Biography:
Gisele Caroline Bündchen (born 20 July 1980) is a Brazilian fashion model. Since 2001, she has been one of the highest-paid models in the world. In 2007, Bündchen was the 16th richest woman in the entertainment industry and earned the top spot on Forbes top-earning models list in 2012. In 2014, she was listed as the 89th Most Powerful Woman in the World by Forbes.
Vogue credited Bündchen with ending the heroin chic era of modelling in 1999. Bündchen was a Victoria's Secret Angel from 1999 until 2006. She is credited with pioneering and popularizing the horse walk, a stomping movement created by a model lifting her knees high and kicking her feet to step. In 2007, Claudia Schiffer called Bündchen the only remaining supermodel. Bündchen has appeared on more than 1,200 magazine covers.
Bündchen was nominated for Choice Movie Female Breakout Star and for Choice Movie Villain at the 2005 Teen Choice Awards for her supporting role in Taxi (2004). She had a supporting role in The Devil Wears Prada (2006) and was the executive producer of an educational environmental cartoon, Gisele & the Green Team, in 2010 to 2011. In 2016, she appeared in the Emmy award-winning documentary series Years of Living Dangerously, in the episode "Fueling the Fire". Bündchen's charitable endeavors include Save the Children, Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders. She has been a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Program since 2009.

Truely the LAST supermodel we got. Maybe one day there will be another woman as captivating and magnetic as Gisele was on the runway. To this day there is nothing in fashion at all that is like Gisele.

@@semerahpadi4484nd Gisele deserves credit! This “last supermodel” title isn’t given to Gisele by fans. The industry gave it to her. Naomi Campbell,Claudia Schiffer,Anna Wintour and numerous Vogues called her that. In what they meant was that she was the last one as big as the 90s models. After the 90s models era,they had a moment where the supermdoel “died”. It was heroin chic (anti supermdoel) and celebs began taking over ALL magazine covers and beauty contracts etc. When Gisele stepped onto the scene she blew up and she was the first model again who was as omnipresent as Cindy,Linda and Naomi. It’s all context. She was the first model again on every magazine cover,winning gigantic modeling contracts,on big American talk shows,on every runway,Forbes highest paid models list etc. I think it’s rude to think her fans just gave her this title. The industry did and she earned it. Natalia V is a modeling icon but outside of fashion blogs no one hardly knows who she is. I’ve never seen Natalia on Jimmy Fallon,Jay Leno etc. Gisele was the first model again to walk one day for haute couture and the next day be invited on David Letterman. This is what people mean by The Last Supermodel. Who else after the supermodel era dominated every aspect of modeling,fashion and pop culture like Gisele did?!?! The Victorias Secret models of the 2000s got fame but they were never muses in high fashion like Gisele was and still is. She’s currently on vogue italia,vanity fair covers and has 2 Louis Vuitton fashion ads just in the beginning of 2023. People constantly underestimate Gisele’s career I swear.

She’s in a category of her own. Not even the height of models during the 80s and early 90s can’t compare to just her.

My favorite hair moments: 1. 4:00 Alexander McQueen SS99. I love how voluminous yet sleek her hair was in this show. Long hair with a middlepart *chefs kiss* hard to go wrong there. 2. 9:40 VS 2005. Second fav! I love longer hair on her...what i like about this look was the color, style, and how it's thick but tapers and gets thinner at the ends. I personally think it's the best VS hair moment she has ever had. 3. 4:32 D&G SS03. Though this is shorter the layered cut, lived-in color, and volume just makes the looks she had in this show effortless and sexy--especially the black dress...perfection. 4. 7:33 Christian Dior FW07 Couture. Now this entire look is one of my favorite couture looks she has ever worn. I loved her hair here polished curls and brighter/ warmer bronde goes really well with her.

Gisele please comeback to runways. Now anyone and their mothers are allowed to walk catwalks. You used to only get cast for runway shows when you had an amazing and powerful walk. (For the most part). Modeling today is so lame. The last great era was early 2000s. Runway walks,photography and modeling talent were far superior.
