hausbae so true and Monique does it in the most humblest way she’s not raising her voice she’s just speaking facts on what she experienced. Noticed not one of the three(Oprah,Tyler Or lee) came out and said were going to sue her for defamation of character 🤷🏾‍♀️ ijs

It's because for some odd reason Adrienne still has the mentality of a teenager. I like Adrienne but sometimes I just can't get with what she says sometimes. She has a lot of growing up to do mentally before she fully understands things. For example, she thinks when she has kids her and her husband will still be intimate every day. Tamera tried to tell her that's not real life because it's not about you anymore, you have a human being to care for now. You just can't rock them, feed them, bathe them, and put them to sleep and think you'll get that imitate time. She really can't grasp real-life situations.

@@stewartlittle16 I totally agree ! She does have the mentality of a teenager it's very clear when they talk about deeper issues that she kind off lacks the skill of critical thinking. She has a very vain perspective on things, it gets frustrating and annoying at times. I still like her tho :)

You can be a fan of someone and disagree with what they say and right now thats how I feel about Adrienne. One thing i notice with her that she cant seem to put herself in other peoples shoes but uses her experience as a way to define how others should have portrayed a certain situation.

She frustrated me so much. She made the exact same comment that she did the first time and you can't be comparing black women to being loud like that. It ain't right. I'm not getting paid nor do I have time to give a semester's worth of history lessons, but damn... She let me down.

I agree with that to a certain extent and alot of people were saying that black women are loud, and as a black woman... I can say WE ARE. Now I am not Necessarily saying that she should have said that... but it is true also she does share her opinion and I don't think that she is close minded but she does try to relate using her own experiences.

The sad part is if Monique looked like Adrienne we would all be applauding her for speaking her mind and her truth and speaking up for all women of color but shes too big and too black for us to even acknowledge that Monique is trying to stand up for all of us. "Times of slavery have ended" (my family says that in Spanish all the time/Afrolatina/intersectional/i see all perspectives) meaning no one should be expected to work for free. Unfortunately times since slavery haven't changed all they way because we still don't want to give credit to someone as Talented as Monique for speaking up on behalf of all of us (women, woc, poc, etc) fighting for equal pay that can only help all of Us but shes too big and too black for even us to care. Adriene is just a typical girl from NY that forms an opinion and sticks to it (the whole segment) and is arguing without really listening ... I mean, there's probably some truth to it in the sense that...when you are saying things like this, when you are demanding more money to promote a movie you're in (when it benefits you to promote it, and when its expected, generally), you are kind of difficult to work with. BUT...sometimes its important to be difficult to work with to stand up for yourself. Its one of those situations where I'm not sure that her criticism is wrong, but its just not doing her any good to continue to badmouth these people. I do not believe they deliberately blackballed her...but I do believe they wouldn't pay her what she's worth.

It’s her show she can say and do as she pleases, trust, but no one is going to listen to you if you are screaming OVER them. With everyone who has been in her corner since day one congrats, but a preacher shall not preach to their choir, they shall preach to the nay sayers and the non believers, they will have patience and continue to speak their truth until everyone sees that it’s just that, the truth. With that said good job Kym, secure you bag and tread lightly.

Before anyone comes for me, I just wanna debate something (in a healthy way) for a second, let me start with the fact I am not a black woman, so I don’t know...apologies if I sound ignorant. But regarding the conversation about black women’s weaves/wigs/hair being searched at the airport, surely this is a relevant extra security measure? Again, I don’t know but wouldn’t it be the same if a white woman or man had a hair piece or wig on, it would be searched too? The fact of the matter is, not everyone is a criminal but things may and have been hidden in stranger ways..I don’t know but I feel like we shouldn’t always jump to something being racist without critical thinking of both sides.

Why when black women stand up and say hey this is how I was treated we to loud? You can't tell a person how to express themselves it's called self expression ,example when I'm hurt or been wronged I remove myself ,my sister will cry, my other sister will go toe to toe with you . Adrienne has no right to tell people how to handle their emotions,. she was at her own show , not Adrienne's house .

This “positivity” thing is annoying. It gets us nowhere. Monique has every right and is entitled to speak about the injustices towards her career. Don’t tone police a black woman who is bringing up a very serious issue in the industry. Also, to say she’s being loud and angry is getting very anti-black Adrienne. She has gone on interviews, spoke elegantly, and people still don’t want to take her serious. She can’t win. The least y’all could’ve done is respected her frustration and give her the space to speak her issues with these three powerful people in the industry.

Am I the only one who was surprised by Kym’s. Voice? I knew she always played a particular role with her high pitched voice but still didn’t know her voice was sooooo deep! I thought it was a man 😳
