Giordano Bruno And His Tragic Quest to Unite All Religions

In the fascinating pages of human history, occasionally, there emerges a figure whose brilliant light, though extinguished by the sands of time, shines ever bright in the annals of thought.
Such a luminary was Giordano Bruno, a martyr, not to a single doctrine, but to the grand ideal of universal truth.
Giordano Bruno posed a question and lived the answer, attempting to weave a perspective of unity from the diverse threads of religious and philosophical traditions.
And as with many who push against the boundaries of their era's understanding, he found himself in conflict, not with truth, but with those who believed they were its sole guardians.

Simon Magus is found in early Christian writings, particularly in the New Testament and the writings of early Church Fathers. Here are a few key sources: 1. The Acts of the Apostles (New Testament): Simon Magus is mentioned in Acts 8:9-24. The passage describes him as a sorcerer who practiced magic in the city of Samaria. He attempted to purchase the power of the Holy Spirit from the apostles Peter and John. 2. The writings of Justin Martyr (2nd century AD): Justin Martyr, an early Christian apologist, refers to Simon Magus in his works, particularly in his "First Apology" and "Dialogue with Trypho." He criticizes Simon as a heretic and a sorcerer. 3. The writings of Irenaeus (2nd century AD): Irenaeus, an early Christian theologian, provides an extensive account of Simon Magus in his work "Against Heresies." He describes Simon as a false prophet and the founder of a heretical movement known as Simonianism. occult powers attributed to Simon Magus: 1. Telekinesis: The ability to move objects with the power of the mind. 2. Levitation: The power to suspend oneself in the air without physical support. 3. Shape-shifting: The ability to change one's physical form or appearance. 4. Divination: The practice of foretelling future events or gaining hidden knowledge. 5. Necromancy: The conjuring or communication with the spirits of the dead. 6. Healing: The power to cure diseases and ailments. 7. Pyrokinesis: The ability to manipulate and control fire. 8. Weather manipulation: The power to influence or control weather patterns. 9. Mind reading: The ability to perceive the thoughts and intentions of others. 10. Alchemy: The practice of transmuting substances and achieving spiritual purification. The condemnation of Simon Magus, the New Testament indicates that he was rebuked and confronted by the apostle Peter for attempting to purchase spiritual power (Acts 8:18-24). Early Church Fathers, such as Justin Martyr and Irenaeus, also condemned Simon Magus as a heretic and false teacher, associating him with the promotion of false doctrines and leading people astray. Basically giving people too much occult power

As far as favorite groups= The 13th century Luciferians "Luciferianism was a heretical movement in the 13th century Rheinland region in the vicinity of Cologne, Mainz, and Trier. The primary sources that mention Luciferianism include Pope Gregory IX's bull 'Vox in Rama,' which condemned the heresy, as well as the testimony of a heretic named Lepzet and entries in German chronicles. The Luciferians were reported to hold heterodox beliefs, considering Lucifer a benevolent deity unjustly banished from heaven. They anticipated his eventual return and believed in the potential acceleration of this process through fasting and ascetic practices. They much like Simon Magus had various occult powers ( Telepathy, Shape Shirfting, healing, ect) There are suggested similarities between Luciferianism and Provençal Catharism, potentially indicating shared doctrines, rituals, or spiritual beliefs. It's said they went into hiding some even joined the church hiding with their enemies.

The most important spiritual figure for me is Sri Ramana Maharshi - a rare example of a fully Enlightened Being . However, He had the advantage of being fully self realised , so even when He lived in an underground room in a temple for many weeks and insects fed on him He still enjoyed the Bliss of samadhi . Tyndale is a great hero - bringing the Bible in English and getting burnt at the stake for his troubles . I also respect the Sufi saint Mansur Al Hallaj who suffered terrible persecution and torture ( and ultimately death ) for saying , like Christ , ' I and my Father are One ' . 🙏🕊️

At the end of the Age of Aries, “the lamb was slain.” At the beginning of the Age of Pisces, the “disciples” were fishermen. The next Age is that of Aquarius, symbolized by a man with a pitcher. (The Ages are due to the precession of the equinoxes, an astronomical phenomenon). 2 - On December 25, the three stars in Orion's Belt - Mintaka, Alnilam and Alnitak (Arabic names) - are aligned with the brightest star, Sirius, and this alignment points to the east, the place of “birth” of the Sun. (The three stars “follow” Sirius)

Giordano Bruno is a testament to our times and he stands as a living testament to what is possible when you stand up to your beliefs as we’re all entitled to do…could you also do one on Socrates! Thank you!

A wonderful piece of video art. My only remark to add: The role of the Jesuits in the Roman Inquisition, the 30 Years War, the increasing imperialization of 'catholicism'...it wasn't for no reason that the Jesuits had been expelled from over 80 countries, and disbanded by Clement XIV (who was probably poisoned shortly thereafter!).

Me sir ? I'm more a mystery than a mystic. I've only recently come across your video library. It's like a healthy pond. It has clarity & depth. I found myself dipping into its mysteries. Why only yesterday I pulled out a catfish, or was it a cat ? At least the topic was on the sacred mystery of cats. It was a compelling specimen. I put it back in the pond for others to dwell upon its magnificence. As for todays find, I must mull it over, ponder it further to increase my understanding. As I pack away my pond net I can only express my gratitude. Thank you for having such a well stocked pond.

Hello Sir. A few months ago I had a spiritual encounter with my guardian angel. One touch was enough to dispel me of all my worries and fears. I now feel at peace, cant frown, no anger, no judgement, no fear of death. And the first vision I had after that was that I need to do alm I can to unite all religions. We cant be divided in heaven so why on earth ?

From Jewish Exodus and Greek Argonautica. Moses and Jason. The story holds "concepts" we can see in the background. We see the template. 1. Calling - Both saved as youngsters. 2. Struggle to leave past - Jason and island of Old Gods. Moses and Egypt. Both leave but are chased. 3. Supernatural aid - Jason to Mt Olympus to talk to Zeus and gain five favors from the goddess Hera. Moses to Mt Horeb to talk to Yahweh at burning bush and get the magical staff. 4. Crossing the threshold - Jason invokes a God to help him sail through the Clashing Rocks. Moses invokes God to open the Red Sea for him to run through. Both barely get through. Etc. etc. etc. It's huge. It was their media in their day. The Bible is a carrier of a common monomyth, only in religious genre. One may as well worship Zeus and await the return of Jason. Or worship Krishna while awaiting the return of Arjuna. One myth.

I remember first seeing this guy on a Netflix series with animated scenes of various philosophers and scientists. There was a part in Bruno’s tale that depicted him envisioning himself floating among the glories of the cosmos as he expressed his thoughts and I still get teary eyed thinking of it. He felt that sensation that so many of us have, that we are a microscopic piece of a cosmic whole, beyond nationality, race, religion, ethnicity, sex, gender or any other label humans give themselves, we are all one family in the grand tapestry of Existence. To not break after 7 years of imprisonment by the Inquisition gives credence to the words: Unbreakable Truth.
