Based on my experiences I do not think that college is a scam. You go to college to get a degree so you can be able to make more money. I see it all the time, people with college degrees usually get the best positions and make more money. How is it a scam then?

@@cecarblanco9933 Yes if you are actually getting a degree in something useful, Dr. Nurse, Lawyer, Engineer, etc....But the garbage so many are getting a degree in does not do anything to help...Use to it did, use to it at least told employers someone was willing to stick with something and do the work for at least 4 years to "finish something"....NOW, many employers pretty much look at the "college" where the applicant graduated and depending on how liberal it is, just go to the next person. If that degree is not directly necessary for that position, most companies will train the employee how "They" want something done anyway...on the job training. Companies have no desire to hire someone who will likely find something to sue you for. Now you have to purchase (not cheap) EPLI insurance (Employment practices liability insurance) based on every single person we employ because people will sue you over ANYTHING (I am not saying all college graduates will do that, nor am I saying they are the only ones doing it, but it has become so prevalent EPLI insurance is required). Companies no longer have the luxury to deal with that kind of "employee".

Absolutely. Even nursing schools used to be run by the hospitals. Unfortunately they are do not have them anymore. I have been a nurse forever. The nurses who were trained in the hospitals were incredible. Yes, you do need some basis, but a lot of the crap they teach you in nursing school, you will never need to know.

I saved for my kids college education. I raised them conservative. They decided to go to trade schools instead. I paid for them to go. They now are 23 and 25 with great jobs, no college debt and are very happy. As a parent I'm happy to say that they will do better than I did, and I did well. Best part for me was windfall retirement money that we weren't counting on. If you don't have to go to college don't. My kids would run rings around these college kids. My kids would spot his condescension and immediately know how to make them look like fools. They've taken out people a lot smarter than this kid. Yeah, I'm a proud dad.

She is the perfect example of what my grandmother stated. "College makes damned fools of some people." Grandma was born in the 1800s and never cussed. I was around 9 years old when she said it. It made such an impression that I remember it almost 70 years later.

My liberal step daughter reminds me of this girl. She thinks she the smartest person around and her father and I are complete morons. It's painful and exhausting. All she's looking for is someone to support her as she becomes a full-time college student for the rest of her life! She is not lurking to have a career or to support herself or to even wipe her own ass! If we should fund any kind of education it should be trade schools, where someone would actually learn something that they could support themselves with and not be looking for a government dime handout!

My property taxes are full of community college bonds. That smart ass kid doesnt own property. His pay check taxes don't go to schools. Lol They ate still babies. Brains stop growing at 25. They should not vote. Save us lord

Education comes when you are out of school. Life is an amazing teacher.

I think a college education should stick to subjects that benefit employment, starting a business, enriching skills and knowledge. Unfortunately the girl feels like college should be a place to meet for a diversity experience. The problem is she is not alone in that mentality in these colleges.

College to her is being taught liberalism. I don’t believe college should be political. It’s suppose to prepare you for a career, not to be a blithering idiot. Learning is great as long as you’re open to hearing the entire lesson. Else wise it means nothing and not necessary then.

Oh my goodness! This is an example of our higher education?🥴 We're doomed! Get your children out of public schools and definitely try to guide them away from universities!

What she said was complete babble. College is a complete waste of time if she is what it's producing.

I'm 65 and just retired. Went to a trade school and learned a job skill. I was steadily employed ever since I was 21.

I'm 64 started at a University, was told by my mother I had to go to school to get a job... dropped out of University started in a community college for nursing....then worked and went back to University while working. She's not voicing her plan of giving back, only taking for 'free tuition' for her on other people's backs.
