If you want a similiar catchy song by sabaton just like this the most similar i would say are race too the sea
I am on love whit this❤❤
I can understand. I was unfamiliar with this genre and while I realize it takes talent and skill to sing the way she did, I just didn't like the way it sounded one bit. Once I found out it was a story of a wicked stepmom, I hated it more. Sorry. 😢
No need to be sorry. It's good to have diversity of opinion.
@@themetalmuse thank you so much. I'm really not trying to make people mad, and I do understand she's very skilled and talented. I appreciate your kindness. So glad I discovered your channel! 💓
@@themetalmuse oh! I did a search and didn't see Maneskin! Have you reviewed their winning Eurovision performance? 💓
This is my introduction to both bands. I've been on an Electric Callboy binge the last few days. Any recommendations for more Baby Metal to check out?
Headbanger :)
@@themetalmuse Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check it out!
Slovenia, please. Its a great performance.
It's on my list.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. There probably aren't any others that are you style of music. Someone mentioned Slovenia which is about a witch called Veronica (or historically accused Slovene witch). Maybe if you are bored one rainy afternoon. THanks.
Well I am in Scotland so it's always raining ;) maybe it will rain this weekend too.
@@themetalmuse I should have realised that because of the accent.
Slovenia!
Slovenia has to be next, I love Raiven
Reacts to Slovenia 2024. The singer Raiven talks about the first woman accused and murdered for witchcraft in Slovenia, it is a very emotional song and with her she pays tribute to her. Veronika was her name.

Thank you
Scandalous that this didn't get more points. Beautiful!
I've just been looking over your videos and you don't have a reaction to Iceland's Eurovision entry from 2019 - "Hatrið mun sigra" by Hatari - is it possible you haven't seen that yet? If so you need to! If it helps, the first line of their bio is "Award-winning, anti-capitalist, BDSM, techno-dystopian, performance art collective: Hatari"
Sounds like something I'd like, will check them out.

After LOTL last year, my top pick this time again came last. Going to stop having a favourite for the next one...
Do you think you've been jinxing them?
@@themetalmuse Almost certainly. The only other explanation is that the whole of Europe and Australia have poor taste in music...
I have to see cover from ozzy)
👍👍😎😎🤘🤘
I guess the answer you were looking for is as simple as Du Hast
The dinner for one thing is broadcast in Sweden too under the name "Grevinnan och Betjänten" - The Duchess and the Butler. At least it used to be for my entire childhood and a long time since, but I would bet it's still going on some channel or other if not the same one as it's always been.
Wolf Totem
Noted.
That arena is called Ullevi and is saw Metallica there and when full there will be around 40-60 k with people. It is giving goosebumps just thinking about it when they all sing together
Vote for Slonevia... Raiven with Veronika is amazing
Ok. Lots of people have recommended this, so I'll defo do it.
Slovenia is a way to go next!
Hello, you have totally forget Nightwish Ereatest show on earth : kzread.info/dash/bejne/o6aB2dqeYtzHZag.html
Serbia 2023 would be a good one. Luke Black. Has a techno rock vibe
Great Reaction again! Did you noticed Lord Of The Lost ( kzread.info/dash/bejne/lq17tJaSh8-2ddY.htmlsi=OEG60ga_YdelbgQ5 ) and Yoyager ( kzread.info/dash/bejne/eYej28GmerDSfbw.htmlsi=7jKpM9OAH7mih_xL ) were on Eurovision last year?
Top 3 suggestions for metal/rock Eurovision entrys: - Finland: Hard Rock Hallelujah by Lordi (winners of Eurovision 2006) - Italy: Zitti e buoni by Måneskin (winners 2021) - Iceland: Hatrið mun sigra by Hatari (10th place 2019) Hoping you will react to them🤩
A very energetic performance!
I’m very interested in what you would think about Greece and Georgia 2024, they’re very far from the genres you listen to, but I noticed that in the Ukraine reaction you had really good input and comments despite it not being your “thing”, so I felt like it’d be interested if you reacted to some, I guess typical (but still great!) girlbops :D
Guess what you messed up again. How about doing a little research on the meaning of the song before you play it the song is about his feelings towards suicide
Guess what doing in blind is was on purpose
DIANA ANKUDINOVA-HUMAN Can you react of this wonderfull singer who sing that as a teenager. Bcs your reaction is wonderfull.❤
We need your reaction on Lithuania's or Armenia's entry 🫶 loving these reactions, thanks so much for the content!!! ❤️❤️
Was Bambie your favourite?
