Mark Ingasson wtf they are both way better than him especially schmeical but my favourate goal keeper is cech but it doesnt mean I'm going to overrate him and call him the goat

More then 30 years watching football and never seen someone better then buffon. The most technically gifted and decisive goalkeeper i've seen. People look the last decade and don't respect his greatness. at his prime he was absolutely the best. At 17 his first match against weah, baggio and co showed what will come the next 15 years. Legend.

Unbelievable reflexes, but you can also sense the joy of being a goalkeeper in him. He was mad, dominant, fearless, athletic, instinctive. Special.

Alisson is great the new best goal keeper, prices are higher now than what they were ages ago. Jut Kepa....lol. prices never tell how good is a player, depend on the contract, the club, the year etc.....

juve paid 65M in 2001 for Gigi its mean 300M today .... after 10 years bayern paid 30M and was so big deal... but now football is so funny ... its a real comedy just u play 10 good games and ur price will be 100M Gigi not only a monster.....he's a strong mentality... 25 years at highest level ....

Absolutely great, in his few years at Parma he has more saves than Casillas, Neuer or Cech his Whole Carrer. Gianluigi Buffon is the greatest goalkeeper to ever grace a football field.

Buffon and Čech had an unparalleled consistency and peak as a gk in football history. But Buffon's peak was unreal... we knew on his debut that he'd become the greatest ever. And the fact he's still one of the best in the world at 43 while Cech was till 39, settles the debate.

Wow.. i watched almost every GK videos from Lev Yashin, until Manuel Neuer. So far this is the best !. Gigi Buffon is God of goalkeeping. Never thought Buffon was good with his feet until i saw this. Amazing! These new gen fans haven't seen and so they won't know but Prime Buffon was several levels above everyone else. Neuer and Schmeichel had legendary peaks but Cech and Buffon are two goalkeepers who outwork the best of the best in both consistency and peak. Especially, Buffon was like Khabib and other gks looked like Poirier against him.

Buffon was a fenomeno even 16 years old. If the farsopoli never happened he would’ve won the champions league 2-3x. Best goalie of the modern generation. No one has been this consistent from 16 to 40 years old.

That's the main problem that comes when a player decide to retire very late. Buffon is still playing, he is still decent, but just the shadow of his best self. Same happened to me with Totti. I got used to his late years slow speed, almost forgot how good he was during his prime. In the 90s Serie A was simply the best tournament, by far. Italian players were just amazing overall, like the goalkeepers that you named, and some of them were playing in small teams (I remember Sereni or Mazzantini, which to me were very good, and they where playing for Torino and Perugia), and every good foreign player was playing in Serie A. Amazing times. Today Serie A simply sucks in comparison.

@@Drugo987 He was a phenomen, now he's simply normal. If he stays fit and he likes what he does, it's a very good second choice for Juventus. Better than Perin for example. In the 90's also Rossi was a good keeper, very underrated.

Only by this video in his prime at Parma i can say Buffon is the greatest goalkeeper of all time, in this video he stopped Ronaldo da Lima,Weah,Roberto Baggio,Del Piero,Zidane,Nedved,Shevchenko, Totti,Vieri,Inzaghi,Batistuta,Recoba,Signori,Montella,Zamorano,Salas,etc and to think his era at Juve didn't started yet,he transfered at Juve in 2001 for 65 mln€( like 200 mln today)

It's really weird to watch a goalkeeper whose presence outshines the field players. A GK that gives you an extra safety feeling on top of your defenders. Buffon is a special GK. Only a few GKs give you that kind of feeling. There were a lot of super strong GKs when Buffon started his career, Peruzzi, Pagliuca, Taglialatela, Marchegiani, Zenga, Sebastiano Rossi, Toldo, etc. It's crazy to think that Buffon managed to separate himself from those great GKs from the get-go.

Well no mean to disrespect. Neuer played with high defense line. So he s sweeper keeper. Neuer did amazing saves in 14. Almost all teams who won the world cup has "inhuman" goalkeeper. Except maybe Brazil in 2002. (And France 18, they had Kante, and the big teams were eliminated earlier) 2006 : Buffon 2010: Casillas 2014: Neuer The rest : Fabien Barthez was decent in 98, also Claudio Taffarel in 94. Taffarel got lucky because Baggio missed.
