$15,000 Opal Chunks Found After Digging 40ft Mineshaft!

The Young Guns finally are back together mining in White Cliffs!
With the end of the season quickly approaching and the $2000 Opal mine Noah and Jaymin purchased still not set up, JC is determined to put in some hard work to get it ready for next season!
When mining underground it is always best to have an entry and an exit to a mine. This means clearing out shafts dug over 100 years ago and connecting them up underground.
The machinery JC is using to empty the dirt from the mine is called a windlass. The hardest part of mining this way is one must constantly climb the ladders up and down and fish for the buckets to pull them from the mine.
It’s slow going but after a few days the shaft is cleared and Jc is able to make his way into the mine to where Jaymin and Noah are working!
The mine produces and we uncover a small haul of big material full of pastel colours!
It looks like we are onto a solid area here with this mine and need to put in a lot more work to find out if this is the million dollar claim!

@@QIKUGAMES-QIKU $2k total for that mine. You can peg a claim for around $300 though we wanted this one that had work already done. Machinery obviously is extra.
Guys don't forget to buy a extended Black light to run a few walks through your shafts... I promise you that you guys will find lots of Opal viens in the walls alone.

I have been in love with opal all my life and until now I did not know that black lighting Australian opal would make it Flores. And to see it hold that glow. Wow. I need a black light to check my specimens. Thanks guys. You have earned my subscription
Aw yeah! I operate a small underground gold mine but we're all drill-and-blast with diesel equipment. Totally different technology; it's great to see all the specialized gear that has been developed for the opal fields.

I remember visiting the Australia Pavilion many times during the 1982 World’s Fair in Knoxville, Tennessee USA to see their opal display. Beautiful!

Love how yall are using the black light to find the opals! We have head lights that have them but into them now! Yall should look into them as the fit right on your helmets! They work great for night fishing it what i mainly use it for.

I love how every time I see one and you put the black light on it... It's definitely there. Excellent strategy for efficiency... But I have to stress opal can hide inside chunks of rock you guys have tossed out a few times. So while you're hitting good... I know you've actually got much better... Excellent mine guys. Mostly just knowledge from my father as to what was found in the area. As well as what we find on the surface and the info provided from the miner who was in it before (though that isn’t usually too reliable 😂)

What a stupid comment. Who gets to prospect on a claim before they buy it to see if it’s profitable or not? All claims are bought with optimism

@@ConnorsComedyClipsOffical sorry but this is quite common in white cliffs, before purchasing you can go check out the claim from the surface see what opal has been missed in the old dumps. This generally give you an idea of if there was colour being found. In most cases if the miner is still around they will generally take you underground for a look as well. I also recently spent some time in qld and we walked over prospective areas and one of the key things you are looking for there is alluvial Boulder opal on the surface. Optimism is always good to have when mining but there is signs you can look for to improve your chances.
