    that guitar but with a 3 or 5A Maple top and burst finish would just be a dream... although I do like the black look, the classic Les Paul is translucent!

    Nice demo of a Great Guitar. Got to be one of the all time coolest guitars ever. I had one years ago which was used , battered n bruised before I got it and it cost me peanuts . Now? Astronomical! Should have kept it , even with the sawdust falling off it !

    I agree. I got mine last week in alpine white, and I've been playing nonstop ever since. Best part, it cost a lot less than the gibson version and it still sounds the same.

    I checked these new custom shops black beauty and didn't fit in the neck is too rounded for my taste great sounding though. My 1997 Gibson Les Paul standard felt like 60s tapered neck compared to the music shop custom shop black beauty that I've played. I played both guitars which share same pickups and didn't see that much of a difference to be honest and bought my '97 for $1500 fraction of the price these guitars cost these days.
