Thanks for sharing your video with me Laura. I could be wrong but my guess is you saw them and parked because you intended to record them? Maybe they thought you parked because you were scare? Regardless how it began they totally under estimated you. "Then why don't you do that." "Is this necessary?" "Your name." You handled this as well as anybody has ever handled anything with the police. Insulting shouting or profanity as you know is not the way to go though sometimes it has its place. When you asked the male cop his name he completely stumbled. He is probably lucky he had back up at that time. When the last lady showed up the other was like 22...Laurashark over. Not that its a wonderful thing to verbally beat up or pick on people but that is exactly what they intended to do to you. Not sure if you have had their hands all over you and in your pockets purse trunk or if you have had any tickets with your recording yet but I think you haven't. That might be a record considering all the videos you have made. I am not sure if you have it easier in that department being a girl because man I got a lot of tickets when I started. And pulled over a lot leaving scenes. Anyway you already know why I responded to your comment. Not that you need to hear it again from me but hell of a job. Blocks wife ran the commissary and bleach inmates money for overpriced food and sanitary items. I remember when blocked ran for reelection I fell in the shower cracked his skull open and died great day in Los Angeles history are they still ran him for reelection that's how corrupt it was. Deputy's murdered inmates and got away with it for years filthy squalid conditions of the county jail would make a Hanoi Hilton look like a luxury hotel. It took years for the FBI to crack the corruption in LA County Jail system even the sheriff deputies even went so far as to hide a FBI informant and keep him away from the FBI it's beyond imagination why that whole Sheriff's Department hasn't been disbanded.

Wrong emergency vehicles with proper making, maintained and operated by city, county, state or federal governments or contracted by such governments to perform a service may park anywhere necessary in order to preform service. Lights are not a requirement in order for a vehicle to be labeled as an emergency vehicle.

I guess you could say "authoriholics". Their addiction to control and intimidate is so overpowering that even when they can clearly see that nobody likes or has any respect for them whatsoever, they are still not able to get a grip on themselves. I believe they have one of the highest divorce rates of any profession. That speaks volumes about how powerful the disease is.

The reason why the officer made a point of telling her it's a high crime area has to do with why they were talking with her about it and the level of response her u-turn and bad parking job was getting. The male officer probably called her in when the lady was giving him a false story. First saying that you didn't make the U-turn and then saying you changed your mine about which direction to go is giving a false story. If there is drug sales, gang activity, or prostitution happening frequently in a neighborhood a strong police presence is needed.

Damn. Not only was this woman standing her ground and well-informed of her rights, but she was also very polite and not the least bit aggressive. She should be the poster woman of how to handle the police when you know you've done nothing wrong.

