Hi all - bought this monitor but for some reason the aorus logo in the front has no light and the power led is very weak and dim in the light. Perhaps its just me that is clueless, but does it only work with rgb fusion and osd sidekick ?

Did you maybe test how the Overshoot etc performs with Freesync on? Freesync sometimes changes the overdrive performance in a major way

Hello. Does it support 4K 120Hz on PC?

Question, I'm trying to hit the current mid-range sweet spot for gaming 1440P with a rtx3060ti set up. I need two monitors. I would like to run guild wars2 at close to max settings as possible. I also work from home so one screen would just be dedicated for multitasking multiple programs/windows open. At the now price of $350-399 US this seems like a solid choice for the features do you agree? Also would this be ok for a PS4 pro?

It's certainly an impressive monitor and sounds like it would do the job for your needs. PS4 Pro should work fine too, I've not tested that but being 16:9 with HDMI ports shouldn't throw up any problems. I couldn't say for sure about VRR though without testing it myself

Great input on the monitor. Hard to believe even this late into the year, you are the only video reviewing this monitor. I will say the problem is in both with HDMI and display port. Did a firm ware update and can't get past 144hrz.

I can't go 1440p 240/270hz in fullscreen games. When I switch to a game in fullscreen it switches to 4k/144hz.

@@donalduka221 the HDMI carries the audio to the monitor, and the monitor integrates a DAC and headphone and mic jacks, but there are no speakers. I own this model and know the truth.

Do you know the sub pixel layout of this panel? I know the fi27q-x uses a BGR sub pixel and that’s a deal breaker for me

@@MeticulousTechTV if I were you I would just order it and take a zoomed in picture to see if it is bgr, then return it if it bothers you. I ended up going with the view sonic xg271q.

I'm getting issues where when i open a game it goes black for a second and changes my native resolution to 4k and max 144hz. Even if it's 1440p in the game settings, it's only at 144hz. Not 240/270 hz. For valorant I disabled fullscreen optimisation and it worked, but for other games it doesn't work.

I just tested the monitor today and this thing is a beast! The 2.1 hdmi model that released February of this year. So many options. Just need to configure it correctly and believe me it’s well worth it. G-sync and all.

Can I run 240hz qhd over the hdmi 2.1? I use a Razer Blade laptop wich only has a hdmi 2.1 option and no displayport. So is this monitor capable of qhd 240hz over the hdmi 2.1 or will I lose some colordepth?

Hi Kitgutu, I got myself this monitor to be able to play on my Desktop in 240 hz which is working fine and to be able to play PS5 Games such as Fifa and CoD on 120 hz. However I can't manage to set the monitor to 120 hz / 120 fps. This monitor has 2x HDMI 2.1 ports and I'm using Ultra HDMI cables as well but within the monitor settings it only shows 120 hz. As far as I understood I set everything on the PS5 right as well. Do you know what I'm doing wrong here?

isnt the maximum hz/fps for consoles is 120 ? u said it shows 120hz , then ur fine . normally it would be 60hz

If you are referring to the PC side of things, try using the DisplayPort cable it came with. The monitor ports on it are only hdmi 2.0, which I believe do not support 1440p 240hz.

Apologies, it does support HDMI 2.1. I would still try the DP cable to see if that fixes the issue, however

Are the only differences between the X and non-X the 240MHz, HDR level, and Quantum Dot Color? Is that really worth the huge price difference? I can get the non-X for around $400 on Newegg right now. I'm looking for a G-Sync compatible monitor with built in KVM because I am really getting tired of moving monitors and keyboard/mouse around between my work laptop and gaming PC.

Hey bud this monitor usually goes around $850. It’s probably the best all around monitor there is. 1440p@270hz 4k@144hz 4k@120hz (console) Gsync works perfectly. Low response time. Definitely recommend it. Only thing that can beat this would be a 4K 180hz or 4K 175hz

@@kjrayo18 I just ended up getting the FI32Q since I didn't want to spend too much. It's been a great monitor so far and the KVM is very helpful when switching between work laptop and personal gaming computer.

My monitor is stuck at the wrong active resolution: 3840x2160. Can't get it to show its correct one at 2560x1440 and so I have to suffer at only 144hz instead of the 240hz it's capable of. If anyone else has dealt with this let me know.

I had this monitor but returned it and got the Fi32U. It’s a great monitor but I wanted true 4k for my ps5 and pc. And it’s weird but the fi32u actually gets brighter then the q-x for me. I have a 3070 and play csgo and rocket league on pc. Halo I have to lower the resolution in game same with cod. But it still looks better on the 4k panel. 👍🏼 the sharpness is insane!

Would love to buy one, but since it "came" out -> its no where to be found :/

This is probably the best screen for triples sim racing, but i think this monitor is priced a little to high, it should have an MSRP of $800 with sales around $700, Gigabyte mess up giving them more expensive frame / base, they should have used the same as the M32U and gave us a lower retail msrp.

The G3 is still one of the cheapest 1440p 144Hz screens on amazon too, would be interesting to see how it holds up today.

@@KitGuruTech Thing is the G7 is the only VA with fast response times and no dark level issues. In fact it beats most if not all IPS high hz monitors. Using the limited dimming zones option in SDR hides any backlight bleed plus no ips glow and takes the black levels to an almost proper FALD level. As long as you sit straight on and get used to the curve i can't think of any better 1440p high hz monitor to get. Even HDR is decent and if set right in game looks at least better than SDR. I got my 27" for under £500 and at 240hz i don't need g sync as tearing is a non issue.

I just bought this monitor here in Australia , latest updated driver and all . When i would boot up battlefield it would go black and refuse to come back on, long story short it refused to run the game at 200hz or above the best I got it to run at was 165hz and this is using the display port as well. I've now sent the monitor back for a full refund , such a shame cause its what i wanted.

Nvidia or AMD graphics card? I’m literally looking at purchasing this Monitor from umart tomorrow. However I’ll be running it on a 6900XT through Display Port, so if I’m unable to utilise the 240 & 270hz refresh rate, I won’t be purchasing it. Thank you for your input.
