Forget what a absolute monster he was when he was in is early 20s Most of these world class saves were made when he was a 37, 38 year old man which is phenomenal on its own but just the fact that he was able to stay not only relevant but regard as one of the best if not the best in both the 90s early 2000s and 2010 onwards is just amazing, the true GOAT.

All of those saves are from the old gigi, where he relies on anticipation and knows exactly where to stand to give himself the best possibility of saving the shot. So it's more anticipation, less acrobat. If you watch the young gigi, you'll see more acrobat and less positioning and anticipation. Conclusion: greatest goalkeeper in the history of football.

fahad salama It's still a lot more than positioning though. Some of the dives and reflexes are incredible.

Buffon è il migliore di tutti i tempi....nessuno ha mai tenuta la sua continuità....nessun portiere è stato a questi livelli per 20 anni...forse 8-9 ma non per 20....chi lo critica è solo invidioso e ignorante

Questo il motivo per cui secondo me è leggermente superiore a casillas. Iker al top era più forte,ma è durato 8 anni circa. Gigi per quasi 20 nonostante al top fosse leggermente inferiore

Definition of passion and composure
When you ask people who's the greatest player of all time, they always go for attacking players. Maradona, Pele, CR7 etc. But I always count defensive players too. Sometimes they're more influential than any of the attacking players, and Buffon, in my opinion, is simply one of the best players of all time.
