I’ve seen pumpkin spiders made from real pumpkins before but never on this scale or carved from foam blocks! Another creative and revolutionary idea! You just keep raising the bar, dude! Whenever I think I’ve seen the best you’ve got, you prove that you’re still just getting started! Your vision and work are always impeccable! This pumpkin spider looks so wicked and threatening. You have a lot of catching up to do with my videos lol And thank you for purchasing my book! That’s so great that you’re getting it for your friend and it does help a lot anytime anyone buys my book. When you get it and if you do like it, it would help so much if you could leave an Amazon review.

That turned out really well - I am assuming water on the titebond foam and smoothing trick would also work with nitryl/vinyl gloves instead of latex? I love the colour scheme and the stem really sells the spider/pumpkin hybrid. Hmmmm, if I do a mad scientist theme in the future, this would definitely fit in.

The paint I used (exterior latex paint) weatherproofs the spider. That’s all you need

I don’t actually secure it. It just rests on top of the pvc base

Did you use anything to glue the body to the pipes?

❤ it. I just made your last spider.. well kinda i put my own twist in it. I cut a piece of 2x4 maybe 4 inches (cut 2 of them) and ziptied it to the frame you showed us and then used heavy duty velcro to attach the spider on. That way next year i can just re-ziptie the blocks back on and use him again! I wanted him to come apart for easy storage so i didnt wanna use foam spray. I just happened to have some old wood laying around so used that. And its just a small piece so if i hung it from the side of the house he wouldnt get to heavy from soaking up rain water. 😀 how did u attach the body to the frame of this one?
