    I saw the person complaining that it worked only for a year, but I would still consider it a deal as being better than having to go to a laundromat even in your own building. I think a conservative estimate of $5/week to do a load of laundry adds up to $260/year. You still will have a saving if you have to buy a new one every year, plus the convenience. It does require more attention than a traditional "set-it-and-forget-it" washer/dryer but the convenience, space and efficiency of this is worth is. I am considering converting a shuttle/school bus into a tiny home and was looking for a way that I could still avoid a laundromat. It isn't for everyone, but you just have to honest about what your needs really are. Thanks again for another detailed video. You answered questions I wouldn't have even thought about asking and offered great tips. P.S. you can also use nylon knee-his as filters on the end of the hose ... although you want to make sure it doesn't get stuck in your bathtup drain. ;-)

    I love my little machine similar to this one - it's saved me so much money! I air dry everything on a large gull-wing rack. I invested in a 2.5 cubic foot mini electric dryer... I can't afford to run it a lot to actually dry the clothes from wet, but I at least run them for a few minutes to fluff before I fold so they're not stiff or wrinkled. And both units are small enough they can be stashed in the closet when the landlord inspects once a year - lol.

    Hi Great instructional video! I have regular sized washer and dryer but love my portable washer and portable dryer as they dont use as much water and electricity. I find that using a nylon knee high over the drain pipe or whatever drain you use will collect all the fine lint. You would be amazed! You could also put the strainer into the nylon and it will collect the fine lint. Also I found that if I put the washer on an exercise step (found at goodwill or savers) it not only keeps machine off the floor of tub but cushions the sound. The way you connected the type of funnel was genius! I am fussy about getting all the soapy water out and will spin the soapy water out and place clothes back into clean water and agitate with softner for 6 minutes and spin again. I don't use water in spinner. It doesn't get enough soap out for me. Hope I helped someone. I have had my Panda twin tub 5 years and love it. It gets my socks and underwear very clean. Just don't overload washer or spinner and it should last.

    I have a regular sized washer and dryer in the basement but I hate making three trips down there just for a load of laundry. I hate lugging heavy laundry up and down stairs too. I think a twin tub type washer could fit in a spare shower stall I have on the main floor. Maybe I can clean the bathroom etc. and attend to one of these machines at the same time. My basement dryer just quit on me and I have a mini dryer on order and I already have a Panda Spinner. I just have to figure out which washer to buy.

    I've had & used mine for over a year & love it. I downsized, so this is perfect for me. ONE TIP, THOUGH. I am 5' 10" & have a 38 inch inseam. DO NOT wash more than 1 pair of pants at once. Otherwise your pants will end up in 4700 knots that only a sailor can undo. I find I pair of pants & 3 shirts is a perfect load size. Again, being 5' 10," my washer sits snugly on 4 cinderblocks right next to my shower.

    I'm getting mine very soon from Amazon and I can't wait. I take care of my 85yr old mother and we live in a senior citizen apartment complex with laundry facilities but the problem is all apartments/hallways are indoors and a lot of the tenants don't wear masks. I also won't go to the local laundromat either as I can't risk my mother's health. Anyhow, with that being said, when I was a kid our washer would drain in the utility sink and we kept a nylon knee high stocking on the end of the hose by a rubberband to avoid the whole clogged drainage issue. Just throw the stocking away once it was full. Works great!

  • @neoshazavala

    @neoshazavala

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes it is well worth it, so you can have a better chance of her not risking anything and best to stay home, so that’s understandable. This has definitely saved me many trips and money compared to having to take my laundry to the laundry mat every-time. Oh and that nylon idea is genius! Some other person mentioned that in the comments as well! I’ll have to give that a try to, so thank you!!(:

    I got mine because they raised the price of a load to 2 dollars, and also because I live in an apartment, and some people think that the machines are their own personal machines and can leave a load in as long as they want. When the machines break down, I am the one calling in for repairs, like if I work for the apartment building or something. I love my new machine. Forgot to add they never empty the lint traps I would empty it every time.

    In the 70's we had a Sears Kenmore washer similar to this one. We had to spin the clothes after washing them then refill the washer with fresh water to rinse, then spin before putting the clothes on the line to dry.

  • @neoshazavala

    @neoshazavala

    Ahh that’s also a great way!! I didn’t think about spin drying then putting them back in the washer with clean water rinsing and then spin drying again. So that’s a great way to! So that way the water isn’t all soapy as much and all with the old water when you do to rinse the materials again!

