moray and Walleye. -Chara's idea for buffing Point Sensor is actually really good so I wouldn't change much about it other than maybe a bit less ink consumption. -Squid Beakon doesn't really need buffs, but it could use a QoL change: When a teammate uses your beakon, you'll get a little notifiction like a sound and message that's similar to Tacticooler that tells you that a teammate just jumped to your Beakon. -Ink Mine is same as video. -Splash Wall is same as video. -Sprinkler is same but they will be no longer destroyed when you get splatted, and you can also place 2 of them at once now. -Angle Shooter should I think instead of damaging you, should put enemy ink at your feet if you touch it, gives it the purpose of a trip wire, but just like Wave Breaker, you could avoid the feet paintage by jumping, though it will still place enemy ink. Also make it last a little longer. -Curling Bomb should add a ripple effect right behind it so it's easier to not get seen while you're swimming with it.

    My takes / buffs Subs Splat bomb - It’s good as it is Suction bomb - shorten the explosion time by half a second Curling bomb - increase the speed at which it moves by 1.2x Auto bomb - have it chase a player 1.5x faster, and have it explode 1.4x faster Burst bomb - good as it is Angle shooter - have a direct hit do 45 dmg, and if you walk into the line, it will do 25 dmg Beakon - Good as it is Sprinkler - have it not break when you die, increase HP, increase the radius by 1.3x, and have it decay slower Splash wall - Have you be able to control where you can throw it like a regular bomb Toxic mist - have it slowly kill the player just like an ink storm (because clearly the mist is made of ink) Torpedo - Increase the explosion radius of the mini explosion by 1.15x Fizzy bomb - it’s good as it is Ink Mine - You should be able to throw them *(And if you throw them and they stick to a player, it does an extra 15 dmg)* Specials Trizooka - Increase the hitbox of the shots, and let the indirect shots do 55 dmg Big bubbler - Increase the HP by 100, and increase duration by 2 seconds Reefslider - have 150 HP ink armor after it explodes and no end lag Tacti-cooler - have the sodas last an extra 3 seconds and have the particles disappear if you have ninja squid *(This is kind of a stretch but, have it have a Beakon, kinda like big bubbler)* Ink Vac - It should be able to collect enemy ink that’s on the floor, it should also charge up slowly even if it doesn’t collect any ink (like Booyah bomb) But only halfway through the charge cycle Booyah Bomb - It is good as it is Ultra Stamp - players should not be able to hit you from the front of the stamp, and if you jump and front flip with the stamp mid air, it should flick ink in-front of you and behind you *(But not a lot of ink)* Super chump - Increase each chumps HP by 50 HP, have it so 4 more chumps launch, and they should explode on impact if they land on a player *(dealing 65 dmg)* Kraken Royale - decrease the knock back Power by 1.3x and have the kraken move 1.4x faster than a player swimming in ink Triple Inkstrike - If you throw a suction on a player, it should stick to the player and it will strike the player and you should be able to swim when you use it Zip Caster - If you stick your hand to a ground surface, when you land, you should be able to roll as if you had Drop roller, and decrease how much ink is used by 1.3x Killer Wail 5.1 - have it damage a player 1.7x faster, and have the wail beams follow a player more efficiently Crab Tank - *N E R F, I T* when the crab finishes, have it have Kraken Royale end lag *(Please respect my opinions and don’t go like “AcTuAlLy, ThEsE BuFfS aRe A bAd IdEa” it’s my opinion)*

    With beacon it should have "if placed near super chump launcher beacon will be launched into the area of the chumps" this would probably be unbalanced and allow lots of out of bounds stuff but it sure would be funny.

    I think Toxic Mist, Ink Mine, Point Sensor, Angle Shooter, and Curling Bomb should not cost any more than 35% and even that much I believe is still too much for some of them. I feel like it's the same kind of logic as like buying something from Wish or something. It's fine to be a low quality product if it also is very cheap. And I feel like some of these subs could actually find a niche with such a low cost. Specifically I feel like Angle Shooter comes to mind as something that could actually have a use case if you could throw 3 or 4 before even putting any sub saver on

    Beakon has a radius that can track opponents on the map similar to how the recon ability worked in S1. If that radius were increased by like 25-30% that would be a nice buff.

    Had a couple ideas myself for utility sub buffs that ive been thinking about recently (since that's all we're getting in the new season). Toxic mist I think should do damage over time. Specifically, it should do damage based on movement speed that punishes players for rushing though it (swimming from one side to the other could do ~30 damage, while standing still the damage is negligible). It would also be similar to damage from standing in ink in that it could never kill on it's own, a player needs to finish them off. Squid beacon is already good so my only change would be to have a little message pop-up for when the beacon is used by a teammate just like with tacticooler, possibly a separate one for if it's destroyed like ink mines. Splash wall is similar, think all it needs is some QoL where you can see the throw arc before throwing it like with bombs. Ink mines my idea is literally just the same one you brought up, being able to throw it (glad that's getting more popular). Angle shooter I actually think this is the sub weapon that should apply splatoon 1 disrupter, as I feel that's the only way to justify the difficulty of landing a direct hit without absurd changes like it doing 60 damage. And lastly there's sprinkler, which... I have no idea what to do with I'll be honest. All the other subs I tried to look at what they're supposed to do and help them do it better, but with sprinkler I have no idea what it's "supposed" to do. You'd think it's supposed to paint, but all the devs have done is nerf it's painting throughout splatoon 2 even though it never once was that good of a sub weapon to begin with. If they weren't willing to revert its nerfs then I feel like sprinkler just needs to be reworked altogether.

