Gin Blossoms - Mrs. Rita (Live at Farm Aid 1994)
Музыка
Gin Blossoms perform "Mrs. Rita" live at the Farm Aid concert in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 18, 1994. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

Their music is upbeat and jangly but there's always a sadness lingering somewhere down there. I love it

That's what makes them so great in my opinion. Their music reminds me a lot of Tom Petty's music, very bright sounding yet fairly dark lyrics.
My favorite Gin Blossoms song.

Thank Doug Hopkins, he wrote it before they got signed, fired him and blew his brains out. This is all Doug's music. They were never able to write a decent song. They were a nice cotton candy band who couldnt compete with the likes of P Jam, etc. Goodbye

Okay
My favorite GB song. My band covered it! Great bass line. Love them.
Phil the best drummer ever
One of Jesse's best songs, ever. Complex musically, and it rocks!

"as long as it matters" is pretty similar; it's just a matter of who played guitar on it.

@@ramonasablan2869 no he didn’t. Jesse Valenzuela did… Any GB fan knows this…
I love that guitar riff right after 2:35.
I went to ASU and hung out on Mill Ave in '88 when I was younger. I graduated from ASU thanks to their super music! Happy 50th this year, Robin! I just turned 50 this month. Thanks for the great music.
This whole set is awesome.
jesse valenzuela (guitarist on the left) and also jim swafford (who played in a band with doug hopkins and the bassist bill leen, called the psalms)

I'm glad you remember Doug. He founded the band and wrote all the songs. After they got signed he blew his brains out because they fired him (from his own band!) and they ride on his glory til it was time to produce another album......Need I say more??? RIP, Dougie!

@@ramonasablan2869 He was great but he didn't "write all the songs." A lot of their best songs were not written by him, even when he was alive. "Allison Road." "Mrs. Rita." "Until I Fall Away," from NME. Then "Follow You Down." "As Long As It Matters." "Til I Hear It From You."
Yeaaa good music !
This is awesome
Still bumpin in 2018
Sick!!
first off amazing song, secondly nothing better than jangly , sloppy loud guitars with prettiness coming out of the mess :) , no auto-tune here!!
That’s one beautiful Les Paul!
Kurt Loder is a gin blossoms drunk!