After some time like once to 3 times every 5-8 months my drain has really only clogged up because of when my hair falls out when I shower🥲🤣 literally all my hair. I’m amazed with how I shed. I’ve made it a habit to try and catch my hair when I run my fingers through with my hands so it won’t run down the drain. That way I don’t get much clogs that way to lol

    Almost bought this in the fall of 2018. It was $100 then it's 150 now. There's a fully automatic one that is the same price now as it was in 2018 which is the one I bought which I love. This is a little bit lighter though even though it's somewhat manual. I still like this one though it just reminds me of one I saw decades ago

    I just purchased one and your tutorial made me more confidant about my choice 😅 I live alone and don't have a way to transport a laundry machine or dryer, so my only other option would have been to purchase brand new ones that would have cost me (from my research) at least 800$... this machine cost me less then half of that and now I don't have to hand wash my clothes anymore or go to the laundramat that's 15 min away walking (which feals like an hour when I have my blankets and sweaters in there)... really is the perfect fit for me and now I actually know how to use the damn thing 😂😂

    Great video! But I found that rinsing in the spinner is definitely way better than rinsing in the wash tub. I just did a video demonstrating how effective the spinner is at rinsing with the water running in. Your hack with the funnel is great and I wanna try it, but I bought a Rinseroo and that works great too.

  • @neoshazavala

    @neoshazavala

    Great video as well(: You’re right that spinner is effective when spin drying your clothes and all with getting the suds out. I have used it on my end and my clothes were drying hard when I was doing it this way mainly. But I prefer to not use the dryer side since my tube for the water inlet in the dryer side isn’t really long enough honestly for me to use that spin dryer so maybe I just wasn’t rinsing good enough. That’s why my clothes were coming out not the way I wanted after drying. So thank you for that! So honestly whatever works best for each and every person with different living situations finds what fits them best for this machine, then that’s perfect!(: I’m glad you enjoy your Rinseroo. I’m just trying to help give my experience and ideas. That way people can either copy, or get their own ideas from seeing my idea if that makes sense (:

    You did a really good job showing this machine. I chose a little cheaper one on Amazon ( the Zeny, doesn't have a lint filter inside washer, will use pantyhose over end of drain tube and some type of filter over my tub drain), but I guess they're pretty much the same in operation. Your video was excellently detailed. I'm just hoping I don't damage my bathtub putting my machine in it. I boutht a tub mat at Dollar General so I hope that prevents any damage and helps to keep it from moving around a lot. I will have to turn my machine backwards and use it that way in my tub because my tub faces in the opposite direction of yours in the video. Wish me luck.

    Hey thank you for taking the time to give your feedback! Thank you so much 😊 That’s great! A few people have commented about the Zeny and I’ve heard it’s great to! So I’m glad you found what works for you! Yes I’d definitely recommend getting a mat that has enough thickness to hold the machine and give it enough of a space between that and the tub, that way it won’t scratch it or move as it’s running. I got mine from smiths!(: But some good decent ones are at Walmart to.

  • @givemeahappyending

    @givemeahappyending

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hey, I’m not sure if the Zeny has the same feature but when she turned this one upside down it showed that you can switch the drain pipe so that it comes out the other side. I have the same problem as you. Just did my first load today and wasn’t loving having to reach over the lids to transfer the clothes. Since I don’t have the funnel set up yet I was using a large bowl to fill it with water and with it facing away from me that wasn’t easy. Anyway, you’ve had yours for awhile now but just in case you were still dealing with the wrong side drainpipe thing I thought I’d mention the idea that you may be able to switch the drain to the other side. I’m going to pop a commando hook on mine so I have a clip to hang the drainpipe from on that side.

    I'm late to this party...but 2 things I thought I'd mention. Longevity - I bought mine in 2016....and it's still going strong!! Had a bit of hiccup with the tub not holding water, but found some videos about declogging the hose, and that showed me there's a thing inside (take off the back panel) that can be opened, and low and behold - a paperclip had gotten in there somehow!! Took it out, closed it up and no more leaking tub!! Which is good since the prices on these have skyrocketed!! My model is $100 more than when I bought it!!! But even at today's prices - at $3.50 a load to wash and dry - it doesn't take long to pay for itself!! The second thing - which I'm guessing you may have learned by now - you're using too much detergent!! Cut it down by half and you won't have to rinse so much. Instead of half the lid, try 1/4...and 1/2 the amount of dawn you're using. Since you fill the water first - add in the detergent and run it for a few seconds to get it mixed into the water before adding your clothes. One video I watched he fills it about 1/4 way, adds the detergent, then turns it on. Keeps filling it with water and lets it agitate while he adds in his clothes. A great way to make sure you don't overload the clothes and you can use only as much water as that load needs. And an extra bit that it took me about 5 years to notice - there's actually a fill line inside. Mine is just to the right side of the filter and I had to feel for the bump before I could find it. Turns out it's the same height as the ridges that go up the side. So don't fill past the ridges and you're good. :)

