Got two Action Soldiers for the $25 BBTS mess up price. Pretty happy.

They look better than most of figures in the mainline. I’m probably getting two and mixing them in with the AF Desert squad I got going on. Definitely having the Infantry commando lead these guys

looks great. ordered a couple each of these guys. the soft goods piece reminds me of Homer's mumu

Waiting on Hasbro to ship mine. Can’t wait to get him. I agree with APWT that the Big Ben rifle is nice up to the double barrel. But you hit the nail on the head, this line is screaming for accessory packs - weapon packs, specialty troop pack (mortar, heavy gunner etc) and a bivouac kit.

Gotta get 4. Need a fire team of these

Wow! You brought back a flood of memories, I had the same desert storm G.I. Joe. I had completely forgotten about that, thank you so much for bringing back great memories from my childhood!

I was quite excited for this one, Ive collected the original 60s 12 inch figures for a long time. I wish we would have gotten a few of them rereleased, but it is cool seeing a modern take on the Joe that started it all, and is responsible for the birth of all action figures. A lot of people don't know that the ARAH line with Cobra came nearly 20 years after Gi Joe was first produced and that Joe started its life as a fully posable 12 inch doll for boys.

I ordered multiples of both 60th anniversary figures through BBTS with the pricing errors, and yes they honored them.

Good Review! I am waiting on 3 from Pulse. As far as the bulkiness of the kit kind of goes with the territory. Probably will need to position the arms forward a little bit. Definitely looking forward to getting mine. ✌🏽

Very exciting to see these are making their way out to customers. Generous amount of accessories. They didn't need to do multiple hands, should have just done full finger gloves, waist. Rock and roll legs, belt, holsters. Camo looks like it was done well. Thank you for the review.

I've never been interested in collecting anything GI Joe though I did like the show when I was a kid. After watching a few of your videos, I definitely want a few now. The ones I've seen on your videos are really great looking figures. Thanks.

I actually like the Recon Diver better. I didn't pre-order this one. Honestly, I'm tired of desert figures. If they would have given him a woodland or multicam/scorpion camo color scheme, I would have pre-ordered him. I hate the double barrel AR. I know it's based on a real gun, but the real gun is just a novelty. The FN machine gun is solid. I already have the Gridiron loadout for Roadblock, so I'm not desperate for the M2HB. I don't care for the poncho either, but it's an extra so why not. The plate carrier is cool, and it'd be neat if Hasbro released some pouch packs. I'll pick one up eventually, but it's not something I have to have right away. As always, great review! I appreciate how you keep it short and to the point.

So far I have 1 on preorder. I want to army build but won't have the budget for it until the Summer. So...if he sells out...oh well. I am not going to pay over-inflated costs after-market to army build.

I have him preordered on amazon. they have him listed for april but hasbro sometimes releases stuff earlier than listed dates so he could come in any time.

These are probably my favourite figures. The only thing I would prefer is a different rifle (scar H or something) but that is an easy fix with valaverse weapons packs. I bought 6. 4 without the cloak, and 2 with to make a small team.

I’ve preordered 17 Action Soldiers so far and will be getting more!

Are you able to hang the weapons on the pack pegs? Mine wasn’t able to and I feel like it was a miss since other figures can. Still purchased 3 of them tho and I’m happy with them. That’s my only complaint.

I wonder if Hasbro will release a simpler version of this guy just with basic accessories as a more affordable army builder?

Target had a spend $75 save $20 toy deal this week. I picked up the soldier, sailor, and added a third figure I already had to get the deal, then returned the other figure at full price to make my after tax cost $25.52 each!

picked up 3 each and its good to see someone actually know what they are talking about besides asking viewers for the info , also glad you called it a mag and not a damn clip like some of these DAs , being prior military it irritates the hell out of me to hear the word clip.

Nice! I’d rather buy this than the TF 2-pack Roadblock.

I wonder, does Grunt's Steel Brigade helmet fits on this guy? I've got four on pre-order -- I had six on order, but knocked it down a bit because I'm trying reign in the spending a bit.

I'm on the fence about this and the Diver figure. I'm mostly thinking of using em for customs. The Diver is an easy V2 Snake Eyes, maybe a Dr. Fumbles, or the original one I was thinking about which was OG MW2 Gulag Mission Soap MacTavish. As for the infantry trooper, I think I'd just make a more modern take on Dusty. I don't hate the one we got, but he was one of a few figures who, IMO, was waaaaay to classic. I feel like right now they have the aesthetic perfect for the line, modern but enough of their classic design to make them distinctly the character. Dusty, Falcon and Spirit are the 3 that come to mind the most when I think 1:1 classic recreation. Not bad, but I'd prefer a more modern take on the Joes with this line, while still going full classic for the Retro Card line. Well that was kind of a tangent.