Yes
The lyrics of "Ulveham" are a Norwegian medieval ballad. There is also a Swedish version telling the same story, the only difference being that the main character is not a young woman, but a young man. BTW, the lyrics of the title track of the album "Vedergällningen" (released in 1999) by the Swedish Folk Rock band Garmarna, who also influenced Gåte, are taken from the Swedish version of this medieval ballad. Since you enjoyed the shortened ESC-version of "Ulveham", I recommend to also check out the original version of "Ulveham" which was released last year and is nearly twice as long: kzread.info/dash/bejne/q2Glz8iCpMWxoaw.html The live and official music videoclips on Gåte's official youtube-channel are also highly recommendable, especially the live-clips of "Knut liten" and "Rideboll og Gullborg" as well as the clips of "Hemnarsverdet", "Kjærleik" (both are acoustic songs) and "Skarvane" (which sounds very electronic). Gåte are my favourite Folk Rock band - I discovered them in 2004 - and they already started in 1999, when their singer was just 14 years old, but at the end of 2005, they went on hiatus and except for a few concerts in 2009/2010, it wasn't before 2017 that they reunited. Last year, the vocalist's brother and co-founding member Sveinung decided to quit the band. John Stenersen, the guy who replaced him and plays the keyed fiddle in the clip you watched, also plays in the female-fronted Norwegian Folk Metal band Bergtatt, who have realeased two albums, "Røtter" (2009) and "Lagnadsoger" (2013). They haven't been very active in the last couple of years, but still exist. If you are curious, check out their song "Huldra" (from their second album "Lagnadsoger"): kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZaqMsryJpJvFZ7A.html In this song, John Stenersen plays a hurdy-gurdy, as you can also see in this decent recording of a concert they played in Hungary in 2016, which starts with the aforementioned song: kzread.info/dash/bejne/pKaXqtFsmsfJhZs.html In December, Gåte will be touring in Europe, and they will play two concerts in the UK, in London on December 13th and in Manchester on December 14th.
This is one of the of the best ESC Songs of all time. I listen that every day, i love it ❤
🙏🥰🥰
Please do not do Finland, it's just a too long D joke
😂😂😂
@@Alex23517 Yes, the message might have been serious, but the performance had too many visual references to Austin Powers, to let it come through
@@Alex23517 😂😂😂
The singer, Gunnhild Sundli, started singing kvede at age of nine (a traditional Norwegian singing style, people please correct me if I'm wrong) and that's the cool thing she does with her voice. The band has been together a very long time and they have several really amazing songs. They really did not deserve the last place in the competition.
Agree defo not last place
iskreno rečeno marko je sa tom pjesmom rasturio hrvatsku europu i svijet sa svojom pjesmom a meni bila bezvezna
My favorite overall song in the Final this year, though Nemo and Bambie Thug were a close 2nd and 3rd. I have to agree with the person who suggested Slovenia to you. There were some jokes about a "coven" this year made up of Bambie Thug, the lead singer for Gåte, and the Slovenian singer, all with dark, attention-grabbing sound and visuals and amazing vocals. Another song I'd recommend to you is from 2021, when Måneskin won the contest for Italy with my favorite Eurovision rock song/performance to date.
I’ll defo check Slovenia now for sure!
REACT TO MALTA 🇲🇹 2024!!!!
Ah, the glorious last place for this song... Some of the pro judges should be pretty embarrassed they couldn't find a single point for this, but no surprise it didn't work for the public casting votes, as it's just not pop enough. The lyrics (which had to be altered for originality) are not exactly 'on brand' for Eurovision either. The performance on the night was good and the lead vocals (the only live thing at Eurovision) were on point. When you have an actual band competing like Gåte, the musicians need to find stuff to do - all the guitar acrobatics is not a million miles from what they do on stage for real. The original Gåte version is almost twice as long but had to be edited down as Eurovision has a strict 3 minute rule. I wish they had kept the harsh backing vocal higher in the mix, even though it wouldn't have helped then get more votes. If you like the music, their discography is worth hearing. They'd be touring in Europe in December, with Manchester and London being their UK dates. I think you've covered the best of this year's competition, although there was some metal-adjacent stuff that didn't get beyond the semi-finals. Last year Germany sent Lords of the Lost to claim the glorious last place, while Australia sent Voyager, a progressive metal meets '80s synthpop hybrid that did reasonably well. Eurovision has become a very impressive and highly entertaining show to watch, but it still offers little for fans of alternative music.
To me this was one of the best acts.
😁🤗🙏
The fact this song got last is insane. Very disappointed they deserved more
❤️
Slovenia does have a fun witchy vibe to it but i think if you're looking to dive further into the Eurovision rabbit hole I'd recommend some entries from earlier years like Finland 2021, Iceland 2019 and even Norway 2005 if you're into glam rock at all
Yeah Finland 2021 and Norway 2005!!! Soooo Good
Australia 2023!
I'd love to see your reaction to Hatrið mun sigra (Hate will prevail) by Hatari, Iceland's 2019 Eurovision entry. It's this unique electric/pop/metal song with chains and hammers and spikes, featuring a combination of the most angelic and the most throat-hurting voices in the contest.
Totally agree
I came here to recommend that one!
The guitar trick that this guitarist did, is also done by a different Eurovision act that I recommended a few weeks ago. Finland's entry from 2021: Blind Channel - Dark Side.
Blind Chanel is on my to do!
👍👍😎😎🤘🤘
❤️❤️❤️
Lethal weapon were the originals. Loaded Weapon was the one with Leslie Nielsen
Bingo
Sorry just passing by. Stumbled on your video i thought you reacting to Muse band😂 just realized your channel was named Metal Muse. Just a fun suggestion, maybe you can react to Muse band they also got metal song in their catalogues like Dead Star or In Your World. Cheers.
Hahaha lol plan. The name is a bit confusing I’ll admit because it was meant to be a play on the metal news and then play on me just sitting musing about music. Now people think I think I’m the muse and that’s defo not what it’s meant to mean. I have been considering changing the name of the channel and rebranding I am considering calling it rambling reactions to metal.
Nah. I guess you just need to stick with it and embrace being the muse (Still i want Muse contents too😊)
its Ghost with Wilson!!
Käärijä and Joost just released a song together you should def check it out! :D