    First let me just say I'm not an electrician. I am a DIY guy. What you're seeing is the flash of the contact switches as a reverse polarity and restarts the motor. The electric motor can also create little Sparks with the carbon brushes as they rub against what is called the armature. This is what makes the electric motor turn it creates a circuit. The carbon brushes are like blocks of carbon they're not like a paintbrush kind of brush. If you look at a lot of electric motors including your hair dryer, and absolute darkness you will see Sparks. That is why when you go to fill up your car at the gas station you should turn off your car! There is all kinds of electrical motors in a car that could Arc and ignite fuel fumes! The Sparks that you're seeing though are generally normal for an electric motor. Now if they're really big Sparks I'd be concerned. As in Sparks you can see what the lights on!

    Oh this is the perfect explanation!! Thank you for commenting and giving some helpful advice and tips! Because that’s really good to know, that makes a lot of sense when it comes to some machines in general. I guess it’s just a scare to some because it’s around water, but knowing that and the way it’s built gives relief! So thank you 🙏🏽

    I appreciate the advice, but I’m totally okay without having a timer. So I don’t mind going and turning the knob just timing in my head when I turn it for 15 minutes and what not. And again I tried my best in the video to show I have had no problems with water damage. And still have not had any issues doing it the way I’ve done. I respect others opinions of course(: But I am happy with how I’m and have been doing it.

    If you drape the extension cord over the shower curtain rod, it would help keep the cords out of the way and safe.

    Thank you so much!! It’s just the way my bathroom is angled it makes it a bit much difficult because the cord I have is way long, so for me I just keep it on the floor and out the way on the side of the toilet, because of how my bathroom is and all. But It’s okay cause I don’t use the toilet while I do my laundry, and if I need to it’s totally okay to turn the machine off whenever and unplug it for a sec(; that way I don’t risk the cord falling or having to wrap it around each time to

    I would definitely set your machine up on a plastic step stool so it's up off the bottom of the tub. Just one of those short ones that kids stand on to reach the sink. Then there is no worries about the machine or cord in contact with water in bottom of tub.

  • @neoshazavala

    I’ve honestly still been using the mat I have that set on the bottom of it so it never scratches or scrapes the tub. It’s still been doing just fine after over 2 years now. I make sure to not get the cord wet. It’s all good(: Thank you for the suggestion though

    For those that don't know, the drain in your tub tends to get stuff wrapped around that little cross in the drain. A great way to get that out is just a pair of tweezers and you just reach down there and start pinching and pulling and you'll find stuff coming out. Another cool you can get is at harbor freight I think it's called a hemostat in the medical field but it's like tweezers that lock and they have a little handle on them to put your fingers through. There are a couple dollars at harbor freight and regular tweezers you can get the Dollar tree for I think a dollar! But seriously you can clear that drain by reaching down with tweezers on either side and just try see if there's any stuff in there by just pinching and pulling. One time I pulled out a 6-inch hairball from my wife. I was amazed she wasn't bald! 🤣🤣🤣 Got rid of the hairball and the wife! Problem solved!

    Oh that is awesome!! Lol again thank you for your kind words and helpful tips! I have this long hair stick, can’t think of the name for some reason right now😂🤦🏽‍♀️ But yeah, I actually love it cause it grips hair like no other and depending on your drain size, length, shape , with it, in mine you can grab hair really well!! It’s helped my sinks and tub so much!!! I hope to get my computer to edit my videos real soon so I can post an update and show this hair collector as well! But tweezers sound like a great idea!! It’s amazing how much people’s heads can shed without them looking any different 🥲🤣😂

    I love my portable washing machine! This one is also super awesome! I found an issue that all of these machines have, due to the powerful rotation, your laundry will get tangled up into a large knot during the washing cycle. Your clothing, sheets, and towels will be twisted around each other the entire time and that’s actually not cleaning anything since your laundry detergent works on agitation. Your laundry is not agitating being swirled around in a knotted up, tangled mess...BUT I found a solution to this problem and posted a video on how to fix it! Check it out. Your laundry will be cleaner and you won’t have to untangle a huge mess every time!
