The albums with Rozz and Rikk in it are all fenomenal albums, I love Shadow Project and Daucus Karota too, everything Rozz did really. Love his artwork too, I'm regularly dipping in this book about Rozz, he was a very inspiring guy! A whole way of life, and always being creative in many different directions, a guy like that can keep you going, doing great stuff. Gitane and Rikk, peace to you both! PS: I love to smoke weed too, it keeps me going since a 1000 yrs. Wouldn't wanna live without it! :) from NL

Agnew has a stratospheric sound and tone that really set a standard for the "death-rock" sound, guitar-wise I think. Octaves and a reverb set on 11 is all you need after all. Amazing and unusual for the time. I first heard about them in about 1986 hanging out with a couple of death-rock chicks in my HS parking lot and our morning "smoking club". Cigarettes. Not weed.

I was just saying that, at 46, it makes me feel old to see them now when I saw them when they were young and it's amazing how age creeps up on you. So let's all sit around and dis Valor's vision, in defense of someone who abandoned everyone at the circle of a noose? bad mouth, slander and bad mouth more ... meanwhile, you guys did barely anything in decades after? ... there was no need to attack someone else, it just makes you look worse than you already do ... contribute to make it more amazing or shut up maybe?

@@arewethereyet5675 Valor did more than Rozz did , just put the bodies of work next to each other and compare, Valor needs fuck all from Rozz, who ran away from the band and name. You're the one who should check history ... stupid fuck. Rozz abandoned christian death while Valor, Gitane, David and the rest were in the middle of a tour in Europe, he just left them out to dry. He mentioned he left the band in interviews right here on youtube, straight from his own mouth, admits it, It was widely known that Rozz ran out of money and had a breakdown and called his mother to pay for a ticket, left them all in europe and went back home. Naturally those left in the band were not interested in having their futures as artists ruined because of a mentally unstable heroine addict who couldn't handle even making/performing music half the time, let alone life itself as it played out with his suicide in the end. So they continued with the tour in europe and the band released a greater body of work than Rozz did in the 30+ years of the bands history and yet we have these whiney little fanboys/girls crying that Rozz is Christian Death, what a joke, Rozz may have had a part in the beginning though when you look at substance, Valor has fleshed out Christian death in every way, he covered a far broader range of concepts than Rozz did in his short time ... Rozz grew to dislike Valor because of the fact that Valor took over Christian Death when Rozz abandoned the entire band mid-tour, the guy couldn't care less about the other people in the band, the money they all saved to go on tour, the money Valor saved to produce the 2 albums, or the fans for that matter. Valor picked up the pieces and made something better out of it, while Rozz went off and hung himself ... What I also find interesting is if you check the album credits for Ashes and Catastrophe Ballet, Valor did alot more than Rozz did, he produced the album and wrote music in almost all songs with Rozz doing Vocals, so you can't claim that Rozz is Christian Death, Valor was clearly more into it and still shows more dedication over the decades, Rozz didn't even care enough to Trademark the name(total abandonment), which is why he only ever released songs under the actual legal name "Christian Death featuring Rozz Williams" after realizing he fucked up and trying to get the name back, the courts ruled in Valor's favor as the individual who literally embodied Christian Death in all aspects, Rozz can't drop out mid-tour and say he wants nothing to do with it, then come in after greater success and slander, bitch and whine. The only people who are dumb enough to think he was the all of the band are a bunch of dirty goth drugheads who couldn't tell you what day of the week it was in those days, let alone understand a sequence of events, and who masturbate to the sound of a whimpering transvestite on a microphone ... there's your fucking homework, emo twat!

It's about quality over quantity. Only Theatre of Pain trumps everything Valor did combined. He made very few listenable records imo. He was such a corny try hard. I'll give him props for his work ethic but not for artistic vision. But if you dig him and his music brings you joy great! This is only my opinion not definitive truth.

@ A classically trained musician made records like The Scriptures and All the Love All the Hate? That's just sad. I've owned almost every Cristian Death record over the years. I grew out of the darksider shit long ago. I sold all those albums except Only Theater of Pain because that record transcends the genre. It's really something other. I see your Transphobic too. That's endearing. I'm convinced you are Valor. Who else would ramble and dick ride that hard over Valor's "legacy".
