I love the way the Himalayan is parked ... it makes it look like the barbeque is mounted on the front end of the bike :)

I love soft bags .. Really nice if you are slow speed technical riding and the bike falls over. Saves many hours of paint touch ups 😁

Love your candid approach mark👍🏼. Respect for the lack of bs in all your vids. Thank you 🙏🏼. I’m Currently setting up my own sleet himmy for long term exploring with soft bags, Jerry’s and home made racks,I’m also attempting a 8lt fridge and solar panel 🤷🏽‍♂️😂 with a parachute for a tent🤪. Whatever helps us explore and adventure. 🎣 Hats off to Essendon motorcycles. They Recently did the roadworthy and worked on my bike, I’m very happy! Happy travels y’all.

Givi makes some great stuff! Just for fun, in Italian a G followed by a vowel is a "sweet g sound", like "Gee"! (Givi stands for the name of the founder, the pilot Giuseppe Visenzi).

Great review of the Geevi (yes I have Italian heritage) system - just stumbled across this system and your vid is the BEST of any out there. I have heaps of dry bags that I have strapped on in various ways over the years, these might be the answer. Cheers.

Mark, I like the bag concept of a bright internal colour and the pressure relief valve (very helpful). It's amazing how many options are available now compared with a few years ago. The Givi look good quality bags. Cheers! 👍😁

The best part is, you can load up a himi with everything you want and it doesn't change it's acceleration! Missus + luggage and still putters along at the same pace 🙃!

I had been looking for new bags for my 790r and ended up with these after a comment about them on your podcast. I’d looked at lots of options but not seen the Givi setup, these are a great option for soft bags, also the base can be used for smaller dry bags for alternate packing options. Cheers

Mosko is HEAVY for rackless luggage - This and Kriega OS are way lighter. Also, if you look at the way the bags hang, the weight is pushed lower and further forward then any of the systems you mention - way better for mass centralisation.

How do you find riding off road with a top bag on the rear rack? Could get tricky on a steep downhill in the bush. But to be fair, if a miracle happened and i won this bad boy; I'd probably aim for some longer trips around AUS that were less extreme near the coasts first up 🤟

Not liking the messing about to remove the tank bag at all....does the tank harness not stay on the bike at all ? the Givi GRT715 has the facility to leave the harness on the bike. Never owned a tank bag yet that the base harness does not remain on the bike if you wish to. What a faff that is to remove the straps at a camp.

@@BikerBits I don't have a 'dog in the fight' here, so my opinion is my own and most probably spot-on accurate. You, on the other hand - have sold your unbiased opinion to a sponsor. _Cash for comment,_ I believe they call it. Ultimately, it's none of my business. I do however believe that if that's the path you want to pursue, you should aim a bit higher with an alignment or association with a brand. The Himalayan especially, is not a motorcycle style-type that is at the core of what *Biker Bits* is known for. Its design and material composition are less engineered than most of the twin-shock trail bikes dating back to the 1970s and earlier. Surely... a higher end brand sold in Australia (Suzuki??) is chomping at the bit to get airplay exposure with a local content creator.

@@BikerBits I'm not trying to be critical or appear naïve; quite the contrary. I think you are the hardest working content creator in Australia, as far as motorcycle related things go. It's obvious that your whole life is embedded into it and you give it your all. For that massive amount of work and commitment, I think your subs should be 10 times what they are. What I'm suggesting (or maybe questioning), is something is not allowing you to get traction - something is retarding progression. What I don't believe will help that, is aligning your brand with the likes of Royal Enfield. It's a very small market share name, with quirky products that sit a bit left of centre. I think any opportunity to present more mainstream brands would be more beneficial, both financially and for audience attraction - whether that be Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, KTM, BMW... the ones that wear big-boy pants. I know you are flat out working *in* your KZread channel, but maybe need to take time to work *on* it. Once again, I'm not trying to be critical. After more than 10 years of doing this, you deserve more.
