It can indeed be challenging for individuals to navigate their identity in a world that may not always be accepting or understanding. Let us strive for a more inclusive and compassionate society where diversity is celebrated.

Wasn't he wonderful? Hollywood can't be the same with all the greats gone :( It's also a shame they don't care more about preserving their old homes :( so many have been torn down or rehabbed into nothing like they once were. California should have been more strict on preserving our actors homes. They were every bit American treasures as those who had them built or bought them. Thank God there are at least some film and photographs of them. But we have lost sooooo many and could never afford to replace today. :(

I was living in LA with my parents in the late 70s, as a teenager, having moved there from the UK not long before.. One day the phone rang and my father picked it up and spoke some time. He then called me and said that someone wanted to speak to me. I said hello? And the voice on the other end said "it's Rock". He asked me if I liked school and did I like living in LA?. Other than that, I really don't remember much else. But I do remember how nice he was. Why he called, I don't know and I cannot ask my father about it, because he has passed.

…of course I knew of the name: Rock Hudson. Being born in the late sixties however, I wasn’t brought up with his films as say someone who’s got ten or more years on me. I’m also not a huge movie guy with the exception of the usual big films. I found a channel within Comcast’s programming called ScreenPix. Of the categorized channels there’s Westerns. A few weeks back I flipped it on and the film in progress showed some carpetbagger trying to snooker one Col. James Langdon into selling his property to him. After (literally) flipping the guy into his buggy and after telling him off, I sat there thinking…”who the hell is that guy?” Turns out it was the Rock and I watched the rest of the movie. Immediately I was hooked. He and Duke in the same film. What’s not to like? He played Langdon expertly I thought. In all my years I’ve not ever heard of this film. Now, it’s my favorite!

I can understand you not being all that familiar with his films back in the 70`s and into the 1980`s especially since by that time he wasn`t really doing any big movies anymore. He was mainly doing television movies, tv miniseries and of course his popular tv show `McMillan and Wife" which aired during the majority of the 1970`s... He was such a talented actor and I`m not surprised he was one of the few major Hollywood stars that also found success on television .

His smile and laugh was so irresistable that I bet anyone any age could watch that nowadays and be charmed despite themselves.
I've never seen this whole interview before! Thank you for uploading!
Rock Hudson was so hot ! And that voice.... He seemed so kind, too.

From what I know regarding his voice is when he had a very bad cold, sore throat etc., he went out to the mountains and yelled as high as he could to make his voice deep and it sure did work his voice was beautiful
Gorgeous man!! May he rest in peace
Fans of his, did you like his mustache? He was one of very few who could rock the 'stash.

Morocco another SHITHOLE.
No matter what we do and what choices we make in this life there will always be people who judge us. It is what it is and Rock was a truly handsome man with that height and voice, you don't see many good looking men like that. Too bad he had to live his life to please others. RIP.
I grew up in the 70’s with McMillin and wife…I could tell he was kind through his character. I knew he was famous but didn’t see any of his movies until cable came along . It was so sad to see him when he passed…a tragedy. RIP Rock, you are one of a kind!❤️🙏
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and expressing empathy towards Mr. Hudson. It can indeed be challenging for individuals to navigate their identity in a world that may not always be accepting or understanding. It's important to remember that everyone deserves love, support, and respect as they embrace who they truly are. Let us strive for a more inclusive and compassionate society where diversity is celebrated.
He was captivating.
What an enchanting man, wow
Beautiful loving caring. Gentleman. ,,,❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My mother ran into (literally) Rock walking into Rexall Drug (I’m dating myself here) store on Beverly and La Cienega and she told me he was the most beautiful man she had ever seen and wonderfully nice. I love Rock Hudson what a tragic loss who left an incredible body of work for the world to see hopefully for generations to come. ❤❤ rip

Having seen him in person as well, your Mom was correct...absolutely stunningly handsome!
He's so underrated in this movie. Everyone talks about James Dean in it but Rock Hudson was much better imo. Fantastic chemistry with Liz Taylor.
" when I'm 70" 😢
If "dreamy" had a face, this would be it.
I love His movies but more so…I absolutely adore HIM. He was truly irreplaceable and magnificent in every way
Rest in peace Rock, you were gorgeous omg, so sexy
From the beginning I saw his frustration..”do you want me put the glass down? I’ll put the glass down” slams the cup down and “arms folded” he didn’t like that! 🤭 0:29
What a handsome man!! Dang!!
When I was young and watched Rock Hudson movies with my mom, I thought he was the most handsome man ever! I fell in love with him.
He views himself as a simple man but he had radar and an awareness of how people negotiate through life.
Rock looks great here - thanks for this.
A movie should be made about him…It’s ashame of what him to him. His death drew so much controversy…All because of the illness that he had succumbed too. R.I.P Rock Hudson

I agree and I think Pedro Pascal should play him.
He is so daddy it hurts
Jimmy was George's boy! It broke his heart when he died. He was going through the stages of grief.
Rest In Peace Mr. Hudson. God Bless And Amen * * *
I saw the "Great" Rock in "Giant" movie ....he made a good job.👍...It was "brilliant" 🌟
HE WAS SON HANDSOME. ONE OF MY TOP 5 LEADING MEN.
"Rock, just to start off, before you, well uhm...would you put the glass down?" "D´you love me to put the glass down?" *puts the glass down* "That´s very good. Well done."

I haven’t ever seen this. Thank you!
Thk u for this interview
So this was recorded a year before his illness. How sad.
C'est dommage car je ne comprends pas tout, mais il a l'air d'être très sincère dans ses réponses.
Great voice, they say it was high pitched and nasally before he got to Hollywood, but I can’t imagine that.

Excellent stories from Rock.
I thought Rock Hudson was a very thoughtful person I cannot believe how people treated him after his death he did not deserve that he's a lot like Sam Elliott I only wish I could have met him may he rest in peace
His biggest laugh was “ knowing what he’d look like at70 because he was 50 and looked exactly how they made him look at middle age in Giant.sad irony.
Rock was 30/31 when he filmed "Giant".
He was the 1st to reveal to the world that he had AIDS. Elizabeth Taylor was the 1st person to step up to the plate & began the 1st AIDS Foundation which took a lot of GUTS back then!!!! ❤😂✌️💥
Funny those comments about acting `old`. Sadly, so true. Arthritis..makes it hard to sit down, get up (occasionally) Amazing how much we have in common..Never thought about it until Hudson points it out (via the `age` belt that Stevens gave him to wear)
RIP Rock 💗
Sadly he never made it to his seventies or even more sadly his sixties.

Rock Hudson parecia ser simpático 😊
So, this interview is from 1982?
Also it was too bad the way they treated him and chase him in the end of his life
…of course I knew of the name: Rock Hudson.

Whenever he coughed I thought “ was that the start of the virus and he didn’t know? In this interview, I think I read “1982” on the clapperboard(what the hold for takes and clap them) he found out he had aids in 1984