I have a question/concern. Love the figure but why is the ammo belt so short? Like everyone i want thus figure to give that .50 cal to my Roadblock but i wish that ammo belt was a lot longer and more flexible so it would hang down instead of sticking out straight. The ammo belts for the 12" Joes i have actually can be linked together to make them longer. Wish these were that way...

The LMG is based on an FN Minimi...so basically the European version of the M249 SAW.

The Action Soldier would be a great base for a greenshirt.

Probably get a few eventually.

Does the vest inhibits his ab crunch?

First of this line of figures I've gotten. Just loved the accessories and overall look. But not a fan of how bent and flimsy the weapons look and feel, they also don't fit onto the pegs on the backpack which is a shame. Weapon storage is always a great feature with toys in general. I will say though, coming from collecting mostly Star Wars Black Series, the posability of these figures are great.

Agh don't have the money for them yet want them three each of all four for variety and mint in box

The Retro Snake Eyes

First, I want to apologize, this will be a long text. But how I feel about how lucky we are today Tell you what, we are so lucky rt. now if you’re a military action figure collector today. Don’t care what people say about Valaverse Action Force line up vs Hasbro .GI Joe Classified etc. For me I collect both. And what I see that is a massive win for all us collectors is how these 2 companies are competing against one another for the top dog of the military 6” action figure line up. To many people want to attack hasbro gi joe line and the others want to attack valaverse for his line up. Mean if it wasn’t for Valaverse doing what he is doing with his amazing real world military weapons, his figures with multiple hands, and a stand. We all remember what G.I. Joe figures look like when he first came out. Granted I still like them, but they were a little too kid friendly looking with some of their colors and less not forget those terrible Nerf looking weapons they gave us. Horrible. But they gave you a backpack and maybe a knife.. but they saw how action force was blowing up. Hasbro changed a lot in our lineup. Now they offer almost the same amount as Valaverse does. Granted he still does offer a lot more than them on a regular basis at no premium pricing. But still, Hasbro has been knocking out out of the park lately with G.I Joe. I just wish they changed their plastic on some of their stuff, for instance, they’re guns. So gummy and a lot of times bent. Still in my eyes it’s a massive win win for all us military 6” collectors. So people need to get off this hating on one company over the other when it comes to the 6” military line. Rt. Now let them keep fighting for our $ and top dog status. As long as we keep getting amazing figures in both lines, with crazy accurate looking weapons, extra hands, a lot more gear, stand etc., etc. Bring it on.

I cannot WAIT for my marine.

I guess that argument can be made, but you could also say how the line wasn't exactly shooting for the stars until after those Movie figures

Definitely the better of the two. He looks good. Would have been better with a single barrel rifle.

Yeah, as real world as it may be, the double-barreled M4 is lame. I got mine with Big Ben and I'm seriously thinking about cutting them off and in drill for a single barrel. Besides the Grunt M-16, you could also use the "stubby" M4 from Outback.

It was just a weird unwritten rule, we had rain jackets (wet weather gear) but the poncho could only be used for wrapping our gear and weapons. I think I only saw it worn one time by a crusty old Staff Sergeant

Eh I think its all personal preference. The AF stuff is just the same over and over, which just gets "meh" after a while. If the modular vest stuff holds up, it'll be interstate to see where it goes

I think this is very comparable to the deluxe sniper Blowback & blows all of the reg figs out of the water. $35 vs $55 Blowback. I was considering picking up then sniper Blowback, but this just squashed all of that. Once again, great review Bee!

that doubl barreled ar bugs the crap out of me. it feels like a craptcular scifi gun you'd see on a cobra fig. its also really dispionting to see the guns are that same crummy gummy plastic.

These anniversary figures will be my first passes. I just want the actual Gi joe characters. And I hate to say it, but valaverse blowback sniper looks better than this.

Not impressed by the weapons it comes with. Will have to replace them with some Gridiron studio weapons!

Thanks for the comprehensive review. It's annoyingly hard to find generic infantrymen with fairly realistic kit (as opposed to the usual sci fi nerf weapons). Action Force is an option, but so hard to get outside the States. Ended up getting two, with Jodie 'Shooter' Craig as their specialist / squad leader ( I modded her out with a desert camo paint scheme to match ).

My only real complaint with this guy is I wish they had given him a different rifle. I *really* don't like that goofy double barrel AR. I didn't like it with Big Ben and I still don't like it here. I ended up giving this guy the tan-ish M-16 that came with retro Scarlett.

Do the modular pouches actually pin in and stay in? I have a bunch of Marauder Gun Runners figures and that's the biggest problem with modularity. You move the figure and half his crap falls off.
