Mate this is awesome. Can you do a video or send a link to how to dial in the settings for this screen? Specifically settings for Macbook "work" and settings for pc "play?

Hi this was really helpful especially the reddit link to the color calibration thanks! One question, it seems like adjusting the user define colors makes it a bit less bright. Did you find this? Even though its technically meant to be 350 nits it just does not get as bright or seem to match the colors to the macbook the same way that my wife's LG 27UN880p does. Also, don't yet have a PS5/Xbox Series X but thinking about getting one - how big a difference is 60fps vs 120fps? Does it really make that much difference? Thanks!

I just compared sRGB with my Custom profile at the same brightness and I think they have the same brightness. Though I'd say sRGB appears a bit brighter due to the warmer color tone, but I believe they're equally bright in reality. For the next question, I guess it depends the type of games you play. Unfortunately, I haven't played enough (high-FPS) games to be able to answer it, lol. The ones I did play run 60 FPS max.

Do you have any issues with audio pass-thru? Are you passing audio into the monitor via the video signals and then passing it back out via the 3.5mm stereo minijack? I'm planning a similar setup to you, but with a desktop PC, a Dell laptop and a Macbook Pro M1. My plan is to run: - Macbook Pro M1 into a dock that supports DisplayPort over usb-c, then from the dock into the monitor via usb-c - Dell laptop into a Dell dock via USB-C then from the dock to the monitor via HDMI w/ audio - Desktop PC directly into the monitor via HDMI w/audio Then the plan is to simply run a 3.5mm stereo cable from the monitor to my speakers. Will that work under this model?

The speakers I use (Logitech G560) run on a USB connection so I’m not using the audio jack for speakers. I do use it for headphones, though, and it works fine on both macOS and Windows. In theory, your setup should work but I can’t be sure since I haven’t done so.

Also, is the KVM switch a true KVM switch where the computer doesn't think it lost a connection, or do these act like a simple switch and the computer thinks a new monitor was hooked up each time?

I’ve never used a KVM switch before, but like I mentioned in the video, the monitor has issues detecting signal from the other input when it’s inactive or even in sleep mode. When switching from Windows to Mac - if the Mac is in deep sleep, I have to press the on/off button on the Mac Studio to wake it up and vice versa. So perhaps it’s not a “true” KVM switch then?

@@kimkoh yeah true KVM switches are crazy expensive and it's because they maintain that connection -- or atleast they convince your computers that they're still connected, then it just swaps out the signal as needed. So you could have 3 comps and 1 monitor and all 3 think a monitor is hooked up to them simultaneously (but only 1 controls the actual signal). I think it's called EDID emulation.
