You can play as him in some VR challenges.

The soundtrack references the original soundtrack when Gilgamesh first appears in the series.

It's the same Gilgamesh from V. There have been exceptions like Type 0 and XV as they're implied to be homebrewed versions. But if it is a Gilgamesh who has the power to travel the void then they are the same guy. Also the final fight w him confirms he remembers his fated rival who is Bartz

In my opinion, the Remakes have benefited from being made in this generation, purely because Sephiroth's enigmatic nature and psychotic calm can be better visualised and expanded upon here. The OG couldn't do that as much, given the tech available at the time

Yes. A remake of the original psp games with even more characters like Clive, Vincent, Seifer, Ignis, Celes, Rydia, etc.

Not quite; Marvel humor would capitalize on the character vocalizing how awkward they feel and/or how they meant to do something awkward. Gilgamesh isn't really self-aware in this respect - he's just awkward, period.

Japanese version is WAY better

He acts like he's Yoshimitsu's brother.

I just cant with this. I love ff7. I was there in 97, it being like the third rpg i ever played. But all these added things that never happened are ruining it for me and thing that did arent in. Ill play it soon to just see it through but i just wanted ff7 prettied up. Not changing things so much.

None of what I just saw is actually good. I remember when ff7 stuff was good now it’s just meme adjacent trash. It’s so depressing they have completely lost the tone of the original . Sure the og had weird parts, but sephiroth wasn’t involved when the story was joking around. In fact his presence was amplified by his absence.
