@@wlhampton they prefer to live outside as it gives them a place to go mental and their guardian nature but mine stays in house like a family dog it wouldn’t be fair for a CC puppy to see a lab chilling inside with us, but our back door pretty much stays open so she can come get water when she pleases if she is chilling in the sun or something, when it’s training time door shuts so I have her full attention as she’s only a puppy, trying to get her to do some obedience training by a road so there is a major distraction but she’s scared of cars at the minute but she’s becoming more confident, she will happily do “sit” near distractions but nothing else just yet but she’s such a fast learner I reckon 2 weeks maximum and she will have full focus, she’s only 9 weeks and already learnt 6 commands. Had her about 6 days

Thanks for these videos! I just got my blue cane Corso about 5 days ago and she's been doing great with being only 12 weeks doing the crate training while away at work. Only went 1 time in the crate and goes on the pads and backyard, just using the pads until she gets all her shots. So far she knows sit, come and stay/down pretty good. She's so smart and will literally sit next to me while I'm doing dishes🥹 I can't wait til she gets a little bit bigger and we do some training classes together just to make extra sure we are on track🤘💖

She’s AMAZING! No way I’d let her go- Ive been in LOOOOVEEEE since day one. We are inseparable. Took three hours to get her in the house the first day she had never been inside😢 She was definitely wild and I was very aware of the time commitment and work of what I was getting into fo sho. Fast forward- we have worked together really hard for her confidence, socialization, behavior (and she was sick and underweight) She’s my healthy black n brown brindle big girl now! ❤ I’ve noticed now that she’s a bit over a year she’s in a testing “stubborn teenager” phase a bit lately , which has been comical-attitude don’t work with me. So smart, gentle, well behaved with kids, other dogs, animals, people (we are out and about twice a day seven days a week to instill that)- Only issue we are working on is random jumping once in awhile … gets excited and wants to wrestle and play - not alot, but she’s too big for all that period! So it’s time to phase into a prong finally so the correction is more prominent. Her neck getting to thicccc she’s says martingale what? Lol-Considering all the problems I thought I was going to have…. I thought I saved her, but she saved me! Thanks so much for askin about us! @MoneyBoyYB and @AlexJarrodLayton 😊 much love!

Training my pup since 3 months. An aggressive, VERY DOMINANT Cane Corso... lays flat on its back when held, super calm. BUT WOW, my older CC pup (11 months) was super laid back and calm before being around hiim.. now when when we go outside.. this 3 month old leads the charge on anyone that walks too close and now I have to train both for MORE impulse control.

  • @jayJ857

Everything in this video describes my new 6 month old puppy. Super sweet but I have A LOT of work to do. I've had her for 2 weeks and the first week was getting her to go potty outside and learn her name. By the weekend she was doing good with going potty outside, would come when i called her name, learned sit and was doing good with short crating periods. She has severe separation anxiety so i left her with my aunt overnight who has of her brothers because I had to work a double and its like she regressed overnight. Went back to going inside the house, wouldn't come when I called, and now she's starting to recoil when I give her commands. Back to square 1 but i know she can do it. One thing having her has shown me way too many dog owners do not properly train their animals. Now when I see videos of dogs whos don't listen or do things theyre not supposed to I don't find it funny. Now to me it shows bad ownership and because of how big she's going to get I know I can't allow that.

The man is right about behaviors. At 150 plus good behavior is everything. Believe me I am a mom of a year old 120 pound CC which vet said would be 150. Good enough weight for me. Advice train train and then train more. Make sure dog knows your mama or papa. Just like kids they need direction. I wish this guy was my trainer when I needed a good one.

I recently got a Cane Corso she's 4-month-old right now and I can honestly say that I've never had a dog like her I'm not in beginner whatsoever I've had a lot of working dogs etc etc. she is so different from all of them, I've never had an issue with a dog coming to recall but she just sometimtes so interested in the world around her. She's incredibly smart like she kind of scares me with how smart she is I asked her not to walk on something one day and I just pointed to it and said be careful it was just water but she didn't walk on it she walked around it, right behind me. She is just one of a kind I see why people love them though, she's very very goofy and sweet and silly and my lab will bark about silly little things outside where she takes her time to actually really watch the surroundings and watch for danger.

