Yeah it really packs a punch in terms of capacity. I’d consider it as a small bag rather than a mini. It’s super practical! You should definitely see if you can get it for a discount on some of the websites I mentioned and tick it off your wishlist 😉🥰

Haha it is a bit of a pain but because I’ve had mine for years, I’ve done the hard yards and it’s no longer painful 🤣 it’s such a great bag! Would highly recommend it in the mini or the small if you need to carry more things regularly ☺️

Great review of the classic G Antigona, I appreciate your honest review. I had a medium one in electric blue however I couldn't bond with the bag as it was too structured and as you also described in your cons list. There were too much discomfort, I sold it in the end 😀 thanks for sharing!

Givenchy and Ms. Audrey Hepburn - timeless classics 🌹 I’ve been eyeing this bag for a few years but not sure if I’d like the narrow opening. The leather also feels hard when I reach inside. I’m glad you’re enjoying yours 🌹

I have the Antigona mini in beige camel. I have the same thoughts about the opening and weight though 🙈 even then, I would still recommend it for its lovely silhouette and classic style. Thank you for sharing yours! The box leather of yours is gorgeous! 💕 the little sample leather square is what I use when I want to try a new leather conditioner or water proofing spray! I use it on the little square first and see if there would be an adverse reaction. If none, I apply it to the bag! 👍🏼

Beautiful bag indeed♥️ I have a mini Antigona in pale baby blue in sugar goat leather. I’ve had it for seven years and it’s now showing a few structure creases. The sugar goat leather is a bit delicate but it’s beautiful and sweet to the eyes😍 Will get a black one next. The new colors are gorgeous.

Thank you babe! 🥰 hmm that’s a tough one! They’re both very different style bags. I only purchased the PSM recently so I can’t really say. It depends on your personal style. I love how the Antigona is understated but I love how you can wear the PSM is so many different ways and it’s so cute! You can definitely fit a lot more in the Antigona though. I plan to do a comparison video between the two down the track, so keep an eye out on that ☺️

I love this bag! It used to be one of my favorites, but I just bought the wrong color/texture. I had a white grainy leather one and sold it because it was a pain to keep clean. I have my eye on box leathers now!

Ohh yes I can imagine that would show dirt quite easily! Yess! Definitely invest in the box leather 😄 it’s super easy to wipe down and keep clean, and you’d be surprised - it doesn’t scratch as easily as you’d think!

It’s a little bit too structure for my liking but I love it every time I see it is on other people lol. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on it. It’s very helpful!

Love them both, was super hard to choose, but I decided on goatskin because I have a small boy bag in smooth lambskin. The lambskin is not as shiny as box leather, but I wanted to have something different from the smooth boy so I went for the sugar Antigona. Thanks so much for sharing the content!

I have the small in smooth calfskin too. Love it except that the strap comes off once in a while when set it down on the table or my lap. Have to be careful we don't drop it. Love the structure and smooth texture xoxo

Omg I was tossing up between this and the celine nano too! I ultimately went with the antigona because I’ve heard the leather on the celine bags, even the nano, is really thick and heavy and weighs the bag down a lot. Not to mention the price tag! It was almost double in price 🙊 but I think you could find them for similar prices on the preloved market. It’s ultimately up to you and your preference/style! I’m really happy with the antigona ☺️

Loved the video, I have the Givenchy Antigona in size Small 😊. But your SA is funny because the name Box leather actually came from Joseph Box, a shoemaker from 1890; since it's tanned a very special way, the term is in general used for leathers which are tanned this way, meaning, it is used to refer to a certain kind of treated leather (I hope my explanation is understandable). Btw, I have the same problem with the shoulder strap 😕.

