Meeting the Needs of Gifted Students | Teaching Tip

Gifted students have unique needs that are often overlooked in educational settings. We have to be familiar with the myths, research, and strategies surrounding their cognitive, emotional, and social development.
I've been sitting on this one for a while. I made it for one of my grad classes and decided I would finally publish it on this channel. Hope it is of some help to someone.
Submitted as a final project for PSYC 432G -- Gifted & Creative

I'm a parent trying to navigate how to help my gifted child. Been having a hard time finding content on how to help him. He's had "social emotional" issues at school and I believe we (teacher and us as parents) are approaching it wrong - as something that needs to be "fixed". Your video gave me a great place to start and was very information rich. Thanks for the post!

Thank you. Glad that it helped someone! I hope all goes well. Some of those websites I listed at the end also have helpful information for parents. SENGifted.org is a great resource.

Thank you, and that's awesome! Education needs more people that are knowledgeable in giftedness. My grad work is in gifted education. I plan on doing some more videos about this subject in the future.
