Legendary Piano man , deserves much more credit for his amazing songs, piano and vocal style,

The Orchestra in Japan did so well . . . I adore hearing the strings in Gilbert’s music x

he plays that piano just as "naturally" as I breath...

I first heard this song as an instrumental by a Colombian band while listening with my Cuban first wife during CHOM-Montreal's "Spanish Hour". It would be another 45 years before I heard this version, only to learn that it was Gilbert O'Sullivan, whose peak success coincided with ours, who had written and recorded the sung original. Whatever else happened before or after Nothing Rhymed, every measure of this song is still an elegy to me.

Absolutely, Sandra. In my home in Shimonoseki, Japan this came on on Japanese TV and I thought I was in heaven. He's massive in Japan while you could ask people in his native county of Waterford in Ireland and they wouldn't know who he is/was!! Very underrated lyricist and a fantastic dance-able beat ...

Love this so much. The man from Waterford, bigger in Japan than in his native country, just like me!!! Dire Straits were at number one in my charts for a long time but now this has taken over. So happy, so funny, brilliant lyrics and how can one refrain from dancing when one hears it? Dome arigato gozaimashita, O'Sullivan-san. Next year Ireland are going to win the Rugby World Cup in Japan and my son and I will be there, please God.
