Which biases? No one has a problem with South Africa doing the World Cup. No one has a problem with Japan doing the Olympics games. No one has a problem with Brazil doing the Olympics and the World Cup. The last European country that organised a World Cup was Russia, and people complained against them. Why people has a problem with Qatar? I don't know, but my guess goes that they have no respect for basic human rights, the slavery issue and the huge amount of bribes they did to get elected. You call what he said the truth? He said european countries should be undoing things they did millenia ago. A millenia is thousand of years. Thats ancient Greek and Roman time. Its absolute insanity to criticize europeans for those empires, which existed at the exact same time and did the exact same "unspeakable acts" as countless other NON EUROPEAN ancient empires like the ancient egyptians, persians, assyrians, babylonians, mayans, etc etc. And as for more modern history, nothing europeans did was unique in anything other than scale. Slavery has existed for thousands of years in the vast majority of human civilisations, arabs started enslaving black africans in the trans-saharan slave trade literally centuries before europeans set up the trans-atlantic slave trade, and they abolished it later too. The arab slave trade lasted over a thousand years, during which time nearly 20 million people were sold into slavery. Colonialism isn't unique to europeans people either, the arab caliphates invaded most of the middle east, north africa, and the iberian peninsula; the Ottoman Empire the middle east, north africa, the caucuses, and southeastern europe; the Mongols invaded like the entirety of Eurasia and caused the deaths of 11% of the world's population at the time; there was the Japanese Empire, I could go on and on. Not to mention the fact that Europe was the victim of slavery and colonialism from other countries, like southeastern europe was colonized by the Ottoman Empire for 500 years and its people were frequently enslaved, and the iberian peninsula was colonized by arab moors for 800 years.

Fifa gets money off the back of the tournament being held in Qatar plus the money they accepted from bribes, bribes that were proved true, and none of this money goes back to Qatar, Qatar who spent £64 billion on developing the infrastructure. Arguably Fifa make more money from this tournament than any before, especially when you consider they make money from sponsorships from the likes of McDonalds and many others. The real injustice you go on about is the west buying into energy from the middle east because the powers there do not care for their people just the same. Its not true. He said european countries should be undoing things they did millenia ago. Thats ancient Greek and Roman time. Its absolute insanity to criticize europeans for those empires, which existed at the exact same time and did the exact same "unspeakable acts" as countless other NON EUROPEAN ancient empires like the ancient egyptians, persians, mesopotamians, assyrians, babylonians, mayans, etc etc.

With the fact that Europe should repent for another 3000 years, I would be careful because it will sound like a whole. Part of Europe yes, but Europe as a whole certainly not. For example, as a central European (Slovaks, Czechs, Poles), I don't know that they were colonial and so on. I have nothing to apologize for. We as central European citizens. And secondly, I don't know what the whole world is doing. Sometimes they have some laws that you don't have to agree with, but when someone goes there, they have to respect and obey them. When they banned alcohol, it's logical, anyone who didn't expect that is a fool. The fact that they are against LGBTQI is due to their faith and laws. When you go to another country, you have to respect the laws, whatever they are. Or just don't go there and that's it. This hysteria about nothing is really over the top...

Human sacrifices were being carried out in Asia, Africa, and Latin America before Western colonisers arrived and put an end to it. Colonialism is not the problem. Every country most heavily colonised by the Westerners are today first world countries, but every country invaded, occupied and colonised by Muslims is today a backward third-world country. More Western intervention is needed, especially in the Islamic Middle East, where Qatar is not the only country in the area still practising slavery today. And Infantino is an embarrassment.

You can't expect a developing country to have everything in place and perfect systems to combat all malpractices and corruptions. I think the fifa president address it pretty well and tell what most of us people living in developing countries felt. Stop using your own standards to judge us. We're doing our very best to improve but everytime the west conveniently deny us the opportunities to become better because we're not doing it according to their "standards".
