I'm Excited For This Year's Halloween Horror Nights

There’s always a tweet where a fan ask John Murray if there was going to be a returning haunted house and John Murdy confirmed that they will not be house repeats this year that’s what got me pumped up so we should expect all haunted houses to be brand new. Lastly, I’m also praying and keeping my fingers crossed that one of the top dogs IP that will make it to this year and future years are scream,terrifer,conjuring universe, or IT chapter 1 & 2 will make its debut to HHN this year. I am hoping that ghostbusters makes its comeback . Unfortunately I have been hearing rumors that FNAF might not appear this years according to inside sources. I feel like it may not work as a maze or it may be hard for the scare performers to put on the costumes.

They tried doing 'Scream' back in 2015. They had the House all built and everything. Problem is, the people at Universal and the people who owned the rights to the 'Scream' franchise came to a disagreement: The people at Universal wanted the House to of course be based around the movies, particularly the first one, but the people who owned the franchise decided that they wanted the House to instead be based around the 'Scream' TV show which was airing on MTV at the time and which featured a completely different killer wearing a completely different mask. The two sides couldn't come to a compromise, and so the idea was scrapped, and the House was converted into 'The Purge' at the last second by spray painting graffiti on the walls and changing the scare actors from Ghostfaces into Purgers. They could always try again this year or future years, though, since the show has long since gone off the air. As for the 'It' films, while they would be perfect for a House, there's a BIG hurdle in the form of getting Stephen King to grant permission to do it. He's known for not being terribly fond of Haunted House attractions being based around his works. Universal was able to pull off their 'The Shining' House in 2017, sure, but that's because it was directly based off of Stanley Kubrick's film which departs from King's book in several ways and which King doesn't like being associated with anyway.

John Murdy has referenced Alice in Wonderland a couple times! Hoping an original wonderland maze comes true! Also, I’m tired of Horrors of Blumhouse. Just give us their own individual mazes

I don't see horrors of Blum coming back. I think Megan and Freddy's would've been last year if at all. Maybe their new movie has a chance

Nice video keep up the great content and updates for HHN. I am hoping that Friday the 13th and nightmare on elm street will return as a standalone maze

I hope they bring back the hyper violent mazes for horror nights and put some balls back in the event lol Hostel, The Thing, Saw, Alice Cooper were all metal af

I feel if we’re getting three movies for horrors of Blumhouse it has to be a lower lot maze, maybe behind the Mummy or in the soundstage where Exorcist was (could be the new unofficial Blumhouse place)

When murdy tweeted krampus I thought off Ghostbusters FE. The back lot was like its own zone, 3 mazes, dj and food truck. You could hit 3 mazes in 30 min on a good day. I think it's possible to come back but the curious G parking lot seems more convenient and outta their way while working/filming.

I think it’ll probably be a Horrors of Blumhouse since the costumes would be very advanced for one maze but still will be great either way

So glad we got to go though the Playhouse together!! It was so much fun
