    Mrs. Rita is still at 9th and Ash in Tempe AZ. And Tempe misses their own sound, from back in the days of this song.

    Listening to the second verse, I'd have sworn it was written by Hopkins. The Google tells me no.

    Yes - unfortunately for Doug, he only increased his drinking pace . . . and drowned. Too many troubled souls slip through the cracks and check out early. I met my wife in April of 1993 with this song running through my head, as we were walking in opposiie directions in a circular park in KCMO (Loose Park). By the time I had passed her twice, I said to myself, "I just hope she's coming 'round again . . ." and when she did, our relationship began. We will celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary in May 2017 with our two wonderful children. Thanks for the memories, DH and Gin blossoms!
