Triggly I have a question for you man I think I shredded too hard on my Kramer Beretta special which from what I understand is Gibson's other sister brand other than other phone Kramer and I think I shredded on it so hard like everything and it just died like I have like six or seven guitars at the moment and I've never experienced this I probably owned about 300 guitars in my lifetime I fix them and trade them and want to break them and whatever this is a first for me I was shredded on my Axe and everything just died

I had one of these. It was heavy but not crazy. It had the typical Gibson LP tone. Mine was ebony. I traded it to Guitar Center for six thousand in store credit (that turned into several nice guitars) in around 2017. At the time they appraised it at 7300.

I always loved the double cut LPs, but by the time I could afford my first Paul in 2008, Gibson had discontinued them 😢. Instead I ended up with my 2008 LP standard 60s neck flame top in root beer with the red back. Its a fantastic guitar! Has served me well for almost 20 years now. I do still have a place in my heart for those DC models though. A red DC studio with P90s is my fave. A friend had one and it had huge thick neck on it though and I hate that.

Trogly you might want to look into 10mm vintage tuning bushings for that guitar. It should take the space of the reemed hole for the tuners and still give you the original tuner post size. Stew Mac and other parts supply stores sell them.

One problem of his sig is, some of his older songs need Floyd Rose, like Love Phantom or Ultra Zone. He plays those on Music Man on recent videos if I recall correctly. His signatures with Yamaha have Floyd on it. A friend of my have one and it’s in an interesting shape with purple thunder on it.

2:18 the blue one reminds me of the charvel desolation series. I had a ton of those when somebody had found them in a warehouse and was selling them on eBay. I was picking him up for 2 to $300 depending on which model it was. I was selling them all for 4 to 500 and I thought I was making a killing but a year later after all of them had been flipped by everybody they were going for $800 to $1,000.

Oh, I love that. I almost bought a DC the other day but after playing it for a while I was disappointed because of the obvious neck dive the guitar had (I HATE neck dive) - With the upper bout on the Taka Matsumoto being so much further forward than the DC, does this fix the problem?

Actually saw the blue finished guitar in a local store. A local store ordered one for a customer, and it was being unboxed when I came in. Looking at the guitar was a humbling experience. The price was $6K or a bit more, and way above my paygrade / skill level. I didn't even ask to to try it! The guitar was worth every cent of the price. Also, I would have placed the three controls in a different pattern or gone woth 2 V and 2 T controls.

Hi--I recently stumbled across a guitar that I can't find much information on. It's a Fender Catalina YC-25H, which is marked on a crossbar (?) on the inside of the guitar. Doesn't say any country of origin, just "handcrafted" with a Fender maker's mark. The guitar is really interesting, it looks like (and maybe is) a Strat neck strapped onto a small acoustic body, and I picked it up at a secondhand shop. The pick guard reads 花子 (Hanako) which may also be specific to the model. From what I've read, the Catalina was originally crafted and sold exclusively in Japan, but everything I can find refers to dreadnaught model, whereas the one I found has a body similar to a classical shape and size. If anyone knows anything, please let me know!

Trogly I have to tell you about a "The heritage" Kalamazoo guitar I found. It is a copy of the Les Paul Artisan two pickup. It is unbelievably gorgeous gold to brown burst flametop with gold hardware and the banjo flower inlays. Fretboard so tight and dark it may be ebony. It's at Guitar center in Chicago. It is listed as "The heritage 1996 custom solid body electric guitar" in used or vintage section. Its so beautiful I must help it find a home. But it's left handed jamit. It is listed around $2.5k like the new The Heritage standards. I just find it hard to believe that it is a standard because it's so fancy. The custom "Heritage" only on the headstock's go for $4.5k and they are just a plain color custom with trap inlays. I can't find any history on Heritage guitars if they denoted the headstocks back in 1996. This could be worth $5k. None of the gold is worn off, not even on the tuners or stopbar. Still would be a great guitar for you to demo if you have a lefty friend.

That burstbucker pickup from this guitar is a custom pickup(in Japan people call it 'TAK BURSTBUCKER') and Ubukata Shinichi used this pickup for his first cherry 335 and second ebony 335, until he changed to 355 in 2006(he didn't change the pickup and used Gibson57 classic from this time). So, until before 'Eleven fire crackers' album, the sound of Ubu's guitar tone was made bt this guitar's pickup.

Also, if you want to know how big B'Z are, they've sold more albums than Guns N' Roses, had 49 consecutive number 1 singles and 25 number 1 albums.

Warrant doesn't have to be seen by suspects, just issued. Hence, if no one is there entry, no knock raids, etcetera. Just that a legal warrant exists signed off by judge. For instance, a cop can be at judge's chambers who just signed it and cops at the scene can be contacted by that cop that actionable warrant exists and can immediately act. Just filling in a subtle nuance so people don't get tangled by misinformation. The warrant can be brought over by car in time, or not. You can imagine that one thing is cops will not lie if a warrant exists or not because if they do, it puts them in the cross hairs of the court. Cops will let their ego and hubris rule over suspects... but that stops when going against the actual court.

I had no idea Gibson made a double cut with a larger upper horn. I hate the way a normal Les Paul hangs on a strap. I'm sure the larger upper horn on the Tak is really nice when standing.

Your demo playing has definitely gotten better over the years. Or maybe the guitar is so good it just MADE you sound great.

@ 04:20 - I don't usually give 2 shits about fretboard inlays, but my god these inlays are beautiful, and probably the best I've ever taken the time to notice 😆👍

I think it would look better if they had a special inlay (like Tak's signature or the Gibson diamond inlay) on the headstock instead of his full name going across it in a generic Word 97' script font. it also looks off center

Not surprised to see the better penmanship, lol. That is VERY important in Japanese culture. Look up the pen shops in Japan..it's insane how much a good pen is revered. People are willing to pay BIG $ for a customized pen. They can be as expensive as a professional musical instrument and thought of as a professional instrument.
