People trash Ghostbusters 2, but the comedy is still solid. This and the Court scene are still one of the funniest moments in the series for me.

Double irony in this scene. The first guest pretty much predicted Vigo's resurrection and the Alien prediction is the same year as the Melissa McCarthy reboot. 😂

Fun fact the 1st time I watched ghostbusters 2 was a week before the date she mentioned

I want to go back to 1989. They mentioned 2016, at the time it seemed like a long ways off. Instead it was eight years ago. At least the end of the world hasn’t happened…yet.

People don't know what they want. We love Ghostbusters! We want more Ghostbusters! Not too much different! But ooh not too much the same! Actually we never wanted another Ghostbusters! The film is fine. Maybe needed more time in the oven but it would've gotten that if not for corporate oversight.

Should have warned him in 2016 there will be another Ghostbusters film that will alienate biased fans due to its poor attempts to recreate the original film and its tone and humor without understanding how and why it worked in the first place. While having a feminist message which was over-exaggerated, aggressive, and possibly even misandristic due to the way the male characters are portrayed. Along with the many arguments and fights between the film's detractors, its supporters, and the staff involved in its creation which became next to impossible to ignore even for those who were not previously interested or didn't even know that the film existed. Which ultimately caused the resulting product to be a box office bomb, making $229 million worldwide against a $144 million budget. It did make back its budget in the international box office, but it struggled to recoup the money spent on advertising, resulting in a $70 million loss for Sony. Why didn't she warn him?
