She's damn right, we need organizations as big as space agencies but for the oceans, as much as I am fascinated by the space, direct study of exobiology is still far out of our reach, while the sea is full of life and biological compounds that we aren't even aware of, there might by some miracle cure or even the secret to a very long life down there, apart from thousands of unknown and fascinating creatures!

It was possibly about getting the funding for the project - the boat with the hoist, the manufacture of the lure and the machine with the lights and the camera to all come together and all the people needed. Only persistence works many times when a researcher needs a project funded. I am sure this cost a pretty penny but was well worth it!

Why cant all ships be fitted with mapping ability. We could map the ocean in a year from ships just going about there normal journeys. Also, im sure the military already mapped the ocean. Also..why cant a billionare invest like elon musk..but in ocean exploration! ..just as interesting as space exploration

@@martybaum3852 Don't say the scientific name bro, it's so cringe. That's like calling a humpback whale a megaptera. Please, jus don't.

mzischkau evolution is real. God isn’t real. The world is round. We evolved from chimps. Science explains everything. You’re unintelligent for being in denial 😁

JXSH98 Evolution and God are not exclusionary. That’s a very narrow minded view.