True story. Just finished work at a restaurant I had the cleaning contract to back on Saturday May 2013, 4:30 in the morning, and not owning a car or having a drivers license I walked basically everywhere. This particular night a cop (Gary) with whom I had a previous run in with two months prior to this situation decided to hassle me for I.D., to which last time I refused so I refused again. I was done work and decided to do some grocery shopping at the 24 hour Sobeys which is conveniently on my way home. All I did was cross the street and through the Sobeys parking lot to get to the store. Out of nowhere this cop speeds through the Sobeys parking lot and cuts me off from walking. Son of a bitch almost ran me over. The cop whips open his door and tells me to stay where I am. No prob. Cop proceeded to ask me about a black half ton that he had a complaint about speeding up and down the road and general area. I asked what does that have to do with me? He explained that there was a black half ton in the parking lot where I just came from (my workplace parking lot) and was the truck mine. I told him no and he requested to see my I.D. to which I replied, "no". He requested again and I said, no again. He insisted that I need to show I.D. because he suspected me of driving the truck that was parked in my workplace parking lot. Once again I refused and inquired at what time does he believe I was driving the truck. Having set the alarm to the business I worked and had left just 3 minutes ago, I was curious. Soooo I needed an answer and I asked again. Cop coincidently said that he observed me leaving that truck and crossing over to where I now am just minutes ago. Told cop that was an interesting fact considering the owner of the truck (a regular customer) left the keys to his truck with me to put in the office because he had too much to drink and took a cab home five and a half hours ago. Cop asked me what time was this. I explained to him that the restaurant closed at 11:00 last night and asked him to do the math. Well he lost his patience with me because of that remark, and threatened to arrest me for failure to comply. I told him that I am familiar with law and read him the riot act about no victim, no crime. He decides to call for back up. Meanwhile as we waited I told him that I would I.D. myself if he drives over to the truck, feels the hood, and if he finds it hot. Dumbass does exactly that. He asked me to get in the cop car and drive with him to check out the truck. My reply was, "not in your wildest dreams". He accepted this and then told me to stay where I was because his backup was on the way. I told him "sure thing, what do I have to run from?" Dumbass drives across the street and I finished my walk into Sobeys and shopped for about ten minutes. Basically only customer in store so shopping was quick, the way I like it. In/Out period. While shopping I noticed there were two cop cars driving back and forth in front and on the side of Sobeys. Having finished my shopping, as usual I called a cab to go home. While waiting outside for the cab the same cop approached me and again asked for my I.D. Jackass must have thought I would cave in....not. Even with his backup present I still refused to co-operate. His backup told me the same thing as the first cop, to which I inquired what crime have I commited? At this time my cab showed up and I put my groceries in the trunk. I was told by the first cop I can't leave due to his investigating a complaint. I made eye contact and repeated his claim and asked if that was why I can't leave. Dumbass said, yes. Having called backup, I directed my attention to the backup and began to talk to the second officer. The first officer tried to interject but I put my firger to my mouth and said, SSSSSSHHH, after which I immediately began talking to the second cop. First cop just got his "spanking" and he was not happy. I went over the so called details with cop number two, then asked the first cop if the truck was hot or cold. He had no other choice but to say cold. I then accused him of fabrification and thanked him for providing me a witness to clear myself. The look on his face was priceless. He at that moment realized he had been played and looked like the idiot he was in front of his own colleague. I simply got into the cab and went on home. Cop (Gary) followed the cab to my home and parked two houses up the street. I called his shift supervisor who instructed him to leave which he did. Not the first or the last time, and only because I embarrased the entire Saint John N.B. department on "A.T.V. on your side with Laverne Stewart" news back in 1992. Was it worth all the harrassment...oh hell yes a hundred times over. EH?

Dude I was about to make the same comment but then looked up the law in CA for residential U Turns because I was curious if there were exceptions. Here's what I found: "No person in a residence district shall make a U-turn when any other vehicle is approaching from either direction within 200 feet, except at an intersection when the approaching vehicle is controlled by an official traffic control device. This law allows you to make a U-turn anywhere in a residential area, as long as there are no other cars approaching yours within 200 feet. However, this 200 feet rule does not apply at an intersection controlled by a stop light or stop sign". It does exist. But the cops are petty when they pull this shit and we don't even know if she did because there's not evidence.

its ALWAYS about jurisdiction first, regardless if they wanted her private info or to search her after the fact. they claim she made an illegal u turn and parked illegally right?? thats a commercial claim of policy violation. she gave up status and jurisdiction immediately by inter-coursing with them about her PARKING "JOB". she could've just remained silent and challenged jurisdiction by handing them a waiver of tort notice/contract, as well as noticing them of her SUPERIOR private status. if she has the car titled under anything other than a private foreign trust, thats her first mistake. hint-look into south dakota titling, or send notice asking if there is a claim against her car, and when no response the car is then out of the federal system. also she shouldve never done business with more than one policy officer. also if they are alleging a crime being committed, which all vehicle code policy violations are said to be, she couldve easily demanded a ticket be written, or, for them to stop harassing her, sign the ticket under duress no contract, demand verified complaint (in court, should it ever get there) against her the woman (not the STATE NAME) who was ticketed that night, sworn by the living injured victim who has first hand knowledge, they can NEVER produce it, only a signed complaint by an rep for the people in the DA office. dismiss case for lack of cause jurisdiction, the whole 9, and also the body cam of the cop would show the cop was noticed with the waiver of tort. print a bunch of these up and keep them on you www.dropbox.com/s/t6on5163rylgnu0/waiver%20or%20tort%20blank.jpg?dl=0

Your Daddy No doubt there's high crime there but the problem is there's high crime EVERYWHERE! Always been crime everywhere and always will be. And where there is no crime, the police commit crimes trying to criminalize a law abiding citizen who has done absolutely nothing WRONG! Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the police. Matter of factly, im all for Law and Order and I greatly have respect for police officers who are respectful towards their fellow citizens and who do understand one exercising their God given Rights to go about their business without being harassed and profiled by an officer just because the officer is trying to score browny points to prove themselves to their chief in the hopes of being promoted and getting z raise. I've been stopped on that excuse. However, in the UK, once you've been stopped for a 'valid' reason you can be breathalised. I was. *Green*. I was so close to home that I was in bed before they could change the mouthpiece on the breathaliser.

