That Bolder Opal came out looking very nice! They would make some really unique belt buckles, like plenty of guys wear here in Texas. Especially during rodeos! Gotta have your western shirt, jeans, belt buckle, cowboy boots and hat!

Reminds me of the time I took hammer to my moms limestone rockery, looking for fossils.....I got a fair bit of gravel, a nice fish fossil and a thick ear from my mom..........The good times! Nice one lads.

You blokes are all over it. Purchasing mines for a few bucks and making money on it. Searching through the old diggings and finding useful opal that has been left behind. Now this, buying a few buckets of rough and finding a profit amongst them. Tell you what, I wouldnt mind throwing some money in your direction in a couple of months and seeing what transpires if you like.

Hell yeah boys. That's the way to do it. The fact that ya know how to cut nice stones from your material gives you a great advantage if you're buying parcels like this. Even small stones are full of promise ive noticed. And folks love buying 1ct. Ringstones because they sit in a more affordable price range for the average hobby jeweler. Imo 30 minutes per stone, sell the stone for 50 bucks usd is a pretty decent hourly wage. All depends on what bills you gotta pay though! Always love to see you guys win! Keep it up and be safe out there! ❤

You probably would get you money back selling the black potch for doublets. Any color is a bonus. TY for the video guys!

Some of that boulder opal has a kryptonite feel too it, looks awesome :)

You gents are living my dream but what you do isn't easy work. You guys work your a$$es off. Good on ya! I hope you sell some of that huge black potch. It's really difficult to find black potch that large and it's all worth money. Great job on the video, looked very professional.

Seems like it's bloody good money in opals so long as you put some hard yakka in, and determination. Patience goes a long way also haha. Great job guys, worked out to be a decent payday in the "lucky dip" haha. Best of luck with the mine, hitting the motherload one day, future opal and life en devours. Super chilled community / lifestyle in the "Sticks". Pretty untamed area as a whole in those parts of the country, which is great for you guys haha :)

With the hammers we are really only breaking away the excess ironstone. All of the goo stuff with potential get sliced. Would love to record more of the process for you guys though had a lot to get done, next time tho!

Not the worst idea! Should probably have them on next time though it’s pretty low risk not really any chips flinging off while we where doing it.

This is a really cool channel to find! I recently got married and the engagement ring I got her was an opal. All the research I did got me really into opal. I still don't have a ring yet, I might get one from the Etsy store because the story would be cool getting it from people I saw on youtube. I'll be watching to keep track of progress. Who knows: Maybe you'll find some incredible opal and i'll get to buy my wife a new stone. 😁

Love the Channel! Quality of the videos is one of the best iv'e ever seen almost Discovery Channel like.