I have a 6 year old Cane Corso who was def the pick of the litter at 155lbs and very little body fat and although I’ve had big dogs before, I’ve never had formal training so other than some utube videos I basically trained him with trial and error while he was young but I realized when he started getting older that I definitely had to constantly assert myself as the alpha male in our relationship cuz unlike a blk lab, Cane Corsos will constantly try you but as long as you’re consistent with your boundaries with them they will always come around to the realization that you are the Alpha male and that’s when they will really come to not only obey you but trust you which makes it easier for them to be trained and they naturally love to protect so if your training them to protect, let’s say your young children, the Cane Corso will undoubtedly put himself in harms way before they will let the protected be harmed.

@@tcu6832 the procedure hurts but they’re perfectly fine afterwards. Docking (cutting the tail short) is kind of a good thing though because a lot of cane corsos specifically, wag their tails so hard they not only knock things over but also hurt themselves. Some of them whip their tails into walls so hard they get cuts and infections. I’m no veterinarian but I’m sure they’d get something to lessen the pain as its done anyways. Corsos have a really high pain tolerance either way to be fair

I dont leave my dog outside when gone. My CC is crate trained. It's safer and your dog isn't safe outside when gone due to digging, jumping the fence, someone letting him or her out. Where I live they steal dogs. So I leave my dog goes with me or he goes in his crate. He is a cc only 1 year old so chewing is always a problem. CC will eat your couch. They are big chewers, but I love mine so much I am paranoid about his safety. Ha ha I know he is cc suppose to protect me, but believe me it works both ways.

Do you have any information about the breeder, you seem to have seen a few dogs from them. I’m looking for a good, reputable breeder that actually cares about the dogs and not scams or backyard breeders that don’t know what they’re doing. Any recommendations would be appreciated thanks

That ear crop and tail dock looks like they did a terrible job. Ears look huge and tail looks like they left half of it. 😂

Lmao dopiest corso I've seen so far, but I know he'll get the leadership he needs. Great video to show why you should train almost any puppy day 1.

I was just recently bit by a young about 2 yrs old CC. If were not for my having a hand on his collar he was turning around to lunge for my face. I've been around the dog not alot but since he was a puppy. But as he is getting older he is becoming more aggressive. He ended up biting his owner when the owner tried to get a gold of his collar. It's a more complicated story how we got to this point but this is not the first time the dog, Loki, has spun around and jumped at the face. The first time he wasn't as sure of him self he was younger about 6 or more months ago. The owner to me seems intimidated by the dog and Loki does not respect him to listen on command wirh him. I don't ever want to see a dog have to be euthanized but this dog and his owner needs help 1) is it too late for Loki 2) the owner a young man said he tried looking for someone to help train him no one is calling him back... Before Loki actually bites someone - a child even...which is how this happened...children playing and Loki got away from his owner...I got Loki distracted and to come to me instead of the children.... is there someone local (Miami Ft Laud FL) can help them both. Loki is a beautiful brindle CC...but he is getting more aggressive and I am afraid too much for his owner.

I dont understand why people with not dog knowledge or experience always get dominant dogs. They will almost definitely be a problem later due to soft passive owners. People that could barely handle a French bulldog go and get a doberman or corso.

Sounds like the owners didn't know a thing about dogs, let alone a Cane Corso.

This is the most uninformative podcast I have ever seen on dog training. You didn't teach him a single thing, expect bombard him with a half dozen commands that he clearly didn't even understand. On top of that, this dog doesn't even understand how to walk on a leash in the heel position. This "training video" was a total waste of my time.

Prong collars should be BANNED. Pain does not equal training - causing pain and damaging the nerves in their neck so eventually they will feel nothing this is no way to train a dog ever!!! Poor puppy.

Not true! But it's ok if you dont want to use a prong collar. Large dogs like CC need a prong collar in my opinion. Mt vet recommended one to help train him. They aren't to be worn all day just for training. Says it right on the box it came in, but my dog goes with me a lot so I use it to keep him in line when around the public. Took him to Walmart with prong collar. We sat in auto repair center. He was perfect gentlemen cause he knew mama was in control. Mama is only 5 foot tall and only weighs a little more than my man does so I need that prong collar for a little extra help.