    I thought of an idea for Toxic Mist to be like a mini ink storm like how point sensor is a mini echolocator. It obviously wouldn't be an actual ink storm, I more so mean that after throwing and setting a toxic mist, players inside of it would gradually accumulate damage inside. Unlike ink storm however, toxic mist alone would not kill and would only have a maximum damage effect of 20-40% HP depending on how strong it'd be i.e. how fast the damage racks up. This would add a bit of combo potential for weapons with mist if paired well with weapons and 'lethality' to it. As an extra effect, the area the mist covers could also gradually be dotted with ink similar to ink storm, however, if this was added, the maximum damage toxic mist could dish out would have to stay on the lower side.

    If I'd known, I would've piped in on Beakons and said that their icons on the map are harder to see on enemy maps, and should an enemy hang around them for too long, or they destroy it, they get "thermal ink"ed, where their outline is visible to allies behind walls for about 3 or 5 seconds after they leave the AoE or after destroying it.

    I think curling bombs should also be able to go up inkable walls, then maybe you could do sneak attacks, make you go up faster, and if it slows down on a wall it goes down a bit

    Everytime Angle Shooter hits a wall, it’s range increases 50% more. It wont extend any more after it hits a wall 3 times

    These are my ideas on how to buff these sub weapons. Your toxic mist idea is great and I think it should be in the game. For point sensor I always thought it would be fun if it directly hit someone they would take 50 damage. Squid Beakon should not show up on the opponent’s map but make a noise so if you are near one you can find it and destroy it. Ink Mine should be able to be thrown and do 70 damage so it doesn’t splat the opponent but does some damage. Splash wall should have more health. Your sprinkler idea is great and I think it should be in the game. The Angle shooter laser should work like the Killer Wail 5.1 were if you are touching it you start taking damage. Your curling bomb idea is great and I think it should be in the game.

    I actually would like to throw ink mines. It would really be cool to throw it under someone’s feet if their chasing you. And just to put it on the floor, all you can do is just look down. But if it were a thing I would probably use it 24/7

    I think making toxic mist more like distrupter is a very dangerous game to play considering how broken it was in 1. I think if we make it that strong it should be kept to a relatively small radius and shouldn't stick once outside the radius for more than like a second at most. I feel like even thats enough for most weapons to get an easy pick.

    What if the angle shooter's tripwire instead of damaging you gave you the disruptor slow down efect for a short period of time (1-2 seconds for example) it would be like making an oponen trip

    Maybe I just use curling bombs too much, but I feel curling bombs would be OP if those explode on contact. Making it 50% less ink consumptions sounds good and I agree that the consumption should be lower, however, if you could throw 3 curling bombs and those explodes on contact.... would that be OP? I feel it would. On the other hand, that is the only way those would be used on competitive. However, I wonder if a descent competitive weapon would be OP ruining for casual players. Anyways, good video SplatDroid. We got many interesting ideas from so many people.

    Honestly, my personal idea of a angle shooter buff would be to have it combine aspects of burst, point sensor, and toxic mist, kind of being a mix of the three, just weaker effects. Give it piercing effects, and make it so that when someone comes into contact with the line, they take damage build up like killer wail, just slower. and, when in contact, they could get a slightly weaker disruptor effect for 3-5 seconds. It already does decently at combining the burst and sensor abilities, so just adding the piercing and toxic mist/disruptor effects would do wonders for that sub I think.

    How about point sensor "marking" an enemy and when located they take 10% extra damage from all sources which will break damage thresholds. Think "marked for death" from tf2 but in the form of a splatoon sub weapon. Mabey make the radius smaller or the cost higher to compensate

    This is very random but for some reason whenever I equip a weapon with the sub curling bomb- I kill HARD- LIKE HARD- I’ve gotten 26 kill on A TURF WAR- AND 21 OF THEM WERE FROM CURLING BOMBS- HELP!!😭😭😭

    Idk personally I don't like the idea of toxic mist sticking to you/applying disruptor, it sounds infuriating to play against. I'd rather its ink-eating effect be strengthened and maybe disable health recovery while standing inside, to make its area denial a more serious threat and a bigger risk if you choose to brave it.

    Most of these "buffs" are game breaking lol. Why is there such a focus on offensive damage to utility subs? -A toxic mist buff could include draining the opponents special weapon gauge and restricting the new movement options (no squid roll or surge). Disruptor belongs on the scrapheap of splatoon history. Grossly op. - Throwing ink mines would be op, maybe a generous damage buff from direct hits could be healthy for the sub - The decay function added to sprinklers was a healthy addition. The sub just needs a generous durability buff as I agree that they lose functionality too quickly. - "quintupling" the range of angle shooter would give it functionally unlimited range and would be obnoxious to play against. I'm not against the idea of the trip wire doing some damage though (maybe no more than 20%) All the other utility specials are fine in my opinion. Utility subs add a level of depth and diversity to weapon kits that bomb kits don't. I'm looking forward to the update.

    0:30 Terrible buff. This was the main reason disrupter was reworked into mist. It is not fun to play against at all and is too restrictive.
