I don't think I'm ready for the day we can no longer call Rita a living legend. She means so much for so many. I feel so blessed to have that representation.

My father used to watch the Electric Company with me because of Rita Moreno. He LOVED her and kept telling me what a great actress she was. It was years later that I finally saw her in West Side Story. I saw the great talent that my father spoke of often. I understood what he meant when he said "She kicked down doors and broke the glass ceiling for people of color. When he told that as a child I took it literally and wondered if she served any jail time. LOL! But I learned what he meant when I finally saw the movie and learned her story. I know he is in heaven now looking down as I am watching this icon and thinking of him laying on the family room floor watching Rita Moreno with me. Thank you for posting.

All we need now is an Electric Company reunion in 2021,if PBS is smart enough to do so,now that Morgan Freeman has made peace with his Easy Reader character(there's an interview in an AARP 2017 magazine about his life and career) and time on the show.One of my absolute favorite learning shows.
