The human cetipede -move is actually his own idea. In the national selection UMK version of the show, they had something else at first, but they thought the show was too plain, and that it needed more "Käärijä" in it. So he came up with couple of moves, and the centipede-thing was one of them. It was at first called "piggy train" though, referring to iconic little kids ride in Särkänniemi amusement park, which is known by all finns. They made the move more centipede-like in the eurovision, since everybody started calling it human centipede. 😁

@@themetalmuse I never knew that context, but I just thought it was a metaphor of his drunkenness on the dance floor (given he's already fallen off the chair and is going to spill champagne on himself) according to the lyrics. Given this is basically a song about a lame mediocre man wanting his night out after work and imagining himself as quite a hulk and a cha cha cha dancer. But by the time he has the courage to do his cha cha cha, he's already too drunk and the execution of his fantasies goes a bit astray.

Well, what I meant is that people in general started calling it human centipede. The move clearly reminds more centipede in eurovision, and I think that is because of how people received the move. Of course I could be wrong and it just happened to have changed a bit to remind more centipede only by accident, but I do believe that how people were talking about it had some influence to it. I didn't say they changed the name.

Thank you for your wonderful reaction to Käärijä's video. I was at a gig at the Allas Sea pool in Helsinki even though my leg was broken. My friends carried me there and it was a great gig. It seems that all Käärijä's concerts are sold out. He is a phenomenon. And my leg is still broken...

Yeah I heard it, wasn’t my cup of tea. I don’t think it was right for Chris Harms vocal range. They’re a great band tho, especially live.

It's possible you saved the best for the last. Meaning his national final performance. You might like his song "Paidaton riehuja" (Shirtless Berserk). When he goes out on the town, he takes his shirt off. When people tell him to put his shirt back on, he replies "No", because he's a shirtless berserk. Don't ask him to put his shirt on, he's the shirtless berserk. The shirt's gonna come off.

I may have heard it live when they opened for Sabaton. But I was late to the show and slightly confused cos I hadn't expected Lordi and Babymetal and Sabaton all in one night........

Have you watched Käärijä's live gigs and do you know that his European tour requires e.g. bigger concert venues in England, because we want to go to his concerts

When will we really start the discussion that Loreen's song was a copy of Mika Newton's song? The most embarrassing thing is that Mika is from Ugraina and it's a shame that the Swedish song was even allowed to participate with such a clear copy. We support Ukraine, but we take away a song from their soloist, who will still win when the performer is Loreen? Double standards for me :(

No, not the final performance. I saw tiny clips from TikTok but not the final whole thing. I’ve reacted to the official video for this song. In that video I was clear that TikTik brought me to this place. So yes I’d seen bits and bobs here and there. Also, I’ve seen it parodied a lot! Plus I listen to this song everyday so musically I know what to expect, I was very clear about that in my previous video. Other commenters said on that video I should see his final and Loreen’s final to get perspective since there had been debate about who should have won. As someone who goes to a lot of metal gigs, I believe and know that each performance is unique. A performance of the same band same song might be totally different each night. So, I will react to different iterations of songs and shows. But thanks for watching and commenting. 🤘🤘🤘
