My oldest is 23. I have a 19 and 12 year old girls as well. I never allow them to sleep over anywhere. What my husband and I did was concentrate on my girls education in positive moral character. We also concentrated on their general education and expanding their talents. We encouraged them to expand their passions, talents and skills. This kept them not really interested in illicit relationships and keeps them concerned with their confidence and security. We surround ourselves with like minded people. We separate men and women. This cuts down on our community for opportunities to be attacked. Keep up the protection your mother gave you with your daughter. You will not regret it and do alot of age appropriate explanations for those protections.

Please don't forget, boys need protection too and the confidence to speak up if something happens/happened to them. And sexual assault does not always come from an "illicit" relationship, it's someone you know/trust and can happen in any place by even women too.

Important to teach your kids boundaries from a young age too!! If they’re taught “every adult is right don’t question any elder” from a young age they’re more likely to be silent and not speak up if someone is innapropriate
