Intellectually gifted students tend to develop poor study habits and skills through a lack of educational challenges during their school years.

I appreciate this video, it has a great insight. I think that the word 'gifted' is lacking in depth; if you expand on it, it's just a student with a greater sense of sensitivity, prior experience, and maybe some more advanced reasoning. But all students need to be nurtured without fixed ideas of success. We can't limit students through not giving them the complexity they need; but also we can't remove the value of effort.

I think the plagiarism is something that isn't excusable, but the rest of it I completely relate to. Do you have any tips for gifted students to put more effort in on projects and actually get them done? I'm in college now and I've been so bored doing most of my homework that I nearly always turn in last minute, low effort stuff for an A or a B, but I want to actually be excited about my classes. I know one thing that helps is asking for more parameters, so I get an idea of what is great compared to just good.