You shouldn't have even spoken to them. They were running an illegal road block anyway. Road blocks, check points and so on are illegal. I am very proud of you though. Every police officer should be required to study and complete a comprehensive course on the Constitution and not be certified without passing the test by at least 98%. If they're sworn to uphold our constitutional rights it ought to be a really big deal if they don't understand what they're sworn to or deliberately undermine our civil rights. The same especially goes for the top brass and administration that gives them their marching orders. This is AMERICA, dammit!

I Pick roads I'm less likely to see police officers on Nowadays you don't have to be doing anything wrong to experience the bully tactics of police officers. And you can't talk common sense to them. They don't care what we have to say. As they attempt to trample on our Miranda Rights. No one likes dick head cops. C.O.P criminals on patrol.

my ex was a female cop working her way to lieutenant before going to state job of training regular officers,and also is a regional crisis officer.so not all female cops are dumb.your a special kinda stupid

It's not that cops are all bad people but the authority given to them makes them prone to abuse. And if the department doesn't specifically have a leadership that discourages abuse it will happen 100% of the time.

The only reason they even make bullshit calls like that is that they are fishing for criminal behaviour they can write tickets/make arrests for. For the longest time cops had the freedom to do as they pleased and got used to most people just gave in without fighting because anytime something relatively shady went down it was always their word vs everyone else. In so many videos nowadays you see how angered many cops get when people don't inherently have some supreme submission to their authority.

I feel ya, but we stand around because of the pencil pushers and their politics make us impossible to be efficient and effective. They're more worried about not being at fault then they are about the job... officers of today seem to be more concerned about their safety then the safety of citizens which is why officers are regarded as courageous and brave anymore

And remember once a cop always a cop. I had misfortune dealing with one that was demoted for harassment of a female on her way to jail (he should’ve been fired) who was given a meter reader job. 😂 I saw him looking at plate on my car on his walk, he didn’t know I saw him. Shortly thereafter, I was pulled over by State Police in town, and my car was searched (probable cause was my insurance was expired for 2 weeks). He found nothing. I was arrested, and jailed for a day. Paid a $200.00 fine and was released. The sheriff was the one who drove me to get money from my account 😂 Now the meter reader is head of the Water Dept. and drinks and drives on job. I saw him get out of his truck and get a beer out of a cooler hidden in his tool box behind cab, crack it open and drink it right outside of neighbors in hood I live in now. He doesn’t know I saw it and I am reporting him. I will have the last laugh. 😂

I denied a cop free coffee once. He said well we patrol the lot to keep you safe. I said I don't care, I don't get free coffee and I work here. He got butt hurt and told the owner. I said well I don't give out free drinks to my friends I'm not giving em to cops. They never cut me a break. Buy your shit like everyone else.

This is how to talk to police. Keep your voice down, don't get excited, don't curse, don't give them any reason to pursue an alternative "investigation". This lady was perfect. Just wish she had asked an Officer to escort her to her friends house. You know, to see if they would "PROTECT AND SERVE". lol

Not parked on the sidewalk, therefore not blocking it. Parked on top of the curb , which is part of the parkway. In summary, their accusations are false. My decision is in favor of the defendant. Case dismissed. Sheriff deputies are hereby ordered to CVC refresher training.

They had nothing. They lied in regards to an alledged traffic infraction, trying to coax a statement from her. Best advise, never, ever say anything to a law enforcement officer, without an attorney present. "I DO NOT ANSWER QUESTIONS." is the best response. "Am I being detained?" If questions continue. If they don't stop, demand your rights under the Sixth amendment. This always confuses most officers.

Seriously, all this for a 'parking violation'?? Criminals running the streets.. what a waste of taxpayers' $!

Mhks68. Nope, that's wrong. Uturns in a residential area are LEGAL as long as no vehicle is approaching within 200 feet. I was pulled over in the Valley for an illegal uturn, and when i told him it's not illegal in a residential area, the cop looked around and realized, yes we were in a residential area, he agreed and let me go.

Cops are currently investigating a crime, a car pulls up, see's cop cars, and uturns and leaves. Thats automaticaly somewhat suspicious. Then she parks illegally. Cops are either thinking she has something to hide or she has an IQ that starts with a decimal point
