I love how you are so chill and realistic about hair breakage. Sometimes hairstylists try to be so dramatic about it lol. At the end of the day, it’s just hair. It will grow back, and things just happen sometimes. ♥️

Just wanted to clarify. The diagnostic criteria for trichotillomania involves pulling the entire strand out; they would present with bald spots and hair loss from picking, not just breakage. Some people pick at splits in addition to pulling, but picking at split ends alone is not enough to meet the criteria.

Exactly. I once had a hairstylist laugh at how my hair was breaking at the back. I had been going through some emotional trauma and that was how it manifested. She then walked over to the barber and started bad mouthing me whilst I was still sitting in her chair, all because my hair was damaged. Needless to say I never went back.

You are absolutely right. I had about 4 breakage points, which I suspected were from strong antibiotics/pain meds and stress during a 45-day hospital stint. I initially tried trimming my hair and hoping the breakage would catch up or vice versa. My hair simply stayed brittle and thin. Flash forward, God has done His thing. I cut all my hair off and my hair is growing in so thick, full, and healthy. This is definitely a process that each individual must make for him or her self. It’s not always easy to simply chop your hair off. I hope this beautiful lady knows her crown will return to her desired state. I know she is in good hands. 🙏🏾❤️

I suffer hair loss from time to time which i think is stress-induced and my stylist blends all the short pieces and helps me stay on track caring for my hair. Some people and some stylists will want to cut everything off in a big chop but you and my stylist show that is unnecessary when you have a set back. Life happens and we just have to take care and keep on keeping on.

Loved this video. You are such a gifted stylist and so knowledgeable about healthy hair. Can you do a video on the difference between titanium and ceramic flat irons? Or maybe the pros and cons of each. I have both but always wondering which is best for my hair. Pls and thx!