I’ve heard the small gets extremely heavy and cumbersome to carry because it’s so much bigger and bulkier. The mini also fits heaps as you saw! You’ll have to let me know if you get one 😜

You should get it in the mini size if you don't carry a lot of things with you. I bought the small in Moc croc, because I already had the bag in the mini size in a orange color. I kind of regret it because the bag is super heavy so I carry the same amount item that I would with the mini or other small bag. I do love the bag so much, I been thinking of selling it but because it's not a super popular bag anymore. You do lose a lot of value for it. I wish I would go with the mini as it's more versatile. ❤️🤗

Considering getting this bag for Christmas this year. I do hate that clasp on the strap--the only reason for it I can think of is to keep you from using the strap with any other bags, which is such a 'screw you' to customers, and I hear it even makes the strap prone to detaching and the bag falling to the ground and getting damaged. But I do think the style of the bag is really cute. The leather sample patch is useful if you want to test out a leather cleaner or conditioner, if you want to make sure it won't damage the finish on the leather.

Box leather is high quality calf leather that is chrome-tanned with an aniline finish, which gives the leather a distinguishing shine. It's named after Joseph Box, the late-19th century English shoe craftsman. It's often used on high quality men's shoes and Hermes has traditionally used it on some of their bags. Has nothing to do with boxing gloves or punching bags. (smile...)

Trendy glossy black leather handbag

I've had this bag since 2019 but have only carried it 2-3x because I noticed some pretty noticeable "dents" on the sides. No idea where the dents came from as I'm super careful with it.. After watching you move it around, wondering if they're from the spiky hardware on the straps? The location of dents is sooo coincidental😢

Aw no, it sounds like it may be from the spikes on the strap 😰 do you store the bag with the strap on? It may have been resting against the bag in storage and left those dents. I always take the strap off and keep it curled inside the bag so there’s no way for it to mark up the outside of the bag.

is there a way i can make the strap stay because i’ll literally be walking with it and it just falls off

The opening does loosen up over time as you’re constantly stretching it and reaching to get things. The zippers also don’t feel as harsh over time too 😊

Unfortunately it does happen quite frequently so I always have to be conscious of it when I go to pick it up. One of the downfalls of the bag, but definitely doesn’t stop me from using it! Ohh I’ve never heard of the paper clip idea! You’ll have to let me know if you get one and if it works! I’m curious haha

@@Serena_alwg02 if you’re holding the bag by the top handle and the straps are hanging, it can detach, it’s happened to me before. But if you’re wearing it as a crossbody/shoulder bag it won’t happen just because of the way the links sit when you’re using the strap - the gaps of the links won’t meet (if that makes sense).

Do they do the normal leathers with gold hardware? 😱 I’ve only seen (very recently) Antigonas in the moc croc leather with the gold hardware.

The narrow opening and tight zipper is the #1 reason I have not ever purchased this bag. :( I just feel like it scratches my engagement ring / diamond or my rings - gold on metal. Such a shame because I love the shape and aesthetic so much. But everytime I think about that I hesitate.

That’s true! I admit I’m still cautious when I’m reaching in and have my rings on! Buts the opening has definitely loosened over time and the zippers aren’t as bad as they once were ☺️

I was cussing while trying to adjust the straps. It still gives me nightmares. My boyfriend is quite amazed by the things I could fit inside the “mini” bag

Great question! Surprisingly it doesn’t! That was one of my concerns because the leather is so smooth and shiny but I’ve used mine for years, taken it overseas as my travel bag and there’s not a scratch in sight ☺️

Box leather, or box calfskin, is actually the leather (skin) of newborn calf that are still kept in boxes, as they don’t get their own stable yet and are too young to be kept with more grown calf. If I’m not mistaken, that’s the first 2-3 weeks after they are born. So, nothing to do with boxing gloves whatsoever (has the SA ever seen boxing gloves?! 😂). I wonder if the SA actually knew the answer and was afraid of traumatizing you 🤔 Or not making the sale...

Hmmm... PurseBop, Maison de Luxe, and a few other sources I have seen say it's named after the Joseph Box shoe company (19th century London shoemakers). I'm willing to bet there are a bunch of stories out there about where the name came from.
