I get that they're trying to provide a way for people to get tattoos without experiencing a lot of pain. Let's face it: tattoos hurt. But this price point makes it unattainable for so many people and theres a much higher risk with getting put under. If pain management and making clients comfortable is the goal, I wonder what else they're doing to make clients comfortable who CAN'T afford 30k? I had an artist offer me lidocaine spray when she noticed I was struggling a bit with my thigh piece and it made a HUGE difference and I appreciated her so much for that. Are they offering things like that for their non-anesthesia clients to make them comfortable? Because right now it just sounds like a big sales pitch or like they're just trying to upsell a service

Yeah it’s meant for people who really want a tattoo but don’t want the pain and have a ton of money. A lot of artists do have numbing cream or lidocaine but not all do since most ways of reducing pain makes the tattoo worse or harder

Though it is more accessible the price before was 100k so 30k is pretty great progress

Was wondering if in certain cases what about instead of GA, someone could get a nerve block and still be awake when getting their tattoo. With not as much knowledge on numb limbs(lol) I can already picture some possible limitations like 1) if the tattoo session needs to be longer 2) the location of the tattoo 3) pain of the injection 4)some people would be weirded out by the feeling of being numb. But it seems like if it could be done, it may be a cheaper alternative, and there are reversal agents that could be given to bring feeling back right away when the tattoo would be completed. Not sure if it would make it 'safer' or not.

Regional anesthesia (nerve blocks) have significant limitations in the application of tattoo’s and anesthesia. It limits the duration of working time depending on what you use to block the nerves., it also affects motor function and it limits this tattooing to extremities for the most part. There are blocks out there that can block sensation on the torso but deep sedation general anesthesia in my opinion allows more flexibility for this type of situation. Length of time needed for the tattooing can be variable and that’s a big hinderance when using a block. Just my opinion having done anesthesia for the last 8 yrs.

How much extra would this be on top of the tatoo itself? Also, the longer a person is under rhe more of a chance of having complications. I wouldnt see ot be very safe to do an 8-10 hour tatoo under anesthesia.

$30,000! Hell no. I've had to pay my anaesthesia bill from surgery and it was less than $5,009. There won't be that many people other than celebrities that can get this. There isn't much difference in $30 grand and $1000 grand for regular people.

@dwaynethibeault8868 no doubt. But this rich person and celebrity status money. This isn't for your every day man. Still love the idea and would do it if money weren't an issue. But it takes me a year to save up for a tattoo in this crazy market. 30k is what I make in 10 months.

You can finish a full back piece in one day and feel like nothing happened. Super convenient for people that travel to get tattooed. You get to save all the money in traveling 6 times to finish a project like a back piece and also the headache of the pain and long hours!

There are those out there that are charging 100,000. I think that’s a bit much but in the end it up to the client.

And tjenlast thing injave to say is notaky peoplenwant two ot three different artists wirkong on a single piece. I could see javing mulriple artists doing tjere own dection but working on one piece would t work really. This is why they need to have tatoos themselves so they know how they work.

@@giankarletattoos I dont think these guys would kill someone, they seem very competent! However they do say themselves that there's always a risk with any procedure. People have unfortunately died from having all sorts of cosmetic procedures such as Botox. Which would similarly be considered safe. If there's a medical need for someone to have anesthesia to be tattooed then I would support them in doing so, but otherwise I would see it as unnecessary. Ultimately I just worry that when something like this gets popular, we could start to see cut price clinics around the world where the standard of healthcare will be reduced; similarly to the plastic surgery industry.

I would feel better if the doctors had tattoos themselves otherwise they wont have the knowledge of tatooi g itself. I also wouldn't get tattooed or pierced by someone that has never had either. They need to know the process personally.

The anesthesiologist isn’t doing the tattoo just the knocking out. It’s like saying you want them to have open heart surgery so they know what it’s like
