This woman is the definition of "Hollywood Royalty"
Ginger was 64 when she made this appearance. Truly classy and wonderful lady. My absolute favorite.

Boys and Girls that's the definition of class and true Hollywood.....
Way back when late night TV had class.
Ginger Rogers was a class act.
Absolutely gorgeous Ginger looks here even better than in her youth. Her dress is beyond any words. Women of those years had exquisite taste and manners. Unfortunately it's all gone now. This video is a real gift. Thanks a lot.

A handful of stars had all they needed was a commercial system around Hollywood, a good variety of now-defunct stores, rich and beautiful food, and so on. They hate the Hollywood system, but education on manners and other basic knowledge must have had a lifelong influence on them.

My friend, Ginger "had some work done". Of course she looked good. The best face and breasts that money could buy.
Pat Boone, the perfect gentleman when she comes back after dancing with Johnny, he stands up again
Elegant, classy, professional. So much better than today's entertainers

I agree with that !!
The jazzy segues by the band and bumper cards on the old Carson were so sophisticated and cozy feeling. Really miss that.
People don't realize how hard these dancers work to perfect their craft. By the time you see the finished product on the big screen, hours and hours of stretching and practicing intricate dance moves nave been spent making it look so effortless. Much respect to all those magnificent dancers, like Ginger Rogers.
What a talented host with class! Miss that style today.
OMG - how beautiful in that periwinkle gown! What woman would not want to wear it! Glamorous Ginger Rogers who did fabulous dramas as well as musicals!
The lovely and sexy GingerRogers dancing with JC and singing. What memories. So nice someone put this out, just one time.
A star in the true sense of the word. She is a STAR!
That is a beautiful woman with great class. He was a great actress also.
I’ll always be glad that I was alive at the same time as these breathtakingly great people.

I just had the sweetest smile on my face, a rich emotional response the entire performance of Ginger singing…extra extra lovely ❤
Ginger is everything you look for in a performer, just everything. Great performance.
Quite honestly this performance brought tears to my eyes. I have no idea why. So classy and elegant, such a nuanced control yet rooted so deeply in real emotion. I have always been a huge fan of Ginger's and this only intensified it. Thanks for posting this!

I recommend reading her auto bio. Five hundred pages and every chapter fascinating!
I saw Ginger Rogers on The London Stage many many years ago. I was just a kid. I was overawed. I have a signed photograph.
Gingers mother Lela, I understand, was an incredible woman, and responsible for bringing, not just Ginger, but Lucille Ball and other girls to RKO that helped build the studio.
She is such a sweetheart! 💗💗💗
Such a talented and beautiful woman.
Wow, I love her outfit....Such Grace, and her dancing with Freda Astaire was Heaven scent and mesmerizing. Linda
The genuine article! Such a warm and positive person.
I’ve never seen an interview with Ginger Rogers .Fabulous….Thank you ❤
Classy and elegant lady. Sweet spoken.
Simply gorgeous...Ginger Rogers one classy lady...thats what we call class and teue hollywood...
Ginger was a Doll. RIP
During WW2 she invited GIs to her ranch. My uncle went and he said she was a class act. She spent time with everyone.
She sings a Gershwin song that Astaire originally sang to her.
O my so neat to see this beautiful lady. Has so much talent and beauty.. do not see any more.. thank you for putting this clip on Johnny's show. .
Just beautiful
I met Ginger Rogers in Palm Springs November 1992! Her autobiography influenced me to study Christian Science.

My mother was a Christian Scientist as long as I can remember. She parted company with the Episcopal church, so she and my sister went to the CS church in my hometown, while my dad and I went to the Episcopal church. Anyway, you can best believe a copy of Roger's book is in my mom's personal library.
PURE GLAMOUR ❤️❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I LOVE GINGER AND FRED FOREVER❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Very talented
❤ Johhy Carson.. My aunt got me into a lot of old shows and movies growing up... They really don't make these shows anymore 😢 how I miss the 70s and the 80s.. WISHING EVERYONE A WONDERFUL AND SAFE AND HEALTHY 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND 🥰😁🤗🎉🎉
Love that outfit. Classy.🤗
…..one of my idols….she also danced in the movies with my favourite guy…” Fred Astaire”….💕💐
Ginger is oooozzzziiiinnnggg sexiness - looking great.
God Johnny was the best!!
At 64 yo and STILL gorgeous!!
Class, what you really don't see today.
Beauty, class & talent
Yay Ginger!!! ❤😍🥰
I've heard it said that Ginger had it even harder than Fred. She had to know all of the steps and then do them BACKWARDS!

Ginger Rogers year 2023; work from above ^ µ
Gorgeous lady.
Those were the days!
How can this be almost 50 years ago?
A doll as a younger woman and a doll as a divine woman of a certain age! I’m mad for her.
She had some great stories to tell, I wish he had let her speak.
This was aired two days after I was delivered from Macy's New York to a hospital in Kingston , Jamaica . Should not be showing my age really
What I miss most is celebrities dressing up when appearing on tv . Now we get Cardi B or or celebs showing up as if they just rolled out of bed,
Ginger and Astaire just too good.
Ginger and Fred were dating for nine months before Ginger whent into the movies this song is all about how they met in Girl Crazy theatre production and went on dates and danced together till 3 in the morning regards Graham

I agree. The line, "The way you changed my life", was profoundly true. First, for the way their personal partnership in New York, then their professional partnership in Hollywood changed BOTH their lives for the better.
Afi legend . ❤ ginger

Such a classy and talented lady, and a real hottie back in the day. 😉
Ginger Rogers, the woman who danced mirror opposite on Fred Astaire on high heels.
Can you imagine Ginger covering herself with a bunch of hideous tattoos ??? Think of how far we have sunk .
I'm glad this total class act isn't alive to see what her America has become...🧐

Same age as Lucille ball but didn't smoke and drink
Lovin all the content. I previously posted a long list of music guests I would love to see here. I just want to again mention one of those names- Wes Montgomery.
She believes in the Bible. How refreshing

Ginger always reflected the classic glamorous star style of old Hollywood which unfortunately is long gone and replaced with over paid celebrity show offs who need to air all their dirty washing to stay in the public eye because of a lack of real talent.
Ginger was besties with Lucille Ball.
Woman could dress.
After Ginger's "six day" schtick, Johnny realized she was nuts, but handled it brilliantly, let it pass.
Johnny was limber.
She was so talented, beyond any entertainers of today. But then she brings up the bible and I'm done.

Not a great singer but a perfect performer
Too bad she never had kids, would have interesting to see if they would have gone into show business.
She didn't complete the thought.
That's very Christian Science. God created the heavens and the earth in 6 days. God created us in 6 days but actually we were all in God's Mind; Spirit before creation through Jesus Christ. We already existed with God in Spirit in Christ.
Too all the woke democrats and liberals out there , THIS IS A WOMAN.

Ginger Rogers was hard as nails but perpetuated this honey sweet public persona. She and her mother accused innocent people in Hollywood of being Communists. I love the Astaire/Rogers musicals but as a person she was vile.
