Bought it this week,absolutely gorgeous, I feel like a new person with this fragrance on, and I have a feeling it will be even better in autumn

I’m actually buying this today. I tried it two days ago. I could smell my wrists without raising them to my face. The scent stayed on all day/ evening, easily detectable and on my sweater sleeves to the day after.

Awsome channel max I was wondering since u have most of amouage bottles can u do a big amouage perfumes for men review and rate them ?it would be really awsome

At first I felt like it was too close to the EDP… But after more use… I really have started to pickup on the nuances that make this the best overall fragrance in the line. The nutty boozy accords.. the way they meld with the Iris.. fantastic. Performance isn’t quite as good as the EDP.. but it’s not bad on my skin at all.. So glad I picked it up..

I agree, the boozy/nutty/iris trifecta is absolutely greatly done!

This fragrance is brilliant, Givenchy Gentleman line more so for me the Boise and this one, its better than alot of Niche fragrances, its no offensive smells great doesn't offend people and this is a 35yr old plus fragrance. I wear casual clothes but tidy and clean cut , but Im just loving the Iris note , definitely more an Autumn/ Winter fragrance. The edp was like an iris bomb went off on me, but im actually looking at getting the edp. I have Dior Homme Intense and they are 2 totally different fragrances.

First one, sir! Great one this new flanker!

Just love this scent. It's very special with that nutty whisky opening and provides a smooth woody drydown while the iris is not too sweet or powdery. Excellent stuff! A shame that it rather fits for the colder months and spring is already showing up now... 😎

This one is HOT on all the reviews. You know it's worth buying by the thumbnails alone. I just have, and I hear I'm not the only one, a performance issue.

Funny you say it sits right in between Dior Homme and Dior Homme Intense, that's exactly how I described it too. Longevity lacks a bit though, compared to those fragrances. But it's very very good.

Hi, I'm Belgian so I don't understand all the French but I thought I understood in the video that you recommend the Givenchy Reseve privee in winter and that you can spray on clothes but in other seasons like summer, autumn and spring spray 2 or 3x on the skin and that this perfume is preferable to be used in the evening but I who do not go out often in the evening do you recommend wearing it during the day? I liked your video and your opinion and description of this perfume for what I understood English Thank you

Dark color look good on you…. It match when you hold up the bottle.

Had the original Gentleman years ago..Not tried this 1 yet but will check it out. Retails about the same here in the UK..£66 so similar to the U.S.A. Great video as always Max.. keep it going.

Agreed that the 'booziness' is not as pronounced as expected, and even though similar to DHI still worth an own. Performance could be better. Great review, sir. My top pick for 2022 thus far is Bois d'Ambre from Karl Lagerfeld.

performance for me is about 1hr of projection and then a skin scent ... which is such a disappointment for me.

I get about 2&1/2 to 3 hours of moderate projection & then 3 hours following it becomes about 3 inches from the skin. I hear some people get performance issues and plenty of people who don't. I personally do NOT get a performance issue for it being a Givenchy edp. I can see why people would complain about that being a cold weather fragrance, but people who I have general conversations with typically ALWAYS smell it on Me when I don't smell it on Myself within the first 3-4 hours after spraying. It's also such a masterpiece of a scent that if it did project like V&R spicebomb or Mancera cedrat Boise intense than I might not wear anything else but gentlemen reserve privee. It's almost perfect.

Good release but I prefer Gentleman Boise by Givenchy! Thanks🙏

@@theperfumemechanic8098 Not Imo. Neither. They both perform the same essentially In My opinion though, Reserve Privee is a few levels about Boise to Me 100%. I absolutely love boise, but it essentially IS boise, BUT with a nutty, chocolate-ish, mildly boozy addition.

It's gonna be my fall Winter signature fragrance. 38yo, retired

How careful you open the box are you gonna return it after using?

Both Boise and this one's are spectacular but goddamn they fade away fast...

Both brilliant...dior leans a bit unisex....givenchy more masculine

Agree! how do you give a 10 and then knock 2 points off because it doesn’t have honey in it 🙄

Love it but performance is not as good as the other in the line.

Just came back from the mall on Black Friday to pick this up. However I really did not like it, the sales guy behind the counter was not a fan of it either. I had smelled and tried the Gentleman Boisee before and almost bought it but wanted to check this one out before pulling the trigger. The whiskey note was very strong in its opening and when I tried the Boisee again I was like there was no comparison after trying out all the flankers. I asked the sales guy, before telling him which one i wanted, what he liked and he went straight to the Boisee. No clue to why you guys like the Reserve Privee.

It's kind of irrelevant why we all like it. You don't, so don't wear a it. We do, so well WILL wear it. It's absolutely fine not to like something, but to be confused as to why everyone else isn't like you is weird, immature & overall kind of odd.

It’s a pass for me on this one,have tried it twice in a perfume shop and the performance is absolutely terrible on my skin..

Nothing groundbreaking in this Max, it's good. But it's nothing new

Addiction? Only for Iris Fanboys.
