Love the demo, just received my bird back from the shop after a dual EIS install. Thank you for demonstrating the downloading of the data! And like I said in your first 275 video, get that turn coordinator replaced… 😁

Cool, does Garmin Pilot also show those engine graphs when connected to a G3X and associated engine sensors? Also are those GI 275 units all physically the same. I.e. if you buy the EIS version does it also have all the screens of the MFD version of do they come preconfigured with different software? Tempted to use one as a backup instrument even though they are a fair bit more costly compared to a G5, they make up for it in functionality of course.

Jan, Yes, the G3X is capable of this functionality. The 275 EIS and MFD are the same part number. The ADAHRS/ADAHRS+AP units are different. In experimental applications, one could have the MFD and EIS pages on the same instrument, however in certified aircraft if the instrument is going to be used as the primary instrument then it must be EIS only. If you have a G3X, the G5 is still a better option when it comes to functionality with the G3X system for reasons we explained in another video. Thanks for watching.

Can you tap on the MP\RPM and make it bigger like the other readings?

That's a sweet Cherokee 6, y'all should get some speed mods on her to make her fly faster

Can you use a Garmin EIS but display it on the G3X instead of the GI275?

For the OEM gages and backup instruments the EIS STC does require the removal?

No, removal is not mandatory but some instruments have sensors that can't be hooked up to more than one instrument such as oil temp.

Cool unit, but placing the control knob on the left instead of the right is an ergonomics fail. Most pilots fly with their left hand on the yoke and use their right hand to manipulate the avionics.

really curious what the MAP issue was. Looking forward to diagnosing an engine with the 275.

Probably a faulty sensor or contact, if the factory MAP sensor is reading correctly.

We put a snubber in and that fixed the issue.

Snubber valve was my guess. Pretty common.

Why did the owner decide on a second GI-275 EIS, that appears mid way through the video?

Good catch!, The bottom EIS is actually a newly installed MFD, This instrument can be used to show flight and engine timers and max temperatures, the MFD had to be further configured to only show these items.

Camera view is not the best. Maybe a closer camera view will help. Sorry.
