Ойын-сауық

Pat Bev, Gilbert Arenas and Rone discuss the recent developments within the WNBA, how Caitlin Clark is giving the WNBA their 'Michael Jordan moment', what constitutes a 'welcome to the league moment' and why the WNBA's rookie hazing will make for a far more talented league

I'm going to add a little enlightenment to the ignorant replies to your comment. She's the only rookie ever to play a 30 point, 5 rebound, 3 steal, and 3 block game, something only 3 other players have done but only as vets. She's fastest ever rookie to 100+ points and 50+ assists - doing that in 8 games - and fastest ever to 100+ points, 50+ assists and 50+ rebounds, in 10 games. And everyone knows the conditions under which she's setting those records are ultra-difficult. Even the haters know she's been guarded and double teamed like no other rookie ever.

Rookie hazing is one thing; hacking the rookies is something that should not be excused. Example - Kate Martin's team made the bus driver drive off without her, and she had to run after it. Everybody including Kate was laughing their head off. On the other hand, Caitlin gets knocked off her feet by a spiteful bruiser and it only gets called as a common foul. That latter is not going to make for a more talented league.

Did CC open the door for other players to be noticed.....yes, does that mean players are not going to go at her , I am sure she tired of hearing bs because she ain't some push over player and if you watched that game she elbow Chennedy in the face then told her off but for the media to over look poor officiating and to try and turn that into something else is nonsense. I just watched A'ja Wilson go for a lay up and get half her face taken off. How about Angel Reese get picked up and slammed to the court. How about Skylar Diggins Smith go for a block and get hit in the mouth; she even has a interview talking about being a rookie and how she had a target on her back , when she was a big name coming into the WNBA she felt like players came after her, just like what your seeing with CC, was it race no the Ref control how the game is going to be played if they don't do there job then your going to have a game where players are going to get hurt are start fighting back. Does CC need a enforcer on the team no, the ref need to do there job.

Gilbert is so full of crap. On his own podcast he said the exact opposite about expansion. Oakley was traded four years after MJ was drafted. Rodman was in San Antonio and on his way out the league when the Bulls traded for him. This dude changes with the wind.

Gil hope U get that 100 million contract, U r a good company man , finally😜🤩 Never seen U push a sista the way U R pushing CC, less talented , when there more talent women, AJA , never heard a word fm U, to promote or shoutout👀 so now talent don’t matter & we go with the ppl vote🫣how come the media push NBA impact players & best players , while the WNBA gets told to shut up & dribble, It’s a damn shame brothers can’t rep sista ,like sista rep the NBA🤩

When the mugging stops on Caitlan, as with Jordan, she is going to explode on the court and dramatically expand the WNBA fan base, beyond anyone's comprehension. With Clark, there is jealousy and hatred just like with Jordan, only more so because she is a white Micahel Jordan. There are growing fans of Caitlan Clark who all represent America, very young, very old, very white and very black. You WNBA players who hate Clark and don't respect her, fine, but don't mug her because of it. Prove you can compete against Clark, that's what all of America who are now watching want to see.

Cc has talk to much trash and need humble herself. She is a great player but overhype. Playing with pros is different than playing college ball. Them girls is NOT going to let a rookie take their spot. She have to earn her spot. You on thier turf now so be a lil more humble

Or CC could say screw the WNBA and go make a bundle overseas or in the Big3, and the WNBA will fall back into the obscurity they deserve. Bottom line, with only a few exceptions, it's no better than decent D3 mens. In reality, these guys are thinking about the men's game. The women's game should focus on their strengths, speed, quickness, outside shooting. Get rid of the thugs and obvious fouls in the paint, and players who can't make a layup. And it's not built on Taurasi, etc. It's been built off of NIL. NIL, and the $$ that come with it have driven players to build a social media presence. Both CC and Angel Reese have almost 2 million followers on Instagram alone. The older vets are jealous of the young, smart players who have built their brand while still in college.

whenever people compare players to Clark they always bring up that she didnt win a ring. Aliyah Boston won a ring, the Fever still sucked. Cardoso and Reese are both on the Sky. Fever vs Sky....end result.....recordholder's team wins. Clark's records PROVE she's the best rookie the league has seen in years. Sorry that you've been tricked into thinking rings are superior to records.

"The People Choose Her"...BINGO! Great video! Some real insightful ideas. Thank you! The WNBA would benefit by understanding what people are coming to see most...and make whatever adjustment needed to provide the opportunities for them to see it...especially those 30+ footers. 🤯 🤗🤗New eyes want to see what they saw in college...clean, competitive, high scoring basketball. Even if you wrap the violence in the more acceptable idea of "toughness", watching big women beating each other up under the basket for a 60 to 70 score is not primarily why they came. Caitlin missed 7 3,s in a row before she hit a long one. By the explosive reaction of the crowd, it may as well been her first. All this excitement is an opportunity. The WNBA has it's work cut out for it. Hope they are up to the task.👍

How is it Caitlin is getting so called hazing and I've seen very little of it with other draft picks. These players don't give a damn about her stats or college accomplishments. Only the endorsements she's received. The line between physical play and cheap shots apparently doesn't exist. Every fan knows, there are physical moments in every game. Several of these cheap shot artist have z 11:55 ero chance for endorsements Billion dollar companies will not give million dollar endorsements to mouthy cheap shot artist's Opportunity missed 🤑🤑🤑
