Not incompetence, don't be that generous - more so greedy entitled scumbags who pretend to be incompetent so they never get held to account for their actions. For this reason and considering the current situation generally speaking for everyone - the next 10 years to say the least will be interesting as it could go in a number of ways but considering the sheer greed from the wealthy of this country I can eventually see people having enough and simply taking what they feel they are owed in the next 3-5 years as the politicians have had decades to sort core issues but have neglected this country to line their own pockets since roughly the 70s over and over again and when people working full time can't afford a home or to feed themselves - there will be a breaking point. They can't even protect people from Pro Palestinian Protests - how do the politicians feel they will fair when it's a large portion of the country... And since they've also abused the police for decades I doubt many will be showing up to work to risk their own skin for the skin of people who have thrown them under the bus again and again.

If we are being honest the whole government needs investigating top to bottom, also local councils who seem to pay for things to just go away, probably a small percentage of ministers who are purely in the job for the right reasons and not for personal gain , it's quite depressing really how corrupt this country's leaders are and we all have to suffer the consequences.

One thing is certain, if you'll happily lie about one thing you'll lie about another. I think we also have to remember (though Mone seems to want to skim over this) that it's not simply an issue of whether it breached criminal law. There are also ethical, professional and moral standards that are expected. People can be fired from their jobs without breaking criminal law. From what I can see, she misled the public then went on to have her representatives threaten legal action should the media challenge her lies. That's not just someone 'protecting their family'. This appears someone who has developed such a sense of entitlement that she feels she can do just about anything and cover it up with force. And then there is the 'documentary' which turns out was funded by Mone and her mob. More smoke and mirrors from the Mone camp. Now whether she is guilty within criminal law I don't know but ethically, she is not fit for the upper chamber. We need to start holding people who are elevated to great privilege, to a standard of ethical conduct. She falls short by a very very long way.

It’s no wonder so many people intend to vote for REFORM UK. They are the only party to offer Common Sense but also have a serious and sensible strategy to overcome all the major issues now facing our once great country (many of which have been created by the 2 major, traditional traditional parties over the last few decades).

30% isnt an outrageous amount of profit margin .................... many many companies out there that see that as the norm, car dealers for one, publicans for another, to name two, in fact if publicans are making less than 33% on their wet sales, HMRC will investigate them. How do we know the profit was only £60m, the ppe was manufactured in China, they would have made this for much less than £140m? Also, any company working in the medical supply chain knows the gowns would need to be double bagged. They can’t open single bags covered in dust in a contamination free environment. They had zero experience on how to package the gowns.

You only criticise the Labour Party here for demanding more PPE! At the time, there were UK manufacturers supplying Germany and America saying at the time that they would prioritise the NHS if they got the order from the Government (there is a documentary about it) Instead, Dominic Raab stood in parliament saying the reason for the delay was that they were doing due diligence. In actual fact they were setting up a VIP lane for themselves, their friends and donors (although Boris and Sunak both amazing have ‘lost’ their WhatsApp messages for the time in question) no criticism here if the Tory’s though. What Baroness Mone did was despicable profiteering from a national emergency. But she’s right when she says she’s not the only one who did it and right saying Sunak et al knew about it. The criminals here are the profiteers AND the Tory Government.

the NHS should be quite capable of ordering any stock it’s needs to function. Buying in bulk should benefit in getting a discount. Why on earth was a Private Secret VIP lane created to allow Con artists and amateurs to profit from a process that would have been more efficient if left to the NHS?
