I can usually tolerate the wait, but I'm getting pretty anxious for Retro Duke, Scarlet, and Recondo!

Many have said that, I just thought it was too good a sculpt to not use.

Looking forward to meeting you this weekend at Joefest. Quick question about Joefest, if you go early in the day, can you leave and return in the same day without paying twice. My concern is that I want to be there when doors open at 10 am Saturday morning, planning to spend about three-ish hours. However, I would like to participate in the lobby swap (figure buy, sell & trade) at 8 pm. YoJoe

Great review Punk. I didn't order him yet. He looks great, but I was hoping they'd have fixed some of the issues from the TF one. I don't know why I thought they might. *sigh*

You gotta love the retro collection where the G.I. Joe logo is Red, White and Blue, the Classified logo being all white bothers me. Them fixing the Cardbacks is great, I like them showing all the accessories but that multilingual file card is such a piece of shit, and the last of cross-sell on the back really takes away from the retro vibe. What I do notice is that the weapons and accessories are always more sturdier and made so much better (maybe not the knife) so I don’t understand why the Classified ones are so gummy. This is well worth the wait though, so excited for Scarlett and Duke though, I hope they give Rock N Roll, Stalker, Flint, Hawk (Colonel version) the retro treatment. Lastly, it is always. I’ve to have a side piece!

Definitely like Recondo (has black hair and a black handlebar moustache).

The think about him is that in tiger force he was hot and sold out in the beginning but eventually became a peg warmer but its okay. I have him preordered but I might wait it out on him because I'm sort of excited for other figures🎉

Those are the stands/flight stands that come with the Mezco figures.

The knife looks like a Kukri. The superstition, ritual, surrounding the knife is if you unsheathe it you can't resheathe it unless it draws blood, which if not that of your enemy, then your own, so don't take it out unless your sure. The rife is a M-14 with a slightly modified EBR, Sage International chassis, including an extended mag well. The only reason to wrap a weapon as far as I know is to break up it's silhouette, & absorb sweat in the hot humid jungle. A pre camo painting measure, but with moisture absorbing slip resistance. Not quite full ghillie. Recondo looks like he could be the doppelganger for Blaine, if you just get him a Gridiron M-134 mini gun with ammo back pack. Tiger Force looked tacky & cheese back when it first came out & it didn't get better on the reboot.

Do we have a Footloose yet?

I am really liking these retro figures. Hasbro needs to go deep in this line. Recondo looks really cool. Good video sir.

The blade is a Kukri knife, commonly used by the Gurkhas in the British Army. I think the rifles are taped to break up the horizontal profile of the weapon amongst the trees and bush, and so camouflage it better. I grew up with Action Force and Recondo was my first O-ring GI Joe figure. The first day I had him, I tried to put the backpack grip in his right hand and broke the thumb. Oh how the tears flowed that day!

Lawrence, excellent video and review. The knife is a Gurkha Kukri. I’m sure that Recondo would have obtained the Kukri from a Gurkha whilst serving in South East Asia.

I wish they stuck with the other type torso articulation. Less range but you don’t have to worry about the looseness.

If you don’t want to remove the tiger stripes you can use the legs from TF Outback (I found a bunch of $5 ones at Ross to customize with) as it is regular camo and not tiger camo. I used the extra Kamakura head instead of Snowjob because he looks the most like me.

Other toy collectors don't share your sentiment. These are a throwback to the original GIJoe line. The classified series, in most cases, are different figures all together. This kinda makes you look bad.

The term is "mutually exclusive." The classified series isn't reto, and the retro isn't numbered.
